on Centerfold by Xverted
This is a really nice intro i'm hearing now. I'm waiting for it to go double time and slam in with the D&B beat but it doesn't look like thats going to happen.
It's a cool riff and that bassline is mega groovy but personally i would have put it in the electronic genre.
Well mixed and a pleasure to listen to.

on Shamanic Voyage The After Dark Glow by brillbilly
Thirty seconds in and i'm already liking it. It's mellow but yet it gets your heart racing at the same time. Great title for the track. It really is like a shamanic voyage.
What are you using to make those synth sounds? I love those sounds but i don't have anything like them.
Dig the progressive groove of this track and that vocal layering works well too.
Like the way you dropped it out then brought it back in for the grand finale.
Top track!!

Hi FR

I just used what ever sounds i liked for synths, from my soundpools, then i play around with pitch n reverb/substain etc.!

The rest is just slaping tickling and gently tucking up in bed,Drugs optional lol

on MAKE THAT NEEDLE BOUNCE by beerling1970
I wasn't sure about the intro but then the beat kicked in and then i thought "this is hot stuff" The vocal work is superb (is that you?)
I know that reviews that just say "Awesome track" aren't very helpfull but in this case there's not much more to say, because, IT IS an awesome track.
I was only dissapointed that it ran for 3 minutes, i could have done with a lot longer of that piece.
great work mate!!

From the second it started i thought "this sounds like a good one" and guess what? IT IS!!!!
The mix is on point, the rapping is quality, the vibe is good and i have to say you nailed it with this one Benjizo.

on Fixation Desperation by visionarysoundsystem
Well this is a slight contrast to the last track i just listened to. This is very retro and chilled.
Love that swirly synth and that vocal fits perfectly.
Anyway, i just noticed that you haven't uploaded anything yet this year so i'm just wondering if all is good with you?
Be good to have you back on the loop producing cool sounding tunes like this one.

Hi mate all is cool with me thanx. Been a hectic year so far with various issues and TBH music production has suffered a bit because of this. Busy with some other projects (Loop Radio for one) & also had some family stuff going on. Hopefully I can find time soon to put some finishing touches on some work that is almost ready & get it up here. Great to catch up & take care.

on Falling From The Sky Broken Branch Mix by visionarysoundsystem
Do you know what i like best about visiting your profile? Well it's because i ALWAYS hear something that really appeals to me. Like myself you enjoy a good solid rhythm based track and this is no exception.
I can imagine this being dropped in a club mix with ease.
Love that fat square bass and the percussion you've used.
This is a real banger mate and do you know what? When i've finished listening to it i'm going to play another.

on Walking dreams by johnnyproducing
Nice piano intro with the swirly synths. Nice swooshing noises and synths to boot.
It's a nice melody and everything jels together niceley. It's a bit too happy for my taste but it's well mixed and has some cool sounds going on.
Nice one.

Thanks fr for the comment, haha it is indeed quiet happy but you know it was fun making it ;)

Maybe I should go back to making something like this or the other track again, I am not sure as of yet

Digging this piece here mate (I can tell you've made this one yourself)
Excellent bit of dark tech trance.
I really like the breakdown in the middle of the track where it goes all spooky then the beat comes back in and the percussive section is wicked.
Clearly you don't need to pass other peoples tracks off as your own because you clearly know what you're doing.
I really enjoyed this piece and it's nice to find a fellow looperhead who enjoys a bit of up tempo dance music.
Great tune!!!

on Sik Style - This Far by SikStyle1
This track is good from the opening line. The lyrics are good, your voice (if that is you singing?) is completely on point.
The riffs are good, the melodies and the harmonies are superb and the mix is pretty spot on as well.
I'm glad i stopped by to listen to this track.

on Enchanted Land by XmafaX
I listened to the intro and i thought this sounds like a trance track. Then the guitars came in with relentless distortion.
Great melodies and riff changes going on. I like the way it's kind of a hybrid of electronic and natural sounds.
Every couple of bars it changes and it must have taken quite some time to come up with because it just keeps getting better as it goes along.
Definitely one for the MP3
Cheers M8.

on shout by superion
Niceley done, I always liked the original tears for fears track and this has a real old school d&b feel to it. Takes me back to the 90's when the jungle scene exploded.
I'm actually working on a d&b tune today. Perhaps we should do a collab?
Good to see you're still on the site. A name change does you good every now and again. I'm thinking of changing mine to "Simon Cowell is a c**t & so are Ant & Dec" don't think Shan would appreciate it though.
Anyway, cool track Superion.

This reminds me of an old fighting game called samurai showdown. It has a real eastern feel to it.
Like the way you introduced the piano for the final part.

on Beat 1 by GRIMLOOPS
Nice beat and bassline, I hear a bit of what sounds like vinyl crackling going on, was that done on purpose?
Anyway, it's a nice spooky tune and would sound great if you put some rapping over the top of it.
Dig this tune.

on Hiccups by EXXER
Thought i'd drop by since you helped me out in the forums.
This is kind of like a cross between electro and dubstep.
That riff is almost like something classical.
Like the way you changed the sounds and introduced new parts as the song progresses.
Interesting track.

on Speechless by Mahloo13
Figured i'd stop by as you helped me out in the forums.
I see you're still doing your one track at a time on the profile malarkey.
R&B isn't really my thing (it's too smoochy) but that said it sounds very professional and definitely worthy of radio play.
Really, really smooth production and i'm sure the ladies will love this one.
Good to see your still sharing your outstanding productions.

on The Best Feeling by Planetjazzbass
Since this morning i'm feeling like the best feeling is finding an ad blocker that works this seemed like an appropriate tune to home in on.
This one's kind of abstract at the beginning, like one of those long 80's intros.
Then the beat kicks in and the music starts to get to work when the guitar kicks in with the beat.
It's a real builder of a track with a really clever time signature. Must have been a nightmare getting this one right but you've done it and it was definitely worth listening to (Not like that Robbie Williams twat. He wants shooting he does)

on After the levee broke Zepp Tribute by topvega
Listened to this whilst i was getting ready and it had me banging my head whilst i was getting dressed.
Aside from the beat and the tempo it's not like the original, but it does have that classic rock sound that Jimmy Page used to make.
It's a great track but if you could find someone to add a few vocals it would be even better.
That aside, it's a flawless piece of guitar playing that's been well mixed and well thought out.
My first track of the day and it's a blinder!

Thanks FR, the drum sample is what set the tone for this track. Didn't want to rehash something Zeppelin already did. Wanted to capture that vibe and energy in something new.

Thanks for the kind words and for taking the time to listen.

on badtrip ft Jeffierenee by doctorcatface
This is good but it aint hardcore. It's definitely metal.
A good piece of metal at that (I've never seen a completely rectangular wave form before so credit is due for getting all the levels to match)
This is a fat piece of guitar work and i like the little vocal parts which come in and compliment the guitar.
This was a great piece to listen to (even though i was expecting a hardcore track)
Keep 'em coming.

but many thanks for spending some time and hearing me out, im very grateful for that. this was to spearhead my lp till my vocal anchor went to gorilla to stagnate, so i went back to instrumentation, thank you so much for dropping by :D

on Good Enough by blxckcxsper
Well R&B isn't really my bag but i can still tell a good, well produced track when i hear one.
Like the synth work and there's good harmonising with the vocals. (although i prefer clean vocals as opposed to auto tune but that's a personal thing)
It's a well written track and i'm sure your mum will be proud of your production skills.

on Paradise Lost by XmafaX
Loving this intro, reminds me a little of the Cult (one of my favourite bands from back in my school days)
It's beautifully played and mixed, love the grungy guitar lick that comes in and takes it up a level.
The drumming is splendid as well with some great atmospherics.
This tunes got everything and i'm glad i stopped by because i'd forgotten how much i like a good bit of metal.

Thought i'd drop in and say hello.
I have no idea where your soul is i'm afraid but what i do know is i like this hammering track. I always seem to prefer the ones you've put vocals to and i think this one might just be my favourite so far.
This reminds me a little of a band called godflesh (but better)

Thanks for visiting my friend! Was defintely a cathartic collab with Benham! I prefer the ones I do vocals for too, that's why I'm trying to move that direction again. Trying to train myself not to use autotune anymore. I'm glad it's a fave for you! Really appreciate the F-ing excellent and the comment!

Thx FR for listening and not being inconvenienced with leaving a comment. Not familiar with the guy from The Stranglers but maybe Grotesk knows of him. Thx for the fav also. Grotesk is a looperman member, I created the music track and worked in the Grotesk vocals.

on I Made Beats-Feat-Holly by DJCeddy
I'm guessing you're new to this music making malarkey.
The vocal sample is in the wrong key so that needs adjusting.
The xylophone thing is out of time with the beat and the whole thing is just a bit weird really.
On the plus side you have managed to grasp the concept of layering instruments so it's not all bad news.
Just practice a bit more and use the forums for advice on how to improve.
Sorry to be blunt but it's not helpfull just to say "great track"

Hi FreeRadical. Yes you are right. I am still new to the scene. But I am having alot of fun experimenting and understanding what happens. Thank you for the positive criticism. It makes me happy as I know someone is taking me serious and is concerned about what I do. Thanks for the notes and tips> I will learn about keys etc from the forums for sure! No I agree, you have to be blunt at times. Gotta improve the music out there as well. I just made this one to see if the music community is out there. See what responses I get ha ha. I checked your profile FreeRadical. You are quite funny as well!

on classic by benjizo
I'm well out of my comfort zone with the hip hop genre but i know a good piece when i hear one. This is definitely one of those good pieces.
Like the vocal harmonising, sampling and drops.
It's a very mellow piece and would sound even better if you layered a rap pella over the top of it. (just an idea)
I'm glad i listened to this. It's chilled my mood.

on Ethnic Oud by M8TN
I've never come across a track in the "dirty" genre before so i had to home in on this one. Like the guitar playing although there seems to be too much low/mid range on the guitar in the first part of the track which drowns out the innitial vocals. It does sort it's self out when you add the effect and i could hear the vocal perfectly in the second part of the track.
Aside from that minor detail i enjoyed listening to this piece.

Thats cool man, thank you. I'll lower some ranges in the first part - indeed there is some sort of overload there - and replublish on that link at some point.
By the way, going from you profile, you ever decide for stand-up, I'd like tickets please :) hehe
