on The Laugh by maxvee
Now the drums might be very minimum on here I think ya did a nice job with 'em where ya had 'em. So to sum this up one- Change up or drop the Piano's ya used so that this doesn't sound like a clone of the other song. And do something with those laughs (I'm thinkin just get rid of 'em). I haveta say the ending baby laugh was cool (and kinda sweet). Later on mate!
on Green Street by maxvee
Beyond that you've got a pretty promising piece here. Thanks for sharing mate. Later on!

I love the concept and think that it's great to be able to come up with a track that either is or is from comedy. I did a Bloodhound Gang spoof on my song Bedroom Faces on much of the same premise. Though I decided later to drop the silly voc sams.
Killer arrangment mate. Later on!

'Fool me once,..'
Aww man, that's classic. It'll never give old. Jesus, what a boob! No wait, I got a better idea. We should start a drive to give him his own daytime kids show. Where he'd read books and try to edjamacate dem kids. Hahahahahaha! Great song mate, l-o-v-d it!

I'm also lovin the plucked strings ya used on this and the synth sequence that comes right after they diminish. Massive kudos bud. Adios!
on When The Boat Comes In by Planetjazzbass
Since it's been playing I've been taken to a dock in late spring (end of April) in the early afternoon. Looking out over the water with the sun to my back, the sky smeared with clouds covering a third of the darker part of the sky, with a few ships here and there in the U-shaped bay. The smell of sea air, faded tar, and food fill the nostrils. As handfuls of people, sprinkled here and there walk about (some are families, others are couple, others are small groups of friends), all with their own destinations. Right in front and a little to the right there is a medium sized fishing boat that's being cleaned off and tied down, as a father & son (with friend) crew tries to go home for the day. Thanks for the awesome vision mate. Will def sav/fav. Later on!
on The Way of all Flesh by Planetjazzbass
The guitars on this are sorta like the changes in heart rate mixed with the emotions felt on a nervous (system) level. Thanks man, now I can't turn off the lights (shudders in chair). Later on!
on Electro Funk by WhiteSands
As for this track, lemme hit replay so I can give it the full monty it deserves...
At the beginning, I love the basic retro synth leads that ya used. Which have kind of a Reggaeton/Tropical type of vibe to 'em. The higher bass toned synths ya used remind me of Kraftwerk in a way. This song's kinda like if Oceana had their own genre of music. Def gonna fav/sav this one. Thanks for sharing mate. Later on!

on Lance Johnson the Surfer by Planetjazzbass
The rest of this feels like it's from the vantage point of the other guy who actually caught the wave. And they're flitting back and forth between the area near the tube and the arc right in front of that. Zig-zagging up and down in a kind of shimmying fashion. And the best part of being there is being able to reach back and cup your hand in the water. Gawd, I miss those day man. Too busy to go and even if I wasn't the Gulf's surf stinks (great for Skim boarder's though, slumps shoulders sadly).
As for the vox, again, that was Bobby Duvall? Didn't sound like him. Eh (shrugs), must've been from one of those 60's beach flicks, huh? Wow, I just caught a visual and I'm thinkin they need to bring back that style of Bikini, know what I mean? Anyways, I'm off. Later on!
on devastation by bones2008
And in that kind of situation, I think that I'd be devastated too. So very apt name, mate. I love the grindy bass transition you've got in this coz it sounds super angry/frustrated. The drums on this are reminding me of somethin I heard on the Brain Bashers album I got. Dance to the House, I think (not 100 on that though). The usage of flighty synth on this is cool and it's tempo is very frenzied. Thanks for sharing. Lates mate!
prob not 1 of my better traks, but it served its purpose at the time, thanx for the review

on Horizon by Rorshach2021
Or not, this track seems to stand on it's own very well. And it's light layers would make it perfect for mash-up remix purposes. In fact, I dunno why, but this reminds me of a Paul Van Dyk track on his album Seven Ways. Maybe you could do something with that. I've already remixed him so I figure I should skip it.
Okay, nuff suggestions, the pad buildup in the third minute is outstanding. Kinda had me holding my beathe in wait for it to kick in fully. The following drop down of pads into the reintroduction of the Leads was also great. Kinda like the two of them are fighting for the limelight in this one. Thanks for sharing mate. Looking forward to more. Later on!
on Tharp by Planetjazzbass
Anyways, is this a remix? This sounds so different from the original that I can't really be to sure. I think I recognize the drums and crazy synths. Okay, nevermind, it is. For a second there I was flippin out man. You definately did this song justice. You took it outta the sky from high atmos and brought it down to earth, near the observatory. PJB rawkin out with this awesome mix. Thanks for sharing. Later on!
on Looking for the Voodoo by Planetjazzbass
As for this one, I'm surprized that ya didn't use any out-there vocal samples that you do so well and cool. I dunno why that occured to me, probably because the lead Guitar licks on this are in some ways like one of your other, older tracks on here (Tenn Hut I'm thinkin, but not 100 percent on that... Or was it the one where ya used a sample of Marlon Brando's, hmm, I dunno).
Starting over, the drum intro to this is totally Gonzo man. Flippin crazy and I loved it. Ok, I stand infected, err, I mean corrected, ya did use those Monkey (?) calls on this. Which takes me to tha jungle. Oooh, and I gotta massively thank you now, because I just remembered a movie I saw on VHS that I needta get on DVD (or just try to sample directly from the tape) this perfect tribal sample, yes! The stormy effects ya added also really add to the illusion of being in a jungle, during monsoon season. Lates!
on Ground Around by COL_GRINDER
The bass and kick remind me of Teenage Waistland.
on Forerunner by Tiltedbeats
SAX
Playin, man, it's great! Very mellow and paired well with the Clarinet (?) that seems to be crying out to the other. While the Sax acts like a parent kissing away the tears. The Piano keys remind me of running up and down hills. With the drums... Umm, they're cool, but don't remind me anything to tie into the picture above. Maybe the breakdown near the end? Like Jack & Jill, stumbling down a hill? Yeah, there we go. Rawk on!
the instrument that sounds like a sax is actually a K2K solo cello soundfont! it sounds very much like the sax because of the deep thick sound it creates!
but there is a sax in there layered every 64 beats (to help the build). other instruments include a flute, violin, guitar! really a mixture of classic instruments!
i see what you mean about the piano! hahahah thanks Donnie, appreciate your time!
on I DOn't Care by Biggzula
I can feel you on the nasty EX thing. Kinda went through this thing a lil over a year ago. The 'Fade away' part were you talkin about how yer mind seemed to be flirting the edge of sanity? Like lookin out a mile away wishing you could make yourself (or everything you see) disappear? I had moments like that too, mostly at the place I was workin then.
Nice pad usage at the near the end too. Later on!

I'm so confussed, R2. I'm afraid my circuits are failing me.
Ok, I'm not below so it's gotta be the other. Anyways, I liked the riffs before and still do. Gotta question, you ever think about doing a bluesy rendition of the vocals? With some Harmonica and maybe some Piano or Organs? I could totally see this being sung in that fashion. Brother, you got soul (slaps hands). Later on!
