Ear candy....that is what this is, ear candy.

My ears are constantly being assaulted via all forms of media by all sorts of "noise" claiming to be music....

so it is wonderful to know that there are places where one can still find real music. That's why the Loop is the place to be.

This is fantastic. Your bass is always so spot on, and Slap, well he is a freaking genius. But the best part on this was that last chord you played. One word to describe this one - AWESOME!!

Well done Dave (and Slap). Two of the best out there. Thanks for the soothing start to my day. Stay well.

Hey Ern,

I forgot about this one....must be old age, haha. Wonderful treatment my friend. You have this marvelous way of taking songs to another level, and this one is no exception.

I hope all is well and thanks for remembering this one.

on Hug The Bear To Sleep by DextDee
Dext, great job on this. All I did was supply a couple of loops, you did all the rest. Wonderful job and it would be great to hear some of the really good rappers lay some vox over this.

I think my favorite part of this is the bad azz bass you have added.

As usual, you produce some of the best beats on this site, and this one is no exception. Brilliant work. Thanks for the shout out and for allowing me to participate.

on Half A Foot Out The Door by Diabolos
Have to agree with simmerdown, sing this like you would sing it in your car. Also, Reaper would give you a much better recording platform, and it is free to use basically, unless you sell your music, then there is a fee. So, upgrade and get back in the recording studio. You have tons of potential, it will be fun to see you realize it. Best of luck.

And welcome to the Loop.

:) I appreciate it! I download that reaper program and it says it's a 30 day trial thingie. Maybe there's a 100% free download out there. I'll look... it's a little more complicated I noticed then audacity... but if I fiddle around with it and read faq's ... I'm sure it'll be well worth it. Thanks again! I'm going to give your stuff some listens now :)

Outstanding job. I think you may have created a new genre...Celtic hip hop, pretty freaking awesome. As djgraehulc said, great drum work on this one.

Stellar work my friend, really nicely done.

on Hello - Martin Solveig (TraXnCtrl Remix) by TraXnCtrl
So, I think we need to lobby Looperman on your behalf and see if we can't get you another 50 slots for your tunes :) Man, this is another great remix/production. Absolutely flawless.

A trip over to your neighborhood is always enjoyable. Great song and it got the old motor running this afternoon. Outstanding as usual.

Man, this is really nice. There are some people on here who could probably really do something special with vocals for you....maybe Matt Beer (https://www.looperman.com/users/detail/180892) or Derek Vickers (https://www.looperman.com/users/detail/193366). There are others, but both of these guys can take songs to the next level.

Great start, hopefully you can find the vocalist.

on The Dream ft Mhyst ruff mix New Years 2011 by victormusic01x
Now this is nice. I love the use of the dissonant bass line, it gives the overall piece a different emotion. The uptempo beat also gives the piece almost a tribal feel.

I have to say this is one of the most unique uses of Mhyst's pella, and probably one of the best I've heard as well.

By the way, the production is outstanding. You have a lot going on, yet everything is crystal clear in the mix....not easy to do, especially with all of the percussive elements. Well done V, really well done!

Man, this is nice. I'm sitting here with my first cup of coffee of the day, and listening to this great chilled beat....

Outstanding mix. Love when things drop around the 1:00 mark. Great use of dynamics to change things up. Perfectly done.

This is really, really good. Goes to show a great producer can use anything to make a great beat. Had to add this to favorites my friend. That was 3:15 of pure joy :)

The true test of a real artist is whether I would shell out $100+ to listen to you in concert....

I would happily do that.

It's too bad you can't do this full time, because the world could use a little bit more "harmony" like yours.

Bravo.

Added to favorites.

on Ride It by Keyah
Wow, when the beat dropped right after the intro, well, that was a goosebump moment :) I loved the way you took the loop and made it your own. Wonderful mix with everything balanced really well. All this one needs is a bit of vocal work and you just might have yourself a hit record. Great synth work by the way.

Outstanding effort here. Absolutely top notch work.

Hey my friend, great groove here. This one is definitely ready for some vox on it. It almost has a cinematic feel to it....like it would be playing over a battle scene in a movie.

Anyway, great mix, great production, great percussion. Outstanding effort. Well done.

on Country by Minor
Nice job Minor! I'm amazed you were able to construct a great beat like this out of just that guitar loop. Love the percussion you have put together. I think vocals would really add to this as well. I see in 6 listens, you had 2 downloads already, so maybe others are moved to put some vox on it :)

Anyway, you should be proud man. This is really good. Well done.

Man, this is so good. I moved a year ago, from the Oregon Coast to the desert. I didn't know how much I missed the ocean until today. Absolutely beautiful. I do hope you finish this one.

Thanks for that.

on Searching by BrokenScythe
First let me say, I don't know squat about rap, so as far as the vox goes, I think you did yourself proud. As to the music, well, great piano work (and I'm a hack on the keys, so I'm somewhat qualified to give an opinion). The use of minor progressions is always a great idea when you want to impact your listener. So, musically I give this one a 10.

My uneducated opinion - this is great work. You can probably tweak the production a bit, but overall, this is really nice work. You definitely should be proud of it.

Well done.

haha thanks Bear! Its actually not too great IMO but I did try. And you can expect to try again L=
I love the piano I managed to compose. It just seemed to flow out...it always goes that way.
I honestly didnt plan on this being a Minor sounding track. I guess it just came out that way haha. Most of my stuff does. I guess its just my draw?
A 10, wow. Thats actually a huge compliment man. Thats hard to believe, but all in all that transcribes to a "really good job bro" to me, which is just awesome. Thank you for that.
I seriously appreciate you coming by and giving my little piece a listen. Im going over to discover what ShortBusMusic is all about right now L=

on Dancing with the Carnival Rebellion feat Nuada by n0mad23
I could not hit the favorite button fast enough on this one. Great vox by Nuada...really compliments the rest of the track. This one has a traditional feel, but I think it needs to. I have Celtic roots as well, and this one feels almost tribal to me, and stirs something deep in my soul...

The best thing one can ask of music is for it to inspire emotion, and this one does that as good as any song I've heard in a long, long while.

My hat is off to all involved, but especially you, Sean. This one is a masterpiece. When you are satisfied with the final product, I would love a copy :)

The pipes are one of the most emotionally charged instruments I've ever encountered. I'm sure my family is really glad I've never picked them up, as they're even nastier to learn than the fiddle! At least for those surrounding the learner. It's getting closer all the time to completion, and you're on the top of the list for a copy. Thanks much Bear!

on What We Got Re-make by Alen9R
OUTSTANDING!!! This is fantastic Alen. The bass is superb, it has the paintings on the wall shaking back and forth, haha. The windows are bumping too, hahaha. What a great way to wake the neighbors :)

The production is just as good as the musicianship, great balance and feel. The guitar you added is the icing on this musical cake. This is definitely a 10 out of 10 for me. Now stand back and wait for the rappers to come knocking at your door for a chance to flow on this one.

Well done, Alen. Really well done.

Now you have gone and done it....if there was a way to rank my favorites, this one would be in the top 3. I have always loved jazz, actually played trombone for years in a jazz group. This brings back so many great memories.

Man, you are a genius. And I think you need to dabble a bit more in this genre. There's not enough jazz on the loop. WONDERFUL!!!

One of the best tunes I've heard in a long, long time.

on Long Way Home by LarzCreative
Now this is really special. As Dan said, this one is an enjoyable ride. You really did a masterful job incorporating all of the different elements from different musicians, and that is the sign of a true pro. It's not easy to take all of these "parts" and put them together successfully, but you have managed to do that. I have to agree that this is probably some of your best work yet.

Bravo young maestro, bravo.

Great tone on the guitar....outstanding rhythm work. If you know the bpm of this, you might post it in the track description (that would help some of the people who might want to put drums or bass on this). Anyway, it is a great start to a great metal track.

By the way, I saw you are an Air Force vet, and I just wanted to thank you for your service to this country. Much appreciated and much respect.
