Yo, this is really cool. Love the beat and the guitar bounce with the slightly muted sound. Flute and strings work well too. Fits like a glove with the vox.

on Herbie by Jynxz

I have this Herbie album, Headhunters isn't it? Crazy album it is! He also plays keys on one of my favorite miles Davis albums In a Silent Way. Your version is pretty different, much smoother but still got that funk. Very cool in fact.

Jynxz replied 26th Jun 2022 - 4 years ago

Yes... The album with the computerhead Keyboard player on it.
The Headhunters were the musical group behind Herbie Handcock.
They specialized in African and other exotic Percussion instruments. At the Herbie Handcock concert I attended they did about a 5 or 10 min solo of just Percussion instruments. It was amazing.
I'm glad you didn't find my rendition of the track offensive, after running that track through my my head for 50+yrs I've got at least 10 or 20 versions of it in there but, this is the one that came out.

I appreciate you giving the track a listen and for your encouragement with the Fave.

Super! The whole package just sounds mighty fine. I love your creativity, always so unique. I've read some Kurt back in the day, will have to check him again. I posted that track I sent you by the way, not featured, having trouble with the mix:(

on Four Seasons in One Day by Diskonnect

I like this! Lovely synths and I liked the build on the drums. Intro and outro fantastic. And the north east ain't the only place to experience four seasons in one day...pretty sure a NZ band wrote a song like that:)

Diskonnect replied 24th Jun 2022 - 4 years ago

Haha well I guess NZ is practically in the polar opposite location to the north east of scotland so I can see that being the same. I'd love to visit one day! Thanks for the listen dude, I appreciate it. Will check your tracks out in a bit!

Very very cool all round. Been enjoying your guys stuff all the way but possibly I missed this one. Musicianship top notch all the way, great composition and the more I hear Micky's voice the more I love it.

on Modnex - Last Breath WIP by Modnex

I think u should finish it, one, because it's a really good song and I liked your vocals. And two, it would be a nice gesture to your little cousin. All the best man.

Modnex replied 16th Jun 2022 - 4 years ago

Thanks, Zoot! I appreciate the words of encouragement. I need to finish this one, if not for him then for him.

on This Game by crucethus

I really like what you threw into the pot on the one. I have a recording taken off a friend's remote control dalek that would go great with the first part of this! Stuff like, "now the daleks are rulers of the earth", and, "bring the humans to me" etc....

crucethus replied 14th Jun 2022 - 4 years ago

Pot Au Feu du Musique ehh! Daleks, not so much. As much as I appreciate the Dr. Whoverse, let's just say it's a Metal guy meets a Brazillian girl and they are playing games with each other, no Daleks, no Death, just a mismatched couple of kids connecting.

Man I love your guys stuff. This is just too good it's humbling. The music your making, it always reminds me of something but I can never put my finger on it, not that helpful really... Anyway this just has this lightness of touch that has me floating away.

on Warm water harbor by AE03hua

Mellow vibes, warm sounds. Melodic with a nice ambient build to the trap section.

AE03hua replied 28th May 2022 - 4 years ago

Thx!
TBH I'm not sure if this is a trap or not since Chinese EDM producers do not prefer trap as much as those from other countries.I'm considering about changing the tag to ambient or sth
Apologize for my terrible english btw XD
