Ah Dennis me ol mukka! How you doing? I saw your name pop up in the featured tracks so i thought i'd stop by and see what's been happening. Nice driving beat to this one, It's a bit electro a bit trance and a bit.....well koble really. There's a nice uplifting feeling which takes it off on a nice bouncy vibe.
One thing though if i may be critical for a moment. There is one lead sound that could do with a little tweaking. Not the chord one if that makes any sense. The riff works but it just sounds a little dry and maybe a bit too far back in the mix.
Other than that minor detail i enjoyed this tune.
FR (nick q)
Yeah! This is propper old school, dark techno. Reminds me of being in a dark warehouse, stumbling around off my head thinking "uh oh! Maybe i shouldn't have done that ketamine." lol.
Excellent atmospherics. I love the way you built on it and changed the vibe using subtle effects and introducing new layers.
Not enough good techno about at the moment so this was a nice suprise.
Thank u (Nice Name by the Way) for listen and Comment. Yeah..think the Style rules. I love that style of Tecno. Dark, Bad and Dirty. So u can explode on the Dancefloor and get in Trance for a few wonderfull Moments.
I liked it from the minute i pressed play. I love that rave piano sound and there's some old classic samples going on there.
I reckon you could bring it up a notch by just throwing in a snappy sounding snare drum. Other than that it's wild, it's in key and it's well produced.
I'm glad i stopped by.

Thanx yet again for the kind review my friend. I agree that this track needs a touch more to it. My excuse for not returning to it yet is that I am waiting for the sun to shine to feed me inspiration to do what I need to do to finish it ! Ha ha it's my excuse & I'm sticking to it. I really appreciate your listen & advice FreeR. Peace, Love & Justice to Ya.
It's as if Aretha Franklin was inside my lap top. I'm glad she's not though because i wouldn't have a clue how to get her out and it would be quite freaky.
This is quality Patricia, Absolute quality and i don't think any more needs to be said than that.
Bravo!!
Thank you for stopping by Free. I've been to your shop a couple times, but I don't understand house, and certainly not DnB, or techno, breakbeat...so I can't leave constructive comments. But I appreciate your comments :-) And your humor.
You see what you've done? You've got me listening to some more.
I wasn't sure what to expect from the genre "dirty" so naturally i homed in on this one. I like the way it twists, turns and morphs in and out of the various different synth effects. There's elements of hip hop, old school and electro going on and i like the way you kept it short and sweet.
Again, Different from the last few i've listened to so nobody can accuse you of being a one trick pony huh?
Keep on keeping on.
FR
Ah, One of my favourite genres and i'm not dissapointed. I'm thinking Norman Cook with a little bit of Prodigy and some flavours of Gnarls Barkley. Not a bad mash up if i may say so myself.
If i may make one suggestion then perhaps the bass could come down a notch or two just to enhance the vocal a little more.
A minor complaint really. You've got skills lady!
Bravo!
your suggestions are spot on..and me saying i did the "post" work is a bit misleading. this track is part of my demo project, so i havent done post on any of them. no mixing or mastering, just recording and uploading, as im only using them as a blueprint of sorts...to get a feel for the layout of the song, as well as whether or not people dig it enough for me to record and mix a proper version of the track. as previously stated...im a lazy bird...
i love that youre feelin' my work. your listens and reviews are beyond appreciated. thanks for your continued support, and if the monkey that sits on my shoulder and fores me to write 24/7 ever gives me a break, i promise i will get back over to your page and listen/review more of your tracks.
Cheers!
I'm liking this one. Takes me back to the days when i could go out clubbing without looking like an old bloke who really shouldn't be there. I don't think the quality of it as bad either. It was a little bassy but nothing that the old graphic eq couldn't sort out with ease.
Can't beat a bit of old school techno! Thumbs up.
I'm jealous of your vocal talents O.D. (believe me i've tried but i just sound like one of those losers from the x factor ((at least i realize)) ) You have a knack for songwriting and the musical ability to piece it all together as well. A rare talent on this site and every time i stop by i enjoy what i hear.
Sadly i'm only listening on my crappy lap top speaker so it's hard to give anything other than a praise for hitting the right notes review. But i would like to play this again on my proper sound system when i get a chance. Hopefully that should speak for its self.
DONT YOU DARE LISTEN TO THIS ON GOOD SPEAKERS! lol its a demo...the levels are piss. i really just wanted some feedback on the song itself. the production side will come later...if people confirm this song is good enough to produce.
Thank you soooo much for your kind words. Im so glad you liked what you heard. the listen is much appreciated.
Cheers for the review!
16 downloads and counting Mr Shoo. Thanks for not being a big stinge and sharing that.
I'm not going to bother with the usual a$$ kissing malarkey as i think a download speaks for it's self. Instead i'd just like to ask what kit you used to do that? I'm looking to broaden my horizons and there's some sounds in that which are unfamilaiar territory to the DAW i'm currently using. You can never have too much ammunition in your arsenal if you know what i mean?
I like the riff and the beat patterns. You've kept it interesting by adding in some nice little breaks. I can't help feeling that it needs a bit more depth just to chunk it up a bit. Like perhaps a bit of sub bass to compliment the bell riff or maybe a VST synth line.
Nice idea's so far.
As Jimmy Kranky would say, Fandabidoozy!! (I dunno if you'll even know who Jimmy Kranky is but that basically means it's bloody brilliant)
What captures me the most is the clarity of this piece. Everthing sits in exactly the right place, the instruments compliment each other perfectly and i love the unpredictableness of the beat patterns.
I'm taxing a copy of this so i can play it when the sun comes out again. Cheers!!
Hey Nick thanks man!..never heard of Jimmy Kranky unfortunately,he sounds a bit like Karl in An Idiot Abroad (I really dig that guy and want to start a political party with him!..lol)..I'm off to google him!...cheers Dave :)
Thought i'd stop by and check out some of your material as you've been giving my comedy ego a boost.
i'm liking this. The intro kind of reminded me of the Quake soundtrack (i don't know if you remember that game, i think it was trent reznor that did the soundtrack)
I like the way you introduce new parts and change the song structure as it goes along. Always morphing, progressing and building as the track progresses.
stellar stuff.
Yeah i can see why you're doing more d&b because this tune sounds like something straight out of drum&bass; arena as well. I hate it when you lose your stuff. It's happened to me so many times i've lost count.
But anyway, Love the work with the basses on this tune. You've got a really up tempo banging style which really suits the D&B genre.
Great work m8. great work.
Seriously, when I lost the files I thought I would die! :) It's so stressful! I think I need to buy a 3 backup HDD's, that this does not happen in the future! all my tapes on looperman, are old, I think I'll have to quickly set up new tracks...Thanks once again for listening and review
Hey Alen. What happened to youy bro? You were a little green alien last time i stopped by, You crossed over to the dark side? This is viscious mate. Dark gritty and full of dark synths to get those anxiety levels pumping.
Digging the swine flu sample as well.
Killer tune!!
Hey wassup ... Yeah I changed my picture, a new beginning brother, new beginning .... 2-3 months ago, my pc is totally destroyed, I lost all files and projects, and I think it's time to change something! I stopped producing hip hop, pop, etc. ..!so I switched completely to drumstep and drum and bass production! I'm glad that you diggin this track, many thanks!
This has put me in the mood for a sausage sandwich because it's a BANGER!!
Even on my puny lap top speakers it's sounding fat. Like the dark grittyness of it and the vocal samples fit brilliantly.
You must be feeling proud of this one and rightly so.
wow thnx man! im am a litle but i must say there is muts beter stuf coming from me its only needs some time.
but thnx a lot for the feedback i can appreciate this.
Ah ha! Here's someone i haven't spoken to for ages.
Loved this track. It's got a dubby kind of edge to it which is a sound i'm very fond of.
It's going on the mp3 so i think that more clearly shows my opinion of it than words can do.
Nice to see your still posting
FR (Nick Q)
This is really chilled, floaty and melodic. Great production work and all round good effort.
A splendid tune to put your feet up and kick back to & i especially dug the blippy sound that came in towards the end.
Thumbs up.
When i read it's music....ish i thought it was going to be one of those tracks that you had to be on acid to understand. But it's not! It's got a fat synth line with lots of nice efx going on and i think it's great!
FR
An origional take on an old classic. The beat pattern is border lining on D&B. I like that idea. One thing that slightly puzzles me is that going through your tracks your clearly a rock fan. So i'm just wondering how come you ended up doing a dance show?
Anyway, Great track.
FR
Ha Ha, yes it must seem odd. Long story short, I learned to play guitar when I was younger and my Dad was (is) a DJ. I was always helping him so learned his trade too. Then I became a club/rave DJ in the 90's. Then BOOM! Family time...3 kids later I started strumming on the guitar more. Then an opportunity came up for radio DJ so I went for it.
As you can see I don't try and confine myself to one style so Rock, trance, dub, its all good my friend. Thanks for the comment, hope my reply helps.

This is now the third time i've tried to comment on this track so we should be able to conclude why there's such a lack of them if it doesn't work this time. Well i will at least but you won't have read it if it doesn't work, so i don't really know why i keep bothering to say "i think more people need to listen to this track" because i just get the message "error, action not allowed" ah well.
Yeah this rocks! It reminds me a little of siouxsie and the banshees or the breeders, but with a modern electronic twist. I really enjoyed this number. +2 house points.

Drums, percussion and fx - vengeance sample packs.
Basses - sylenth1 for the electro bit,.. sub from nexus
Synths - sylenth1, nexus and vanguard
Surely you've come across those on your travels??
Thanks again!
