Youre on another level, my friend. Less is always more than you think. The piece is amazing. You created a wonderful musical arrangement around the outstanding vocals, and with the instruments you used you perfectly completed your work. Well done. For me, this is one of your best. Im very happy to see you moving in the right direction, and soon well be hearing real gems from you. Ill listen to it again later, especially regarding mixing and production, etc., because right now I cant be calm enough to pay attention to the details.
With respect,
Chris
It has to be said that 80 percent of it is the vocals; I've added very little. But as you say, I don't want to go crazy adding instruments when I don't even know how to adjust them properly yet. That's my goal now: to have acceptable sound quality and then start creating when I have the time and mental clarity.
You have no idea how much this opinion means to me because of the admiration I have for you.
Best regards, Juan Carlos
Drinks, night, a few lights, the sea at our feet, and people. Thats what comes to mind. On a beach at a beach bar, in Greece, in my country, sipping my drink and getting splashed by the sea. A very nice track, and the different turns in the melody make it even more interesting. Be well, my friend.
Brother that sounds like a vacation plan coming true ! i see this happening for you for sure!!! Thank you for sharing this epic moment my brother'' have a great week.
I can already see it as an image through your music, this whole scene comes alive. Its impressive when the listener can truly feel that. I devoted a great deal of time years to learning how to visualize our music. It all started back when we created a soundtrack for Greek television inspired by the Exodus of Messolonghi, that epic struggle during the Ottoman occupation. Back then, the music had to become images. And the same thing happens with your own works here. Im truly very happy with the quality of the music Im hearing, brother. Bravo. In the end, our previous conversation was worth it after all.
Take care, my friend. Chris
Good morning. I dont have much time to listen to tracks on LM every day. I checked your pieces and this one here is cinematic, Id say with a tense atmosphere, and it easily creates an image or a film-like scene in the listeners mind. I really liked it. I would just be a bit less soft in the mix. Richard will understand, Regards, Chris - LINEAR FADE
Hi LINEARFADE, thanks and noted. I am the same though regarding time etc... it is a shame at times because you can miss out as well on some great tracks! I will let Richard know about the mix on this track and probably update soon.
Oh, what a beautiful and uplifting song! I was completely absorbed by your voice amazing! Ill listen to it again so I can pay closer attention to the music as well. Really wonderful!! Congratulations to all of you!
Chris
Im coming back from a long trip and just opened LM. I read that youre in pain, and Im sorry to hear that. I often go through the same thing because of work. But if pain helps you create pieces like this, then maybe its not such a bad thing after all! Fantastic composition. I dont know if its exactly what our friend thisismyescape describes, but what I hear is a wonderful and very inventive piece, beautifully crafted in every aspect. Thank you, my friend. Ill listen to it again tomorrow with more attention, because right now Im exhausted.
Take care and I hope you feel better very soon.
Chris
thankyou Chris i tried to explain how the work came about and the permission i asked, its like here Chris, I have sang on over 75 songs from our community, lots of friends too, but i always ask them first, some people must think I'm pushing to be pro, I'm not, i do this for me and my mental health first and foremost if i ever get a reward, i will be truly grateful but that is not my goal that is being a good man a good father and an exceptional grandad. i know i am popular in our community i have helped build it this ismyescape must be the headteacher kind, intellegent but no common sense, if i feel I can give feedback on a track be it critical or not, I will say it, i would certainly never be narrow minded, he is no expert, although he may have thought he was, i have two friends away from LM too one had a No1 hit 1978 and they are both still pro today the other being a session drummer for 30 years, and our own Manuela, these are the people i learnt from. thanks for the comment and listen and your warm wishes for my recovery
Good morning, Abner. I understand you with all my being when it comes to what you write and these emotions. It is important to find an outlet and to feel that there is someone who cares for you and your loved ones. I respect that completely. Here I heard some very good ideas which, with a little (or perhaps a lot of) work, can become truly excellent. I will listen more carefully later this afternoon and give you a better opinion. Have a good day, my friend, and may you always have strength, With appreciation, Chris.
Chris! I appreciate you a lot, my brother. Thank you for taking the time to connect with my feelings and my work. A little more about me... sometimes I wish I could go back and change some of the wrong choices I made in life. You might say, But if you did, we wouldnt be here today talking, and thats true, but honestly, I would take any other outcome than the one Im going through right now.
When it comes to music, I wish I had learned how to read music properly. I was never taught how to play any of the instruments I learned over the years. I also suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome, so holding chords on the guitar can be painful, and Im deaf in my left ear, which makes recording with headphones and mixing music very difficult. I deal with more problems than that, but I wont bore you guys with all of it.
Am I worried about everything going on in my life? No. But its a battle I have to face every single day. Making music is the one thing that helps me escape the pain, and good friends like you make life a little easier with your kind words and support.
Thank you again, my brother. Have a great weekend!!!
Good morning, BaoBu. A very powerful track. Rhythm, energy Everything is placed beautifully the instruments, the guitars, the percussion. Your work is excellent. Congratulations, my friend! Great performances as well. Chris
Grazie amiche! I'll admit readily your tracks are more professional... but it's not a contest right? All we can do is show that we had fun and I think that's audible in this track :)
Dan, an epic production! Where should I even begin? The wonderful vocals, the amazing backing harmonies, the atmosphere of the sound, the stereo image, the unique pads, the percussion everything is fantastic, even the title itself. Congratulations to all of you. I am sure we will hear great things from your collaboration.
Oh, exceptionally cinematic. It could easily be the opening of a major event. The overall composition is truly beautiful. The percussion gives it an exotic character and an incredible groove-driven rhythm. With appreciation,
Chris
The fusion piece gained a completely different character through your absolutely professional way of playing the saxophone. Your performance is incredible so much so that I almost stopped paying attention to the rest of the track. Many congratulations, you are truly outstanding. I say this with complete sincerity, because I have listened to many wind instrumentalists throughout my musical life.
With appreciation,
Chris & LINEAR FADE Band
Who knows, perhaps soon we may look into a collaboration between us for a future project.
Good evening, my friend. If this is one of your first attempts at the demanding world of jazz, I cant even imagine what well be hearing from you in a little while. This is truly excellent work it has a fluent jazz feel with a subtle nu jazz character. Everything is placed perfectly. Bravo! Chris - LINEAR FADE Band
Good morning. It was exactly what I needed to start the day. A very powerful track, built with wonderful elements and sounds. The combination of analog instruments with electronic ones has always been one of my favorite blends. You created a strong Organic House piece, with the right progression of intensity and emotion, everything placed exactly where it should be. Perhaps, right around the 1:00 mark, you could slightly adjust the timing of the two pulse emotions, at the point where one enters into the other. That was actually one of the parts I liked the most. It is only a tiny detail I noticed it because I first listened through the monitors and then listened again with headphones. Amazing work, my friend!
With appreciation,
Chris
So the 1:00 min mark is a carefully planned counter rhythm method I have used before. If you noticed, the resulting combo almost gives you a "running up that hill" 16-beat cadence. But thank you for the props. I have loved Analog and electronic ever since Ultravox! (Jon Fox, not Midge) and Gary Numan days.
Bou, very nice. Wonderful elements umky vibes, blues, and rock. Very well performed, with an amazing rhythm. And not to mention the keyboards, which remind me of an M80-style sound, along with the fantastic guitar work.
Bravo, my friend, really beautiful work!
Chris - LINEAR FADE
I couldn't find the M80 keyboard? But I'm trying to explore more of my old Roland FA-06. I'm especially starting to like the synth sounds - I'm sure a real synth lover will be underwhelmed but they give a quite different vibe to what I usually do.
I listened to your track carefully. Daisys vocal is demanding in this performancestripped, almost without melody, but not spoken either, and quite challenging to frame within a musical arrangement. You managed to dress it beautifully with a soft, atmospheric sound, with the instruments gently and respectfully placed behind the voice (very important), allowing the vocal to remain the dominant element in the mix. The string passages are beautiful, and the percussion is equally well crafted. (I would personally bring them slightly more forward in the mix.) It is an excellent piece of work, and completely outside conventional boundariesmuch like our own work. My sincere congratulations.
Why many thanks Chris and well received considering your impeccable productions which are the gold standard in form and balance in my opinion. In retrospect I could of automated the swells more however I was second guessing the tonal moves and wondering if my ears were taking me in the right direction. However it was a really nice piece to work on and I like the movement into less beats orientated works. Wishing you well with URBAN STORIES and all future productions. Respects and Regards also.
From Love born through Joy and sorrow to songs created through passion and pain this path we follow I will follow with you again and again.
Yes, it is exactly as you described it. It has a very beautiful musical style, with vocals that are ideal for the track, and the musical arrangement is very successful. Overall, it is a very nice piece of work.
I should also say that it is hybrid electronic. It contains many analog elements, warm vocals, and a warmer master overall. I liked it very much.
Chris LINEAR FADE Band
Thank you my friend! You are right, Hybrid electronic is exactly correct for my work. I like to start with an electronic base and staple different things on top of that to see how they work together. Whether that makes it rock or pop or metal or whatever, doesn't matter to me.
Its actually not bad at all, even without having half the instruments, my friend. I listen to your tracks with great interest. I believe you have tremendous inspiration. A very distinctive sound, and you are a good musician. Very solid efforts. Outside the commercial spectrum, outside the classic mainstream flows. Well done. Chris - LINEAR FADE Band
I happened to come across your tracks by chance. Your sound is very good, well structured, and Id say youve already found your own style to a large extent. The vocals work really well with this urban late-night vibe, and I liked them a lot. Ill listen to the rest as well.
Overall, its a very strong production, both in terms of mix and mastering. Well donegreat work. I was genuinely impressed.
A very powerful track. The bassline froggie is fantastic, and the keyboard parts are flawless. As always, my friend. Very well arranged and perfectly balanced. I really enjoyed it.
Good morning, Fani. You wrapped Ebethbs vocals with very beautiful music. The composition is very well structured and arranged. I especially liked the subtle presence of the Hammond even though you wisely chose to keep it discreet, it still acts as the main atmospheric layer of the track, giving the vocals the perfect foundation to sit on.
Its a very beautiful and gentle piece. Congratulations. The mix and mastering also sounded very good to me, although unfortunately Im listening through AirPods, so its not exactly the most accurate monitoring environment.
I am glad you like it my friend !! Thank you very much for your so encouraging comment !! It's important for me to listen to the opinions/reviews of people who actually make really good music like you...since I'm just an amateur hobbyist. Cheersssssssssss !!
I truly enjoyed it! Like all your tracks, its fantastic. Great sounds, chords, balance, and amazing vocals. Honestly, congratulationsIm really looking forward to the release of your album.
With respect for your music and appreciation,

Youve done an amazing job! I heard wonderful chords blending beautifully in between the others. The theme has a really beautiful electronic repetition sound, which gives it both a melodic and dynamic character at the same time. I really loved the first one I listened to. Very nice.
