Alright, I kinda see why the other was as long as it was given the length of this one. Though I'm not really picking up any major difference between the two, asides from maybe extra bits of percussion used on here and is that mid-tone synth new too (though admittedly I have been up for a while now). And I hate to carbon copy stuff I've said on reviews, but I also feel like this could use a bit more on the high end of things. Hmm, maybe some horns or strings I'm thinkin (prolly better with horns since this is dub).Give it a sort of latin "Lowrider" flair, ya know? What would that be Neo-mariachi funk? I dunno, but it's where my mind is at the mo'. I'm also thinking something paddy would be cool, but feel that a voice synth would be better suited (like choir or angel for example). At any rate, cool stuff mate. Later on!

I'll admit that I haven't heard the original mix yet (will do that after this one). Kind of odd for me (doing the remix first and then the original). Eh, sometimes it's cool to work in reverse order IMO.
Though this is short I really dig the Steel drums on this. And the growly nature of the bass (adds a nice bit of flavor to this). Could stand to have a bit more on the high end of things I'm thinkin. Maybe you could add some if ya ever go to remix this further. Keep bangin 'em out mate. Later on!

WOW, when I make loops I don't really ever think beyond the short term (though there is some rough idea). And I think you did a really good job capturing that vague blueprint that was in my head when I made those bass loops. Kinda like, dark atmospheric tribal abstract, ya know? Kinda dig how ya warp this with the smooth alien synth pad-lead stuff. As if to ask, what would a rusty swingset sound like in space?
And I agree with some of the comments (skimmed over em) this could be used in a few ways. I think this would make for an excellent score for the intro to something like an anime or sci-fi horror film. A good name for the movie, hmm- Screams of the Deep? With bold white text over a dark screen that would dissolve off in a liquidy fashion. Too bad I can't D/L this (sad face). Oh well, I can still favorite it. Thanks for sharing mate. Later on!

Umm, dunno. The bass kinda throws me off with the whole 'dark ambient' vibe, but I do agree that it has ambient elements in it. As well as, ethnic I'm thinkin. Maybe 'dark minimal' would be a better classification? This kinda makes me feel like it's an evolution of old tribal (not the breaks offshoot, but the natives dancing around a fire one). I think it'd be really cool if you were able to score some chanting to throw onto this (kinda like the stuff Enigma uses). Maybe even adding in some more ethnic instruments too. Sweet mix mate. Nice to see you breakin out into other genres mate. Kind of a refreshing change from the main, ya know? Though I can still sorta hear HH influence in the drums. I'm thinkin this could be a bit longer, unless you were meaning for this to be a mix-tape type of track, then nevamind. Has Estae had a chance to hear this yet? I'm thinkin that he'd really appreciate what ya did here. I think my 2 fav parts of this on the music side were the strings at the beginning and all the scratchy stuff at the end. Nice organ usage here. Gives this a pseudo-churchy feel, but that completely changes once the next synth sequence kicks in. Though I'm thinkin that if ya copied that channel and added some effects to it, along with some pitch changes they would sound so much cooler. I think my favorite part of the song was the choral bits of synth ya had on here. Kinda reminds me of the Corrs mixed with some other synth pop stuff. Maybe if ya remixed this you could use 'em more (and possibly even have a part where they're isolated, acting as a bridge or something). Cool mix mate. Later on!

The drums on this kinda remind me of what I used on my track, NESness (but yours are a bit more organized). Wasn't trying to shamelessly self-promote, just what I was thinkin is all.
Anyways, I really dig the synth treatment on here, but I dunno if I'd call this a Rock track (well, maybe, if ya added some Guitars to it). Kinda sounds more like experimental house to me. Maybe it's the drums that make me think that.
Speaking of which, I'm thinkin they could use a bit of variety added to 'em. Like isolating certain hits (like drop the kick on some of 'em, or focus only on the snare hit, maybe also adding in some claps and/or swapping out the snare fill at the end for claps). As for maybe adding Guitars, I'm thinkin you could somewhat mirror what's done with the bass. Have 'em go completely mirrored and then drop out every other four notes (adding in some key changes too, to give it some flavor). Cool stuff though. Later on!

As for the track, I'm thinkin that ya need to work on tightening up the ending just a tad and maybe work on smoothing out the drums to fit in better with the overall mix (some of the snare fills were a bit too pronounced I'm thinkin). Other than that, this is a pretty relaxing track. I could see you taking this a few different ways if ya ever went to remix it. Later on!

Heh, that's cool. Sometimes really great things can come from just messin around. In fact, that's how alotta my stuff takes form. Anyways, as for this track, I think it'd be great if this was like a lil interlude mix between tracks on a breakbeat or drum&bass album. Maybe spritzing in some triphop here and there too. Because this definitely lends itself to those kinds of music. Interesting mix mate. Later on!

Do you remember that movie The Dark Crystal? The flute on this kinda reminds me of some of the scenes where the main character would be playing his. As for what dude was sayin, yeah, they kinda blend in with the beats slowly, but they do work. Kinda sounds like a slow stepped out ceremony or somethin. Nicely done mate. Later on!

Interesting sample mate. And I agree that it does remind me somewhat of the Macross series. Maybe that's the route you could take on this. Do a search on Youtube for 'anime dance' (or techno or whatever) and look for videos specifically made along side anime stuff and try taking that musical approach with this. Keep bangin 'em out mate. Yeah, this was pretty nice, but I gotta say that I'm thinkin the vocal side of this needed some extra beefiness to it (thinkin like more samples and such). Beyond that I really dug the production quality with the rest of it. Kinda like a dish prepared at a nice restaurant (with the right portions, seasonings, and such). Really cool stuff mate. The odd little SFX synth on here sorta reminds me of the Empire Strikes Back (the enemy scout droid at the beginning on Hoth, I'm thinkin). And I really loved how psychadelic those strings were on here. Yeah, I would have to say that this is on par with the great stuff I've heard in this genre (Evol Intent, Dieselboy, etc). Though, it's sad to admit, but I seriously need to bone up on my collection of stuff there. Though I'm thinkin that this track needs more cowbell?... Haha, naw, but seriously, have ya thought about maybe adding some subdued vocal stuff to this (like a muffled guy re-enacting some scene from an epic mythologic battle or somethin)? Haha, the synth on this reminds me of what a cash register at a grocery store went on a homicidal price checking spree, attacking all the baggers, I mean, cart guys at random might sound like (especially handy against those people who go through the self-check out lane that don't know how to use 'em, grrr). Hey wait, that might make for a killer cartoon on Adult Swim (crammed between Robot Chicken and the Squidbillies) and the crazy cash register could have a bi-polar price guy with an identity crisis (is it an Argentinian cargo pilot or is it a Norwegian figure skater/supermodel)?... Or maybe not (shrugs).
As for the track, I loved the lower toned stuff on here (especially the stuff that kinda sounded like guitars). And the drums were nicely done too. Though I'm thinkin that this could use a couple of stripped down breaks here and there. Cool mix mate. Later on!

Hmm, I'm thinkin that this track is soundin alright, but do agree that it needs something. Perhaps, what it needs is some effects and such placed over the entire song. Like throw on some filters and have 'em come in and out with their strength. Maybe add some slight reverb to the entire thing to give it a sense of depth. And adding some fades and accent changes would be keen too. Other than that this has a pretty nice groove to it. Just needs a lil extra juice and you'll be good to go. Keep bangin 'em out mate. Actually, I'm kinda reminded of some daytime court shows when I hear this (like the People's Court on acid). Though it does have a sorta retro 70s vibe with the guitar stuff that makes me think of the San Francisco level of the PS1 game Driver (if you ever played it). Dunno if I'd call this Jazz though, maybe Fusion (because of the mix of different sounds). Interesting stuff mate. Later on!

is it supposed to end suddenly like that or is it currently unfinished? I dig all the funky lil synth sounds you've got on this, but would love it if you went deeper and darker with the bass (possibly even adding some male vocals, like Trav has vocoded on one of his latest tracks, Forget the War, I think). Or just throw in some heavy kick on the drums periodically. Or, or, interlace the two hop-scotch style (kick, kick, kick, kick- bass, bass, bass, bass- empty slot- kick, bass, kick, bass- bass, bass, kick, bass- empty slot- repeat however). I'll agree that this track was rolled very superbly with clarity and everything mixing together well. Even at higher volumes this keeps its crispness (though on my system the highs clip just a little, but that's probably just the speakers that I'm using). And though I can tell you put alot of thought and energy into this track I've got to gig you on one thing. There's not enough variety in this. And that can be easily fixed I'm thinkin, because this track lends itself very well to fueling the vocal side. So as a song by itself it's kind of ho-hum, but as an instrumental it's top notch. I would absolutely love to hear like 2 or 3 rappers goin to town on this. Why not put it out there for a collab and see what becomes of it (or connect up with some of your friends who wanna lay some stuff down)? Sorry if any of that seemed harsh. Wasn't my intent to be. Quick question mate, is there supposed to be an additional 25 seconds after the end of this song? Anyways, nice juicy swells in this and it kinda reminds me of Electro-symph mixed with a touch of French House. Kinda like if Gigi D'Agostino, Daft Punk, and Kraftwerk collab'd on something. And for some odd reason I wanna suggest throwing some Beethoven stuff in here at certain parts (not really talking about the pronounced stuff, but the more subtle sides of his compositions, like the harps that're barely heard over the full string ensemble). Kinda like throwing some really love pads n humming basslines in to accentuate the more constant parts (have them fade out just enough to where the low vol pads n stuff can be heard). Nicely done mate. Later on!

What bitrate did you convert it at mate? I'm getting these buzzy pops mixed with fluxuating tone changes that come when it's too low. I kinda feel bad because I can't really give you the in-depth kind of feedback you were wanting for this.
Though from what I can hear I really like the melody of the guitar here and am thinkin that it'd be really sweet if they had some accompanying piano (and if ya really wanna go epic with it some rich, sweeping strings too). As for the vocals, I'm thinkin that you could do 'em yourself, but what I'd recommend is that you record them separately from the mix so that way you can duplicate 'em (for extra volume & depth) and you can experiment with adding effects on some extra copies of 'em. For style and sound quality think of Jakob Dylan's style when he was with the Wallflowers, like Sixth Avenue Heartache maybe). And I'm thinkin that drums are completely optional for this type of track, but if ya do add 'em think of the Smashing Pumpkins' style on Tonight Tonight. And I'm outtie 5000. Later on!

Naw, I'm still getting those sounds mate. Hmm, maybe it has to do with the frequency that you rendered this at (is it 44khz or...?). Coz these extra sounds shouldn't occur @ higher than 96 Kbps. And twastn't a problem for the other thing. Lates again!

Kinda dealin with the same issues as before (the last track I reviewed and the clipping stuff). Though I really dug the acid bass stuff ya had on here. Yet, unlike the previous one I'm not feelin the vocal samples ya had on here (dunno why though). And my only idea for this one would be to drop the hat ride and let it just be the bass drum and snares for a bit of the song. Keep bangin it out mate. Later on!

Sounds like ya might wanna watch yer levels when ya go to re-master this (because it sounds like it's clippin mostly at these ranges 170 and 13k, just fool around with bringin the volume levels down a little). Beyond that I really dug the melody on this and am thinkin some female vox would really do 'em justice. Am thinkin also that this needs a bit more bass to help balance out the overall mix. Ooh, if ya wanna give it an extra ethnic/worldly sound try to find some Didgeridoo loops to serve as a layer bridge between what you've got now and whatever you'd add on top of 'em. Great start mate.
