Defintely has a classic funky feel. I like the transition. I'm a huge fan of using DnB in other genre's so this one is totally right up my alley. A tip of the hat to you sir.

on Came And Gone by BrokenScythe
Yo man I like this track. Really beautiful melody line. I like the synth work on the upbeats... Personally I might have the high hats match it instead of playing a straight 16, but otherwise this is a really chill groove as always. Hows BM2?!

on Cognitive Dissidence by CrashTheSystem
Y'know I ALWAYS check out a track when it says it's a "jazz" track, and very few of them actually sound like real jazz, with swing and a moving chord progression and so on... this one is an exception! Love the different sections and love the horns. Very nice classic jazzy feel. did you use live drums?
CrashTheSystem
CrashTheSystem replied Unknown
i did not use live drums i used just some typical loops but edited them a tad to match my needs. I appriciate you stoppin by man and im thoroughly glad you enjoyed it!

damn tight track. Really well done and definitely the kind of hip hop that deserves real exposure, and with age comes wisdom, by 40 you had better be droppin some serious rhymes or getting out of the game. Some of these "young cats" probably just need a good mentor such as yourself.

Wow Humps, way to turn my sloppy recorded nonsense something sweet! I'm impressed at how good you make me sound! I LOVE pjb's percussion... I might have to check out that loop. Very cool western theme. This is the kind of track I'd love to hear live. fav from me as well.

Thanks so much for finding the time to put the tracks together. They were great, did very little ouside of some chopping and fitting the parts. Perfect volume too, give yourself some credit!!

Glad you liked it, appreciate the help!

on Virtual Dirge by Squidwelder
Surprised this one hasn't gotten more reviews. Love the percussion, and the synth's you used. Great kinda "pulse" to it. I feel like the only thing that would make it better would be just a tad more percussion... maybe a really dirty high hat or even just a snare. But then again, as a percussion guy my opinion is kind of bias. Great piece overall!

Totally not a trance person, but I like to try new things and this time I said "hey why not". Pleasantly surprised with the whole thing. Great panning, love the bouncy warn synth action. Really sweet melody and fun! I'd love to offer better feedback, but as I said, I really don't know the genre. Thanks for expanding my palette!

Haha, thank you very much! In all honestly I'm not a huge trance person and this isn't a typical trance song. I've been trying to branch out into different genres myself. Glad you enjoyed the track!

Wow great work Becca! Love the way it changes up. But is it just my headphones or is the whole thing mixed really low? Great work though, it sounds like almost a whole different track when it changes up!

Not a bad track. But where's the bassline at? A fat bassline would fill this one out real nice...

on Gum by Gaffattack
Dude... this is awesome. I LOVE that vocal loop it's soooo sweet. I'm actually planning on putting together a kinda trip hop EP... or an LP if other artists are interested. This is sooo tight, and if this is what you like to produce we should do a collab sometime.
I'm excited to hear what you do for a bassline, but I say don't go too crazy with elements, give the piece a lot of space, and keep up that nice gentle flow it has. Solid track for sure

on With This by CarmenAlegria
Yea really smooth. I think even with the home recording stuff you could really make your vocals pop with a little tweak here and there. I love the spoken word/ rap you lay down for the bridge. I'd love to hear you on a more jazzy hip hop type track as well. I know everyone else has already asked about the collab thing, so I'll just say, that if I ever produce something with female vocals in mind, I'll swing it your way to see if your interested. Although my stuff tends to be a little less RnB.

Great track, clean up those vocals a bit and don't be afraid to make em a little louder! your voice is great!

on 420 (Cannaboid Recepta) by DJSpenno
This is a very impressive first attempt at "full on DnB Really love the wobble synth... Echoing everyone else but the sample work is great. Just make sure it's not copywritten or the track will probably get banned.

My only other suggestion is to give the bass drum a little more punch. It could use a little more low ends I feel like to really punch a hole in my head and thump along with the bass. Minor detail though, the composition is great.

on Magik by Nap
Yo sweet track, I agree the glitchyness really adds something to the track. The only thing I would change would be the "It's magic" sample... It's good, but I feel like it gets a little overused. I feel like it would be more powerful and allow the music to work better on it's own if it wasn't like, every other bar. I'd say maybe cutting some of those out would do a lot for the song.
Great track though!

on East Meets West by Alen9R
another sweet heavy DnB track. I'm totally a sucker for the eastern sounds and scales in western music, so this one easily caught my attention. I love the wet and noisy crash/hihat in there... really gives the track a driving edge.

on CrunkBar by keeweet
Cool track, great groove to it, it feels almost staggering and off... in a good way.
Some kind of break or B section would be nice, something to just change it up halfway or 2/3 of the way through just to keep things interesting, and then mixing back in the original elements.
But for a rough cut this is solid cool.

on Breath With Me by The Writers Poet ft Imaijen by TheWritersPoet41
It's nice to hear some spoken word instead of just straight rap here on this site. I feel like your vocals could be a little less reverby and even louder. Your words are really powerful and totally make the piece, so I just feel like they should be really center stage.

It's very very cool though, You use the rhythm of the music wonderfully, and Imaijen's singing just pulls it all together. Great piece!

Yea not a bad use of autotone (and that's a big compliment coming from a guy that tends to hate the sound of it)
I agree though this should be classified as R&B

on Life as a Video Game V (Chaos Emerald mix) by DJMudDuk
How could I resist such a tantalizing title? Super fun track, I love when people blend genre's and you've done so very successfully here. I agree that a little bump to the bass drum could fill this one out big time. But super fun and solid as is.
Curios to hear more! keep it up!

on Happy Dnb by Alen9R
Wow, man very fun. I just used one of your loops, so when this song came up I was like "huh I should check out this track"

Very cool man, super bouncy and totally not your typical DnB track at all. I think the dance elements fit in great. I think it would be a sweet break if it went totally Dance for a bit and just had that thumping 4 on the floor bass for a bit... then cut back to the DnB.

Very sweet as is though.

on Darling Where Did You Go (Anomoly Jonez) by Salook
WOAH. This is... so absolutely amazing. You're by far one of my favorite Dub artists. Here, or anywhere for that matter. This song just has the spacey, heavy feel down PAT. Someday when I'm back home, I'm gonna spark up a little of the sacrament and just zone out to this track. Work like this reminds me of how much room I have to grow personally, and it's exciting.

Thank you sir!
