Hey Neal, thanks man!..I've spent a lot of time in the mountains so maybe I was subconsciously channelling those experiences, thanks again for dropping by mate!
cheers Dave
yeah man.. sounds quite alot like some of my older stuff..
I used to lay an equalizer lol... a feedback loop from the EQ to my tape deck.. put it thru my guitar processor and yeah.. killer.. wihs I had sections of this on my hd, yummy
yeah man, this is killer, not annoying, but melodic, and those bass boooms are killer. Love the 'creepy' synths and yeah, those vocals are good. sweet ! Visher
this is pretty cool, i make lotsa songs this way (2 parts back n forth) check out clank for proof, then howlin to see where else I can go when i put my mind to it... i's thinkin djembe would be nice here.. stay tuned... nv
oh lah... that fruity kick seems alittle off and out of the mix, perhaps try dialing up the resonance, pitch etc.. it's overpowering... or even a different kick sound or 2...
gonna need to kick the drums in somewhere, like add a snare, cymbals.. mmmm, it'll give it more power and movement
dig the symphonic sounds, nice melodies, i keep wanting to hear electric guitar kick in lol...
not a bad start, I can hear it opening up, esp when the synths all come in together, need that drum pattern big time.
Well, just posted a reply to inPSYcle about the kick in this piece, and must confess i made a big mistake.. I accidently uploaded my tune without extracting the beat i use to keep track the bpm when freeplaying my synth at the same time. This tune isnt even supposed to have a kick of anykind in it.. Im sorry for the mess, and i was hugely surpriced when i started to read the reviews.. Ill make sure to upload the tune without my beat-tracking-kick in the background or "foreground" in this case.. Anyways, thank you for the review.. ///Dec
Thanks, Neal. I'm always happy when the originator of a track responds to my playing around with it. I'd be pleased to record a track over the refined version. In this instance, I liked the quasi-Native American feel and the open quality of the drums. It gave plenty of room to roam.
ominous intro mate, diggit... especially cool how you hold us in anticipation with the contrast of the drum track and synth lines, then when the arp'd synth comes in, it's perfect and doesn't get boring before it's gone.
definitely remix worthy, love the 'western' sounding guitar, ethereal yet foreboding and reminiscent of coming home. nice work
love the common change ups with additional motifs flowing in & out, good touch. wow, some of those sub-bass, growlers kill me man, did i say definitely remix worthy ? lol, betchya people'd love to have the chance, just a thought.
I shall see what i can do, im currently in process of creating an additional site (not named yet, tho) where i publish .rsn files and specific own-created stuff as loops and well.. The problem here is that my loops are long as hell, because im still a big fan of variation in the loop, witch makes it a "non-loop" if you read through the LUA here on looperman for instance.. So there for there hsnt been any loops-upload on this site from me "yet".. but im working on it. Every tune i have on here is up for grabs tho in its own specific state, so if you can make something out of it as it is by adding, extracting, pitching or whatnot, feel free to do so..
And im also glad that you enjoyed it.. Thank you once again for the comment..
Well the whole intro kicks ass man, not crazy about the main synth line timbre/patch, but the track kicks mate, love the multi-percussion
it sounds like to bars aren;t quite long enough in certain parts... and certain synth parts are out of time as well.. not sure if it was intentional or not cuz I do weird shit myself lol...
the song has excellent structure and changes, keeps me interested, great use of overall sounds together.. nice !
Hi Neal, thank you so much for the comment really helpful. I myself noticed the off time synth parts at the end. But i have already uploaded the song. Will try to avoid next time. Thank you for listening.
dude, you got some skill shining thru and you're not afraid to vocalize either - top qualities ! some of that lead appeals to me too lol, keep it up bro !
