Wow nine minutes huh? I only have one track that long, which is also a breakbeat, dnb type of track. I guess you have to make it that long sometimes to compensate for the faster bpm. Or you just want it that long, which is fine. More music is always a good thing in skilled execution. I'm five minutes in right now, very smooth transitions. Natural progressions make it sound like a couple different songs almost. Curious, do you listen to a bit of Goldie at all? He probably has some of the longest tracks I've ever heard, his longest being literally an HOUR LONG. Entitled "Mother" and his Inner City Life track is pretty classic topping 20 something plus minutes i think. Perfect for DJ's though huh, that's alot of material to work with that they can chop up in a club or event. And the 3 min mark kind of reminds of Elite Force from this soundtrack
The synth sounds pretty similar, I'm into alot of soundtracks. There are alot of underrated gems in many games, movie and any soundtrack really. Alot of people miss them i think though due to more mainstream artists and commercial releases. Anyways, intelligent production FR. Be seeing ya around. peace
Yeah, i've run out of slots so now i just try and cram as much tunage as possible into the allocated space. I figure we have about ten minutes before you have to start lowering the quality so i might as well fill it up. Besides it's fun blending tracks together.
I do like Goldie but haven't listened to him for a while but i also made a track an hour long for fun once but it probably wasn't as good as his.
I love that game as well and it's soundtrack so i probably do get influenced by stuff like that.
Anyway, cheers for dropping in and leaving your thoughts. It's much appreciated.

And well technically no having a "floaty" mix isn't a bad thing. I meant it in a mental way i guess, i was pretty baked listening to it yesterday lol But in all seriousness, "Seriously Joking" I do like this track alot. Excuse the pun yet again. ahaha peace man, see you around
Agree with the others, dope production. It's more dubstep like than drum and bass. But that doesn't matter, still excellent track here. Great variety and a pretty loud mix, keep it going. peace
Watery sounding, the mix almost floats. Nothing really that off or anything, I find it a little odd Crucethus wants to hear this more complex. I think it already sounds nicely arranged, the end skipped a bit though? No real complaints, great production. peace
This is pretty sweet man. I agree with peril, i can also hear a bit of fuzziness. It could be possible white noise, which isn't that hard to clean up. But otherwise, it's still a pretty solid mix and the vocals are spot on. Skilled production. peace
Okay what's going on here? It's moments like these that completely throw me off, how does this track not have more reviews and favs? *favs* And NICE Sony's Acid Pro holds a special a place with me in the world of music. It's basically the first official DAW i began truly producing. I would get back to making more tracks through Acid but working my dell laptop for that is a pain. lol Luckily i have a macbook with reason and logic pro 9 which i now use primarily. But real proper roll and sound choice with this, good work here man. peace
Sounds more electronic to me. But it doesn't really matter, I like the jumpy synth melody. The jittery synth/vox is pretty nice too. Minimalistic goodness. thumbs up. peace
I like the minimal approach to this one, nice pads. Still could use a bit of work and polish though. Listening through my headphones and the bass gets overpowering when the drums start. I'm guessing that's from the kick drum. Not bad arrangement though, the strings were also a good addition. Keep working! peace
Sick man, you've still kind of blown my mind about what your saying in the forums. You have a quality catalog, it's pretty amazing. Very nice work here. peace
Hey - I was only joking about having multiple accounts and personas. I'm just StaticNomad on Looperman. I like to have a laugh!
However, if you listen to my "quality catalog", you'll find there are a lot of different genres and sounds and stuff covered (sometimes in the same track). Often gets very confusing when I'm putting a track together.
I'd like to cover many, many more styles and sounds but I have loads of limitations in my playing and don't really technically or musically understand how to make any genre.
I just use sounds I like and styles of playing I can manage and comfortably play and then groove along to a good loop and build things up from there, piece by piece, sometimes over a number of years.
So, I sort of try to combine all my musical personas/preferences/abilities at the same time in some tracks. Lot of work to stop it sounding messy!
This was a slightly more straightforward track as it doesn't cross multiple genres and doesn't have any recorded instrument playing - just synth playing and programming.
If you'd like to hear the continuation/second half of this track, here it is:
Very good vocals from Courtney! Wow, fantastic seriously. I would liked more dnb rolls in it, sounds a bit more electronic/dubstep mixed with some ambient. Not even trying to be a genre nazi, but it's a very nice combination especially with those vocals. thumbs up, peace
Has a pulsating driving forward vibe with me. Which would be good when I'm riding my bike. *downloads* It does almost have a light/dark vibe going on at the same time though. Interesting, love the sounds too. Great work, peace
Knocking beat. The mixdown is a little off though, use a bit of a compression on some instruments. Some eq would help it out too, but i like how it's arranged. Just needs a bit more polish. Keep coming back on it. peace
Thanks for the help, im still new to this and sometimes can hear when things are off i just dont know what exact tweeks to do to it in order to fix it. Again thanks for the advice.
Something I like about the sound choice here. Sounds like there's a hidden message within the music itself. Besides the messages in the vocals, and I especially like this quote "education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire!" That was deep stuff right there. Spot on with the concept. peace
Thanks very much for your comments. You are spot on, the music is made in part from an acapella. I couldn't possibly comment on any other "hidden" message.
So i guess you must be saying this is one your first house tracks? Or first track ever? Even so, this is actually pretty good work for a "first practice track." It's little inconsistent and some of the arrangement shows it's your first time. However, I do like the vibe of this very much. It has potential, if you would expand on the guitar like melody it would sound even better. Just come back to it over time, that's what I do with some of my tracks now. Keep it up bro. peace
Yea its hard to add much on this as the ableton program i have only allows my 8 track which is pretty crappy. I know i'm a noob but thanks for the comments I will try to fine tune everything.
Dope. At first wasn't digging the sound choice but then it got better when you when all dubstep in the shiz. lol I gotta do some more dubstep productions, haven't done many lately. But this is a well arranged production. Great production! peace
Not much i can say that others have not already said. Pure piece right here man. Everything is very warm and inviting. If i ever learn to play the guitar, I'll send you a link to my first acoustic track. I however first need to learn piano to a mastery degree, the piano is my ABSOLUTE favorite instrument. Not even the guitar beats it in my opinion, no diss to guitar players though lol Flawless execution here brother, peace
Yea, you killed it bro. VERY NICE, and real talk with the lyrics. Can't take all that material stuff with you to the grave, even though this computer and machines we use to make music are sort of materials. lol Sick song. period. peace
Who did the vocals? The female at least, i assume your the male vocals. I like the concept and vibe to this song, has a lot of potential. It seems like it's missing, I dunno what it is though. It needs to be a tad more louder and full too, but the man that soft quiet vibe is really nice though. Keep it up bro. peace
TRIPPY. What is the deal today? I'm hearing alot of damn trippy tracks on here. You guys need to lay off the drugs. lol Great transition to the dubstep/glitch part, liked it. Great production here man. peace out
Sup Crucethus, first off i agree with the others. Has a circus vibe ( More so in the beginnning) but an seemingly transparent aggressive dreamy nature to it. (Idk if i can realistically combine those words, but meh i just did) It's transparent in the way it blends together nicely. Love that breakdown by the 3 min mark, interesting and creative mixture of sounds here. Progressively arranged track here, nice work! peace

They both share many of the same sounds though each also have their own particular sounds that aren't used in the other.
I guess Tribal Warfare is the better track but maybe not.
Thanks for checking in on my little electro tribal groove thing.
