combustible sprit-music, man! you sound good playing on the dirty side, here its a nice revelation to hear hancock without the bright finish that characterizes his electronic stuff. the bruised knucks are just massive on that bass right outta the gate, and the funk flows well with the jazz. crazy good stuff!!

I have this Herbie album, Headhunters isn't it? Crazy album it is! He also plays keys on one of my favorite miles Davis albums In a Silent Way. Your version is pretty different, much smoother but still got that funk. Very cool in fact.
