Cool track mate. Though ya might wanna work on the volume levels coz it sounds like the male's vocals are up a bit higher than the female's one. And they slightly compete with the level of the drums. And I think the parts with the female voice are great BTW. Decent mix mate. Later on!

This was done with Midi wasn't it? I can totally hear it with some of the higher keys. It also sounds like ya might've used a Guitar too, am I right? Anyways, with the Midi stuff ya might wanna be careful with the soundfont you use because some of 'em sound kinda outta place IMO. Other than that this was pretty cool. Later on!

Nice usage of Copper (or is it Silver, hmm?) on this. And silly me, for a second there I almost forgot where I was coz I was gonna say that some of the samples sounded super familiar on here. And then I looked up, haha (slaps forhead). It's kind of an interesting mix because unlike so many of the other ones I've heard this one doesn't follow the same formula or use alot of the sample loops like the other people who competed did. So like the winning track, this one also takes on a life of it's own. Very cool!

For this mix though I really respect how the artist kept everything mellow and down-tempo. Which give the track a great light and dreamy quality about it. Unlike any of the others that I've heard so far. Like I could totally see this being a part of the new Secret of NIMH movie's soundtrack. Maybe even on one of the film's trailors (shrugs). Kinda capturing that innocence and imagination of youth, ya know? Very nice stuff here. Later on!

Yeah mate, I'd say that this would be House. You def got the beat down and it has that basic, gritty edge that's so common in House. Though in some ways I could see this easily mixing into a Tech, Electro or Progressive set (even Industrial or Trance if done right). You did a pretty good job with this and what I'd recommend is that ya find a decent online radio station to listen to more forms of EDM (www.di.fm is the one I go to most). Thanks for sharing. Anywho, back on track with the track. The drums are nice, but I think I'm diggin the synth ya used a whole lot more. And the whispered/growly sequence ya used reminds me of stuff by Deepsky. The beats on this were pretty solid. Parts of it reminded me of classic Electro. And I'm also diggin the FX sounds ya threw in here and there. Though some of 'em kinda came out a lil too strong I thought. As did the vox bits ya had, no biggy though. Just some slight volume curve tweaking and levels adjusting in the progs mixer app and it'll be good to go. Oh, and I almost forgot, but I also like how the bass is kinda basic, but ballistic in the note placement ya chose. We're of similar schools there. Thanks for sharin mate. Later on!

I'm thinkin that this is a pretty sweet track. Dug everything save for the way it ended. It sounded like you were fading the track, but maybe had it cut off coz of file size constraints.
Anyways, I really loved the way ya worked in Holly's vocals into this. Gave it a very etheral vibe I thought. Yet you were able to keep the House groove alive throughout the entire song. Which is great for the genre. I can tell ya put alotta thought into this track. Nicely done mate. Later on!

Note to everyone else= This song sounds so much better if you have a sub woofer! Without one it kinda sounds like it has too many highs.
Now I think this is a pretty solid track mate. Besides what I mentioned above. Coz I'm thinkin that this'd play great in a club or arena, but not so much in a car (since they usually don't have great speaker assemlages from the manufacturers). And I think the name is very apt given the one synth sequence ya used on here. Kinda gives it a timeless and human edge (which is extraordinary for House music). Nicely done mate. Later on!

This one kinda jumps around a bit, but they manage to stay true to the vibe of the track. I'll admit that when the track first started I didn't know exactly what to expect. Yet it pulled together rather nicely.
There's only one thing I didn't much care for and that were those metal scrape sounding things ya had. And the male vocal sample is kinda iffy, but I'm not really a huge fan of voc-sams anyways. And last observation is that this had a very retro and somewhat oriental feel at the end. Cool stuff. Later on!

As for yer avatar, it reminds me of the one the DexDee use to have.
Now for the track, it's nice to see another artist who isn't afraid to push out their tracks, length-wise. Especially considering that it's a House tune. So that's pretty impressive. Most people seem to cut theirs off @ somewhere between 3 to 5 mins.
When the vocals initially started I though you had sampled Madonna coz the way it sounded on the first line or two. And the one ya paired it with reminds me of neo-soul stuff. Which I think helped to round 'em out evenly. The muffled male voice was kinda odd, but in a way it captures that bein high thing.
As for the melody there were parts of it that reminded me of another famous song I heard (though I'm currently blanking on it's name). And the one perc sound ya used with the drums that sounds kinda like a messed up sonar was pretty cool. All in all this is pretty nicely done and I really can't think of any suggestions to make it any better. Cheers!
As for the track, I always keep in mind that dj's are spinning these tracks. Often times, when I dj, I enjoy spinning longer tracks: (gives me time to peruse through my library and pick out an appropriate song)
As for the muffled male voice, it's actually the original vocals, drastically repitched. To me this represents ( The Greek God Apollo reaffirming that he's the "only one" in the Phoenix's eyes.) I guess with time, you discover your style and slowly after years of messing with stuff, my sound is coming to life. I'm not a tech head, or a show off kinda artist ( The look what I can do with a midi controller type) etc. I simply wish to keep tracks interesting. This might be a consequence of being an acoustic bass player. We tend to focus on repetition while emphasizing the form/structure of a song.

As for the track. Play 2 now...
I dunno if this could be considered House, in a classic sense (beyond the four-on-the-floor beat). The melody reminded me more of old skool synth-pop. And the way it started made me think that it was either gonna be a Trance or Euro-dance track. Otherwise, this is a pretty cool concept. Yet, I'm thinkin if ya go back n rework this ya might wanna mess with the placement of some of the loops coz ther were parts that sounded like they were outta place (like the way some of the bass sequences interacted with the leads, for example). And the speed up at the end, though cool, sounded a bit awkward too. Thanks for sharing. Later on!

I like the friendly dark feel to this. Kinda like it was built for dimly lit places. And the vocal sample ya used in this reminded me almost instantly of groups like Snap. Yet the groove of the track is different from what they did. I'd say that this is upbeat or progressive House. Decent length too. Thanks for sharin. Later on!

I'll admit that I pretty much like everything about this track except for the sudden end. Especially with how it sounded like it was gonna keep going. Like have a momentary sudden stop to mark the outro and then bring it back in, partially lessened (maybe without one of the channels, like the bass or something) and then it'd begin to diminish.
This has got alotta energy (like that one part with the voc-sam or chorus ahhs synth paired with the build). Not bad on the length either, but I could see this one being just a tad longer. Thanks for sharing. Later on!

As for the genre, I'm thinkin it's too slow to be classified as Breakbeat (which is usually between 150-190 BPM). I also don't think the drums ya used could be classified as that either. So I'm definitely gonna say that this is closer to Electro, but it also slides into being Cinematic during the lull parts without any drums.
And am I right in guessing that this song isn't finished yet (given it's time)? Hmm, I'd suggest throwin some bass in there to make the track a bit fuller. Other than that cool start you got here. Later on!

I think the slow build into this track really works. Dunno if I'd classify this as traditional 'breakbeat' though. Perhaps Tech-Glitch (shrugs). And as for the lyrics, I dug the effects that ya had on 'em, but think they're kinda iffy. Don't get me wrong, I think they work perfectly with the way they were mixed into the track. It's just that I dunno if I fancy them. Somethin just doesn't agree with me there. Maybe if you allowed 'em to stand nearly isolated on their own (with maybe just a little bit of synth stuff to accompany 'em). Okies mate, I'm headin outta here. Later on!

And as Esh was sayin, I could totally see this bein like a theme song for some sci-fi show or somethin.

is it a fair guess to say that ya recorded the one key sequence live? Coz a little after the 1 min mark some of the notes sound a bit off. Just figured that I'd throw that out there. Don't really know a whole lot about 'Minimal Techno' and didn't know whether you did those intentionally or not. Though I must say that this does strike me as being very minimal. Kinda like somethin that'd be played in some future alien lounge or something. Interesting stuff mate. Later on!

I just let it play the first go around. Now at the beginning again, I like the way ya had it right before the hat ride. Kinda reminds me of some martial arts flick (like the beach scene in Mortal Kombat).
And though I like the lower tonal quality of this I'm thinkin it could use just a little something on the higher end of things. Like some fluffy pads or some subdued synth lead sequence. Other than that I'd say that this is pretty solid. Later on!

In a way I can see where this track ties into the description, because I easily am able to imagine someone's heart and mind racing as they lay there with their eyes closed unable to fall asleep. Nice Matrix-like intro to this mate. And uber-cool Spanish Guitar ya got too! And the strings on here sound kinda similar to the ones they got on Logic.
