love the interplay between the drums & piano, those distorted electrics sound like a wall.. driving, neverending.
hard to make out the lyrics, but spoken word fits the epic feel of the tune.

you'd probably dig the whole album that Respiratory Failure came from man.. I used Fruity Loops to do all that: http://isolatedgroundreceptacle.com in Archeology and Nomadic I used the reverb and some delay to get the drums o sound like that.. ; )

I tend to have the same problem, but I do occasionally remember to switch off the distortion...although it's always tempting to switch it straight back on 'cos I'm always sure whatever I've come up with would sound better with some chunky chuggin' behind it! But I managed to resist this time!
Indeed, it does have a break-y/filler vibe (mainly due to length I'd say). Possibly something of a palate cleanser.
