Dec - Broken - Decnet

21st Aug 2012 13:52 - 14 years ago
Description : I was actually working on another tune when I realized that, out of all the extra materiall i created, "Broken" could be made.

Would love to have someone make some voice to this one.

Short tune, but effective when it comes to emotions and stuff.

I suppose its a rockballad of sorts?

No problem, let me know if when it's been taken out or I'll do the guitar and send it to you so you can lay it down

This is lovely, right up my street, the atmosphere plays out really nicely with the intelligent use of reverb.

If you decide you want the guitars to sound more natural as their i one note to me which sounds slightly out, give me a holla and ill happily lay em down for you :)

Thank you for the nice comment and glad you liked it..

I suppose you mean the note in the beginning that goes of with a "twang" and sounds like i broke a nail in the process.. i actually left it there to make it more realistic. lol..

Making music more alive is not to perfect it in my opinion, its those small flaws that makes the tune, but if you would like, i can see if i can remove the current guitarr, and you might have a go at it in any way you want.. would be fun.. And thanks yet again..///Dec

Wow this is another really good song. It's a very emotionally strong well constructed song. It has a gentle angst very ironic and powerful. It's really hard to pull off a song like this w/o vocal as we're so conditioned to a male vocal with this type groove. But..... you pull it off well. GREAT JOB. Has anyone tried to remix this with a Vocal or tried to write lyrics to this? It's a really strong peiceof music.

Thank you for the review. No one has tried to remix it, yet. Sinse i dont do either vocals or accapellas myself except for some rare occasions its been laid to rest as a project. IF someone would sing to this then it would definetly do my day, so 2 speak.

Thanks again Edz, and thank you for this great initiative with reviewing.. ///Dec

i imagine this would be great on a soundtrack. thoroughly enjoyable, great intro, and smooth as a babies bum from there till the end, loved it :)

Thanks man.. Them kind words means a lot.. I normally dont go into musical-areas or genres like hiphop or arabic, but tried it, and must say that i add those to favorite genres today.

´Tis prolly like food. If you dont try it, you wont find out what it tastes like..

Thanks again..///Dec

really well balanced pad work with the guitars... its an awesome song... so full.. youve done some awesome frequency work there, fitting it all in. would love to remix this...

think the build up to it is awesome.
only downside.... it could go harder, but then i think everything could go harder.
is this a sample based tune or did you do it all yourself / did you write the guitars ? if so did you filter it afterwards? or did you do it pre-recording ?

First off a big thanks for the review.. Second, everything you hear in my tunes are made by my own hands either electronicly or asked for permission of either game-developers or the origin of the sample (This complies to voices, accapellas, and stuff ripped from games or films)

The guitarrsound is actually completly reason, BUT i put a lot of hours into it, making it sound like the real deal, witch means yes, i "wrote" the guitarrs. lol.. When it comes to filtering, well.. lets just say that the actual guitarr is 6 different guitarrs, reacting differently depending on how "hard" i play it, witch makes it feel more alive. Cant remember the layout just now but, the first microsecond determines how "hard" i pull the string, and acts accordingly with reverbs or delays thereafter, the second microsecond determines the "tone" and depending on previous variables it can "bug out, and cut the tone completly" if the tone and first keystroke was played to hard, making it sound more like a real guitarr, and the third effect on each tone is determined the release of the stroke, meaning if i hardrelease the key it will sound like a wobble or a strum, and if i release it slowly it will go into an echo and/or arena reverb..

Lojg answer but i do hope it made sense, (but) due to the time creating the guitarr, i will not release it as an .rsn but feel free to remix it as it is...

Well allow me to be the first to comment. i actually like a lot of rock too. but i'm so submerge in my own kraft, i don't have the time to listen to every single genre under the sun. but yea man definitely digs that intro guitar. Thought it was a little soft for rock though. Has more cinematic elements to it, and maybe even a touch of ambient. nice. peace

Whoa.. I just recently came back from a hectic holiday and WHAM.. ##### of reviews. Damn i love Edz initiative to start this.

OT: Yes.. When it comes to specific genre i ##### at pinpointing it in the correct direction. I often create music out of thin air trying to embrace emotions of sorts. I completly agree to what you say that "trying to listen to everything" is nearly impossible, even tho one tries to do ones best so 2 speak. Im happy that you took the time "offgenre" and made a review..

Bunch of thanks..//Dec
