Hey - yeah pretty good but I was only 30 seconds in and I thought you could add some sub bass to fill it out, it's very clean too, sometimes some tape effects, saturation, or even glitching can add interest - worth a bit more experimentation for sure.
Wow - great beat and beautifully melodic instrumentation (with some really nice variation) over some wonderful raps. All of that with top class, warm but crystal clear, sound production
Nice beats, great rap, and some interesting glitching on the background arpeggios that adds some real interest. Good job on the sound production too : )
Sweat beat with some really nice rather minimal melodic and additional rhythmic/ percussive elements, all the more powerful for the subtle and skilful ways they are utilised
: )
Hymn to aton "Thou hast filled every land with thy beauty. Thou art gracious, great, glistening, and high over every land; Thy rays encompass the lands to the limit of all that thou hast made ..."
I dont know Micky - I like it but that's probably too generous ; )
Of course you are right - in this old form the hymn is certainly rather ominous. But that's why I wrote my own little version - it's meant to be much friendlier and more modest:) Thanks as always for listening.
Powerful and soulful - even without my understanding of the language this conveys great depth of feeling, heartfelt emotion.
More power to you (and to your mum)
Long live love
: )
Starts sounding very dreamy before a thunderous burst of overdriven beats over some very melodic arpeggios on piano, also some nice dreamy backing vocals and other percussion in the mix - the keys and the beat really dominate the overall track - tricky to get the balance right with the other elements but sounds pretty good.
Hey there - I like the energy and the composition - the very live sound is kinda cool but I do wonder what a more 'studio' sound might do - sound wise there is a lot of space in there that might be utilised. For some reason the guitar had me thinking of talking heads - circa - more songs about building and food. Overall I think it is a great track - for sure keep going with it : )
Hey man! Yeah you're right, there's clearly a lot of muddledness. I'm not happy at all with the quality of the drum recording (will do that again if I have a better kick mic) and the vocals need some cleaning up - some filtering, but also there's too many layers there now.
I'm curious and interested what you mean with "lot of space that might be utilised", that sounds really interesting - feel free to drop me a DM if you care to elucidate because clearly you know what you're talking about and I don't :)
BTW I created this song this week as an entry for a production/engineering course that should happen soon (fingers crossed). I think the teacher will have his hands full with me :D
So classy, beautiful jazzy, soulful, groove and yes every little sound perfectly placed in the mix and yet every instrument on its own worth paying attention to and shimmering away.
Hey Chris - nice chill atmospheric start with those gently congas and lilting melodic backing vox and nice slide into the more up tempo main body with some nice almost jazzy synth work woven in with those beautiful melodic elements lifting us higher before we float back down again. Nice little trip here : )
Kia ora Ian, thanks a lot. Played that synth in one hit, didn't really edit it at all. Been in an out of the hills a lot lately so need to catch up with whats been happening. churr.
Hey Emmani - nice work buddy - very gentle and atmospheric with a lovely balance of Foley in the beats and adding to the warm sonic texture, and the melodic elements with the keys, pads and synths are very sweet (but without cloying). The closest I think Ive come to this gentleness is with an ambient track I called 'Bee' (still up if you are curious).
Beautiful work Jynxz - very cinematic feel to these ears - can really imagine that drive through the city late at night. A real lovely space in the mix, and of course brilliant musicianship too : )
It's kinda funny how the feeling dawned on me after I wrote the track and listened to it and it brought back memories of
being in that downtown atmosphere listening to music that meant everything to me at the time. Plus being with Mark and the other band members we were like family (still are). Living life to it's fullest.
Thanks for giving our track a listen, comments and for the Fave. It's very encouraging.
Hey Buddy - nice groove here - I like that kind of minimalist industrial start and how it gets a little more funky as it goes along and love way you have 'orchestrated' (not literally) the transitions. Rich and exotic textures and instrumentation a head busting beat. Hope you have made a full recovery - I had a lingering cough for a month post covid ... ughh ... though good to make music when you dont feel like doing anything else hey : )
Thanks, Mate, starting to recover, my sense of taste and smell came back yesterday. Still feel awful though. 2weeks and the cough continues so I have that to look forwards to.
Another great track - so many intricate textures and beautiful melodic parts to this, the transitions are sublime, great flow, and lovely sound production too
Thank you for giving my track a listen
