on till end (short version) by Forkye
Play 2 now...
Sweet start ya got here mate. Though given the time I wish it was a bit longer, but hopefully you'll post the full version of this soon.
I really dig the lil drum break downs ya got on here. And for some odd reason this is remindin me of the way some of the songs sounded on old NES games (but not as cheesy with the 8bit sound as they were). So it's the vibe, I mean. Kinda like playin somethin like Gradius or Contra or something. Very bangin. Later on!

Pretty funky track mate! Though in a way I wouldn't say that this is conventional Breakbeat, I'd be more inclined to call it a cross between Down-tempo and Trip-hop, but that's just me.
And the way ya worked the acapella in gives it an almost alien atmosphere, ya know? I could totally see people trippin hard to this. Later on!

This is the first true Breakbeat song I've heard in this category in a few days.
And ya, it is a real shame that ya accidentally deleted the file. I kinda had that happen once when I mistakenly saved over a song I had been working on with this new file that I had started. Lost like 30% of my work (or a day and a half's worth of mixing). Isn't that such a pain in the a**?
Okies, falling back on the track. This reminds me of a mix between Baby Annes stuff and this one song by Deepsky with the deteriorating synth sound ya used on this. And the vocal sample ya used reminded me of Trip Theory. Pretty cool stuff mate. Later on!

Yeah, this track took me back too. Dunno exactly what style this reminded me of (acid rap perhaps, in the same leagues as that song 'I gotta feelin someone's watchin me'). Mixed a lil with Green Velvet's style (some offshoot of House whose name I forget now too). Pretty crazy stuff to say the least, thanks for sharing. Later on!

Yeah, this is a very sweet song, very progressive. Kinda balistic with it's flow, but ya pulled off mixin this together well. The only thing I could suggest from the last time this played is working on the end a little. Maybe just fade it out quicker because it kinda sounds like this was about to go into another mix and was cut off right as the other one was starting. Anyways, this is fantastic mate. Thanks for sharing. Later on!

Given the length is it safe to assume that this isn't finished?
Cool start ya got here, but ya might wanna work on yer transitions and the way the different parts play into eachother coz they sounded a little muddled (or as if they clashed). I def dig the concept though. Keep at it mate. Later on!
Matsumoto
Matsumoto replied Unknown
It is finished, it's not a normal song verse, chorus, verse type song, see it more like Tv show theme song. I think the differences part goes well together.

Yeah mate, nicely done! Very retro quality to it, ya know? Kinda like stepping into a time machine and popping out in the year 1984 (when break dancing was at it's commercial peak). And I'm pretty sure you could stretch this out even longer if ya pull up the entire arrangement and do kind of a pairing thing with having a female sounding vocoded type of voice (or maybe do what Daft Punk did with that one track they did their vocoded voice like they were playing keys on their synth). Excellent stuff here. Later on!

Shamen replied Unknown
thank you very much. the retro was not true it that seduced away ripening with this would be him, but it's possible, that this says hello then back up. succes to hit the next guideline, some 2-3 with a year always. then if there will be a proper lady with an entrepreneur mood who would recite a couple of things to us, we catch it to rehearse with a female sound. thank you for the words..

Is it safe to guess that this is a work in progress (given it's length)? You've definitely got a good start here with all of the things you got goin on here. There are parts here that remind me of this and other parts that remind me of another thing. It'd be kinda interesting to see how this progresses (if ya continue mixing it). Later on!

I'll admit that this is a pretty cool groove, but it also sounds like ya needta work on adjusting the volume levels just a tad, because the bass-like synth seems to overpower the drums a little. And the vox sound like they could use a bit of tweeking too (though I like 'em for the most part). Like at first they sound drowned out by the bass-like synth and then as the song progresses they sound too pronounced. I'm thinkin that beyond leveling 'em out ya might wanna consider thowing an effect or 2 on 'em too (like light distortion with flanger or somethin). Which is one thing Garageband is great for. Anyways, this sounds like a very decent beginning to a bangin song worthy of being compared to some other artists like Primal Scream, NIN, and similar (with a slight twist of Tricky's off-the-wall style). Later on!

Diggin the breakish drums ya used to start this along with the panned synth tones. And though I dig the dream-like part ya move into I think ya might wanna work on finetuning the transition between the intro stuff and the pads. Though given it's length am I right in guessing that yer not finished with this yet?
As for the description, I totally hear ya. And I tell ya that last bus ride home was the longest and yet the best. Just knowing that in 30 or so minutes there would be freedom for 3 months. Cool stuff. Later on!

Man, I recognize some of the loops ya used in this. Did ya use Cakewalk software to make this? And from the sound of it ya used a midi keyboard? I think my favorite part of the song were those crazy drums and drum fills ya used on this. Thanks for sharing. Later on!

Everything was made in FL studio XXL. I made all the drum sequence, for the leads I use Lollapaloza vst and chords FL slayer. i don`t have a midi controller or keyboard so everything happen seat a few hours in front of the PC Thanks to listen.

As for the desc, why are ya goin to Canada? I almost hadta go to Wisconsin with my resv unit, but luckily didn't get slotted to go.
As for the track, interesting mix mate. Seems like ya found 2 genres that were complimentary of one another here. Thanks for sharing. Later on!

on STRAWBERRY WOMAN by Rockym778
Hey mate, is there supposed to be a 13 second silent gap at the beginning of the track. Coz at first I thought the track was messin up and not playin. Just thought I'd throw that out there (coz it might cause people to close out the window before the track starts playin, which'll result in fewer reviews). Okies, I'm gonna let this play through the rest of the way.
Play 2 now...
Okies, since 'Experimental' isn't a current genre choice on here I'm gonna recommend that ya put this in 'Wierd' instead, because this doesn't sound like a conventional Dance track.
Though for yer first mix with the program I'd say that yall were getting a handle on it pretty quickly. The only thing that I think this track is missing is a pronounced drum beat. I can hear what sounds like effected percs, but they seem kinda dull without the "boom boom" of the kick drum, ya know? Interesting stuff otherwise. Later on!

Before I begin I'm gonna say 'Kudos' for sharing the sources of this track. Though it helps when ya put the name as well (just FYI). And now I'm gonna let the track play through.

Cool track mate. Though ya might wanna work on the volume levels coz it sounds like the male's vocals are up a bit higher than the female's one. And they slightly compete with the level of the drums. And I think the parts with the female voice are great BTW. Decent mix mate. Later on!

on Shorty Play Checkers With Me full version by dirtydishrag
I recognize the bass loop on here (couldn't tell ya who it's by though, can't remember). Okies, now as for the vocals they sound nice, but I'm thinkin that their levels are a bit hot when compared to the rest of the mix. So if ya go to mess with this again I'd recommend ya turnin 'em down just a tad to have 'em blend in better.
And if the track isn't finished yet (gauging on it's length) then it'd be kinda cool to see how this progresses out. Later on!

Thank you for the review. I totally agree with you on the vocals, I think when we finish this song up I'll lay the vocals down again. I just feel like I kind of hit a brick wall as far as finishing up the song. Hopefully I can find the right loops to help me wrap this thing up. Peace.

This was done with Midi wasn't it? I can totally hear it with some of the higher keys. It also sounds like ya might've used a Guitar too, am I right? Anyways, with the Midi stuff ya might wanna be careful with the soundfont you use because some of 'em sound kinda outta place IMO. Other than that this was pretty cool. Later on!

Nice usage of Copper (or is it Silver, hmm?) on this. And silly me, for a second there I almost forgot where I was coz I was gonna say that some of the samples sounded super familiar on here. And then I looked up, haha (slaps forhead). It's kind of an interesting mix because unlike so many of the other ones I've heard this one doesn't follow the same formula or use alot of the sample loops like the other people who competed did. So like the winning track, this one also takes on a life of it's own. Very cool!

As I was saying previously about 'the formula' (points out track's intro). Okies lemme shut it and let the track play through the rest of the way.
Play 2 now...
For this mix though I really respect how the artist kept everything mellow and down-tempo. Which give the track a great light and dreamy quality about it. Unlike any of the others that I've heard so far. Like I could totally see this being a part of the new Secret of NIMH movie's soundtrack. Maybe even on one of the film's trailors (shrugs). Kinda capturing that innocence and imagination of youth, ya know? Very nice stuff here. Later on!

Yeah mate, I'd say that this would be House. You def got the beat down and it has that basic, gritty edge that's so common in House. Though in some ways I could see this easily mixing into a Tech, Electro or Progressive set (even Industrial or Trance if done right). You did a pretty good job with this and what I'd recommend is that ya find a decent online radio station to listen to more forms of EDM (www.di.fm is the one I go to most). Thanks for sharing. Yeah Doani's right, that is pretty sad, but it's something I've been noticing more and more on here. Eh, what can ya do ay (shrugs)!?
Anywho, back on track with the track. The drums are nice, but I think I'm diggin the synth ya used a whole lot more. And the whispered/growly sequence ya used reminds me of stuff by Deepsky. Fantastic group if you've never heard 'em before, BTW. I've gotta say that you've done a really splendid job here. Thanks for sharing. Later on!

The beats on this were pretty solid. Parts of it reminded me of classic Electro. And I'm also diggin the FX sounds ya threw in here and there. Though some of 'em kinda came out a lil too strong I thought. As did the vox bits ya had, no biggy though. Just some slight volume curve tweaking and levels adjusting in the progs mixer app and it'll be good to go. Oh, and I almost forgot, but I also like how the bass is kinda basic, but ballistic in the note placement ya chose. We're of similar schools there. Thanks for sharin mate. Later on!

I'm thinkin that this is a pretty sweet track. Dug everything save for the way it ended. It sounded like you were fading the track, but maybe had it cut off coz of file size constraints.
Anyways, I really loved the way ya worked in Holly's vocals into this. Gave it a very etheral vibe I thought. Yet you were able to keep the House groove alive throughout the entire song. Which is great for the genre. I can tell ya put alotta thought into this track. Nicely done mate. Later on!
