on wraith - faith in vengeance (demo) by hardwareexorcist
Hi there, looperman's back now & really enjoying the new site, quite a lot of interesting sounds in this, the fact that the voices have an echo gives it a more spooky feeling, enjoyed listening, good track, reminds me somehow of " Lord of the Rings ";

on Outlandish - Ft KorruptDialect by Mattack5k
This is like a mix of metal & rap, sounds strange but it's original; personally I found it a bit short but your synths on this track are really good I inparticular liked the synth at the end of the first verse but I think the rest of them sound more metal than rap, but it's really good, nice drums as well as vocals, I've heard another track by KorruptDialect, He's a really good rapper; enjoyed listening;

thanks man. ya its not really rap I just listed like that cause there is rapping in it. I was going for more like dubstep sound but I like heavy metal and industrial so I guess my stuff comes out like that sometimes. The synth you were reffering to is actually a preset of the Alchemy VST called Einstien Razor Bass with an apregiator on it at 50% gate

on Rap and Roll by MackMilli25
Fairly original beat I found, Maybe it's my immagination, but I thought some bits sounded a bit fuzzy if you see what I mean,
But I really liked the way the guitar fitted in with the beeping type of synth at the start, I made a hip-hop track with the same kind of synth but I didn't add the guitar in; I should've done, good track, but it's a bit short...

on Games by 06BentonMcKenzie06
I certainly wouldn't have thought to put the piano with the synth, I found that a very original idea , complex melody form which sounds very logic though, the piano adds a jazz sort of feeling behind the more dance part making me think of a game of cards or something, maybe poker; really good track;
See you've put the voices at the end again for the ending, really like that sound.

JamesDavies,

Thank you for your review. Sometimes I just pick random instruments but I always start with the piano. Good 2 see you checked out some more tracks I uploaded. I will definitely check you out again.

on Yeah I know You Like That by ErikWaave
You rap really well, do you have any techniques for your rap, really nice beat and great synth which I found a bit unusual for the song but strangely it went well with the rest,

on As is by xpekt
I'm working on a rock instrumental at the moment & I found this very inspiring, great rock track, and it's good having the piano with the guitar but I wished the track was longer; If you make a second verse I'd suggest adding a slight soft drum track with the piano [ just my idea though ];

xpekt replied 4th Nov 2011 - 14 years ago
Thanks for the nice words James!!! Hope you finish that rock instrumental strong, can't wait to hear it. My tracks are not meant to fully completed what I do is more like ruff mixes not even close to finished but that's a good idea nonetheless :)

on New RnB Ne-yo style beat by iyad666
Ne-yo should be proud of you, I agree; great beat which reminds me of Ne-yo songs I've heard, I like the piano introducing the bass drum, and it's got a really good synth which varies a bit which is nice, good synth chosen for the ending but the ending could've been better...

on Hydro by 06BentonMcKenzie06
Earlier today I reviewed someones rap track with your instrumental, it was very good but this is awesome; very good rap track, and the name of this track describes it well, great synth melody with a electronic feel to it but also made for rap,
and your beats are great, strange ending though with the childrens voices, not sure why that was there...

JamesDavies,

Thank you for listening and leaving feedback. I use the children's voices as a signature. It makes me feel good hearing the ideas people have to offer. Each work I try to do things different but keep it relative of the key. Mad Props to you.

Nice prod reminds me of 2 famous rappers: 2pac & Dr. Dre; at least the rap does, there's quite a few nice scratches as well;;;

thanx for the welcome back, looperman's new design is great,
Really nice track with a great beat, your voice kind of reminded me of the singer Jerimih if you know who I mean, really nice flow and liked the way that you switched from the more rapping sort of voice to the more singing like one in the second verse, really great instrumental with it, thanx to

on Running by laser
This would really make a film, probably an action, police film,
Really makes me think of someone running away, the immediate scene that came in my head was happenning on a beach because at the start you can hear what sounds like waves also at the end I heard a sort of whistling which sounded a bit like coastal breeze, the piano also seems to give it a sad sort of feeling, and the pads make it feel like there's a kind of mystery behind it, a real favourite track this and if you ever make a film or a video with this pleas send me a copy...

Music sounds Lil Wayne style, it's a really dark track with some good beats; sort of spooky but there's some good rappers on it...

Brilliant voice, the song strangely reminds me of a cowboy film or something like that in mexico... anyway nice music as well, I really liked the strings behind...

Yeah you got it... like a ballad. I mastered the mix as a ballad b/c I thought it fit the theme of the song. I love to add a bit of Quentin T. movie soundtrack into some of my songs.

on ForThaLadiess by LooneyTunezz
Good piano that's quite emotional, if I had a suggestion to make, change the beat a little becauz' at some bits it seems maybe a bit too violent, I mean sometimes it sounds a bit like a rap beat when the tracks supposed to be R n' B. But don't worry, it's got great potential, and continue making it because at the moment the ending's a bit too sudden...

Reminds me of Lil Wayne, One of my fav rappers; great song an' beat... I find the whistling at the chorus an interesting original idea, Strangely goes well with the juicy synth...

on Snake by DazeMachine
Great groove, What's your secret behind the beat cos I tried to make a track like this and my beat was a total miss? I like the places where you glue lots of beats together, It's kind of funky.
DazeMachine
DazeMachine replied Unknown
I'm currently using FL 9. So other than Grossbeat, and the granulizer... most of my layering is done by accident. No joke. I layer 4 or 5 beats per song, sometimes more, like on this one I think is 7. I keep adding or taking away until I love it, then I worry about breaks, and cuts.
