All of your tracks sound like technical malfunctions and gameboy games. That's not a bad thing though, good work. peace

Funny you mention Mstokes...rather ironic actually. I too have been wondering where he's been, I was supposed do a collab with him. He wanted me to remix some stems of his, never got around to it though. (I still need information regarding his stems anyways, like the bpm) So I left a comment on one of his old tracks, I'll see if he gives a response.

I have his email, so i might just contact him directly soon. But this is a very intricate piece of work here..and a commendable shout out to the many talented of looperman. Perhaps the best site for real artists, there is a no comparison sometimes i think. I've heard leaps and bounds of skill on here and it only inspires me to become better. This is a excellent production, I have no real critiques. Continue the musical journey. peace

First off, sup. Welcome to the loop, officially. This is a great entry and first upload, those vocals are pretty fantastic. Great work of mixing the loops up to form this track, no real complaints. Digs it. peace

Yea I like Danke's loops too, there pretty good. Anyways, great track here. Like the minimalistic approach to this one. The beat works really well, and the mix of the synths and vox fits nicely. Like the slight vox accent too. peace

@ Crucethus, Understandable, I was open to the critique and I'm sure SJ is here too. I respect that. But just in my listening, I thought it sounded great. Just wanted to clarify that, I wasn't trying to say your critique was useless or irrelevant or anything, I just had a difference in opinion. Like many do

*Sorry SJ, I'll cut it here. Don't wanna take up space on your track comment section.

Peace

Sick brass in this one, the bass is a little bit overpowered though. Some of the fills are lil inconsistent at times, but for the most part it does the job. Good shyt bro. peace

Ah man...I saw the description, i can only empathize. But i can relate in the subject of loss. Lost a few friends and family alike, just lost a cousin (in a sense) the other day from drug over dosage. Oh man...ehem..emotional, i wish you nothing but the best man. Times like this is when you need to be strong and persevere for the sake of your loved ones. RIP to your mother, and I hope the heartaches and pains of the soul will wash away peacefully and gracefully my friend. Superb production. peace

Played this before and idk why i didn't comment. I'll give you that 20th comment, but this is suspense infected right here. On the run from something VERY dangerous in the jungle is what i sense. You make this all yourself or from loops, samples? Regardless, skilled production Anubis. I gotta get back making some serious cinematic music, it is by far my favorite genre. Although I've dipped into many genres, cinematic is great for imagery. Wild. peace

thanks for the, 20th comment.

it's really cool that you have dipped in the imagination of this song.

usually in my buildings, I do a little of everything, use samples, VST's, occasionally instruments recorded live, and a small portion of loops.
I do not like to use many loops, usually when I use them, I mix in other elements just to give more life.
to fill voids.

I agree with you about this genre give many images, imaginations, the facility is the largest traveling music.

best wishes!!!

Sup man, so digging the vibe. But it kind of drowns out from the overpowered bass, slap a compressor on that puppy and a limiter/maximizer to bring the dynamics back up and it should sound better. EQ it a bit if you need to, I've had the same problem with bass a while ago. I used to suck at mixing that ish in there lol But yea, it drowns out the other sounds i wanna hear that you added. I hear them, but not enough. If one of the sounds is like a pad or something, duplicate it. Then pan the original all the way to the left/right and then pan the duplicate all they way in the opposite direction. That helps to widen the sound out, just a quick method. Good work so far though man. peace

DAPMACK replied 25th Jun 2014 - 12 years ago
Thanks for the advice, but truthly the beat is suppose to sound like that, everything is ducking the bass, and the bass is at -20db & parallel compressed. I just love dramatic bass beats

Wow nine minutes huh? I only have one track that long, which is also a breakbeat, dnb type of track. I guess you have to make it that long sometimes to compensate for the faster bpm. Or you just want it that long, which is fine. More music is always a good thing in skilled execution. I'm five minutes in right now, very smooth transitions. Natural progressions make it sound like a couple different songs almost. Curious, do you listen to a bit of Goldie at all? He probably has some of the longest tracks I've ever heard, his longest being literally an HOUR LONG. Entitled "Mother" and his Inner City Life track is pretty classic topping 20 something plus minutes i think. Perfect for DJ's though huh, that's alot of material to work with that they can chop up in a club or event. And the 3 min mark kind of reminds of Elite Force from this soundtrack

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYqIfj12CiU

The synth sounds pretty similar, I'm into alot of soundtracks. There are alot of underrated gems in many games, movie and any soundtrack really. Alot of people miss them i think though due to more mainstream artists and commercial releases. Anyways, intelligent production FR. Be seeing ya around. peace

Yeah, i've run out of slots so now i just try and cram as much tunage as possible into the allocated space. I figure we have about ten minutes before you have to start lowering the quality so i might as well fill it up. Besides it's fun blending tracks together.
I do like Goldie but haven't listened to him for a while but i also made a track an hour long for fun once but it probably wasn't as good as his.
I love that game as well and it's soundtrack so i probably do get influenced by stuff like that.
Anyway, cheers for dropping in and leaving your thoughts. It's much appreciated.

This is pretty sweet man. I agree with peril, i can also hear a bit of fuzziness. It could be possible white noise, which isn't that hard to clean up. But otherwise, it's still a pretty solid mix and the vocals are spot on. Skilled production. peace
