Lovely chill lo fi vibes on this one. There's something inherently soothing about a sine wave. Great track.

on Danke x Modnex - InTeRvEnTioN by Modnex
Hey there, great work on the vox man and on top of one of my fav danke rock tracks. So that's a winning combo. I actually had a crack at singing to this too but it never saw the light of day, partly cause I never finished writing lyrics and partly cause I never got a proper mp3 off danke. I just recorded a version direct off LM with ##### sound. Anyway, this makes me wish I had persevered.

Thanks, Zoot! You should finish it, you're really good at singing. I would love to see another vocalist take on the instrumental; it would be interesting to see what other people hear while listening to this.

Thanks for the kind words -- I truly appreciate it.

Great track man. Love the intro, beat is real good. Cool bells and guitar, the fx on the guitar reminds of a style used sometimes by African head charge.

It's a dream I'm sure. The horses refs made me think of this sparklehorse track https://youtu.be/QnRzUn-Nseg

on Return Of The Hobbit Two by DijamMusic
Bloody hell I was like how did I miss this one?! But I see it was before my time on LM. Beautiful track my friend. I am walking the dog last thing at night under a clear starry sky, could've been middle earth. But I gotta say, agree with clickbait, it has a western feel to it. Hobbits on horseback with six shooters shooting themselves in their hairy feet maybe lol. Maybe not...

Hi Chris,
Yes mate, I'm an old man mate.
Hey, I hope I didn't scare your dog mate.
Thank you very much for your feedback.
You are too kind to me.
Glad you like it.
Thanks again.

One for Gaia! Love the vibe of this, I'm a fan of 'world' music and this has that feel. Mountain music.

Fav yet again Ian. I haven't been here much either lately, this is the first and delightfully treatful piece I've listened to in a while. Great stereo panning, it's dense and percussive but ambient and atmospheric at the same time. There's a whole world in this one. You're an artist man in the truest sense of the word.

Hey Mate - yeah I've posted a few without featuring as Im still crazy busy but it's so nice to have a play and catch up - just posted a version of strange fruit - not sure how successful that one is but it reminded me of our jack teagarden adventure with your track. I love it that the vox was actually in Fmin which was the key the track was in - so random how we connect these things : )

It's a no brainer to listen to your music. You guys make a fantastic team. Some of those synths are spine tingling, your vox and layered harmonies are just sublime. They remind me a bit of Duet by Breaks Co-Op. Maybe. Anyway brilliant stuff.

Hello Chris,
if we were able to keep you entertained, our mission out there is already accomplished! We are very pleased that you keep dropping in... you can't please everyone - but we're all the happier when it works for some. Thanks for listening.
Cheers from Micky (also on behalf of Jynxz)

on Word by Jkingz ft RyanCali by Jkingz
Yeah bro, this gets this moving. Wobble bass at 2:30 is mean. I'd almost be inclined to keep that last word with the delay coming and going all the way to the end. Just a thought. Great mix.

on Friendly - Balloon Mix by Kirkoid
This is an awesome piece of work. Great bluesy vox, cool as balloon bass and fx. Love the slow build. Been a long time since I did NOS, seem to remember it makes your voice really deep. Happy times, happy and hugely creative music. Love it.

on Belgian Waffle by Kirkoid
Those strings (?) are outstanding! Love the vibe they create. Poem is cool. The drum works fit so well, I'm far too lazy when it comes to percs but I appreciate them in others. I've heard of using headphones as a mic, from Bringer of Doom, sounds like it works pretty well!

on EndLessLoop by Jynxz
Yes this did mess with my head, not being able to find the first beat of a bar most of the way through. But I like that a lot. Great smooth slinky track, sultry vox, cool as ##### piano. Sweet all round.

What's up down-under Zootman.

I am beginning to find some of my old stuff
that had decent content but, back then I wasn't
as knowledgeable about the presentation or some of
the other utilities and what-not that can make an old
track sound very different than it did back then. I guess
since I'm still learning more stuff about music production
almost everyday I'll probably say the same thing about this
version two years from now.

Your listen and Fave are a huge encouragement as well as a
indicator that I'm moving forward. I really appreciate it.

PEACE...

Love the dance between the drums and the congas. That keeps things moving at just the right pace. Has a beat sensibility to it, jazz plus lofi plus chill out. Great track.

So I had to go back a few times trying to pick the Dr John part! Love his early psychedelic stuff gris gris gumbo. always look forward to an installment from you, definitely a fan of your style, vox and aesthetic. Top class!

Oh this doctor, I remember getting real goosebumps when Zou Zou Mamou sounded in that voodoo scene in the movie ANGEL HEART. Well, in my song it honestly, certainly, I promise, definitely has no other function than that it fits tonally ... just buzzed around in my head. You can bet a crowfoot on that.
Certainly very pleased that you like the track - thank you, Zootman for stopping by again.

Greetings to NZ,

Micky

on Moss Mother Part 1 - Sun by ValveDriver
Fantastic and unbelievable re the vst guitars! Great drama and build and release of tension. I spend a lot of time alone in the bush (part of my job) and I love it. I have always thought of nature as a mirror that reflects back whatever you bring with you. To me the bush and mountains are peace and wonder and respect but then here in NZ we don't have things that went want to eat you! Which this track sometimes feels like!
ValveDriver
ValveDriver replied 17th Jul 2022 - 4 years ago
I would love to have a job where I spend all my time alone on the mountain. But, unfortunately, I'm temporarily outside of the PNW where it's all flat praries. When I get back, maybe.
Where I'm from we have bears, mountain lions and large elk herds. Granted, the elk don't want to eat you, but they don't want you on on their territory either.

I'm glad you were able to connect the emotions of the song with what was intended. I guess tha means I did what I set out to do, huh?

Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment. It means a lot.

Take care.
V.
