on Meaningless Time by Dripig
You have a very rich yet raw sound here man. LM's genre descriptions arent really as specific as they should be. Breakcore, true hardstyle, phonk, complextro, all under represented genres. I like alot of the elements you went with, it definitely has a unique identity. Well done.
Dripig
Dripig replied 16th Dec 2025 - 1 month ago
Hey, glad that you enjoyed my track.
I think that i should stay somewhere in between phonk & Breakcore? Because they sound pretty good and i always enjoy them.

on Screaming by TheFrenZ
I certainly hear elements to Techno and even Industrial in there. The tempo is different here than most techno would be, but thats not really important. Its different than alot of other stuff youve been doing lately. Thats versatility. Well done FrenZ.

Thanks, glad you like it. It's how my creation process works, fiddle with sounds and create melodies into something I like regardless of possible genre borders I don't know and won't learn :) Thinking outside the box is easy when you don't have boxes to begin with ;)

Roll in the middle? Idk about middle but ive rolled in the hay a time or 2 lol. All jokes aside, ive felt the way u describe many times in my life, and i kno that has had an effect on some of the decisions ive made. It warms my heart that you would write this Kay. Thank you.

Thanks bro. I just chose to go with the first melody that came up when I started jamming on the keyboard while hearing out the acapella. I'm glad you enjoyed it man.

on Raise Me Up Again by RichardShekari
198 Miles away so it was not convenient at all for us to record and mix vocals at my house. So over half of his vocals were done in Audacity by him and then sent back to me to mix amd and master. Ive listened to those songs alot recently (most are posted on The Monder Squadd profile that my brother runs) and i think they sound amazing. Good enough that ive used the same software and technique on 2 of my newer Remixes here on LM and sure enough, the results are very good. Let me know if theres any way i can help you. I have a cloud account that I used to occasionally help other members of the community here, there's some software like synths, and some Sample packs and stuff like that there that i offer 100% free should you want them. Some of it is pretty nice stuff. I understand from experience that making music can be a pretty expensive thing so I wanted to make sure that there was a way resources could be offered to anyone here on LM who needs or wants them. the cost is no issue. As a bonus there are a couple of sample packs that I personally crafted myself, loops and MIDI and stuff like that. It you're interested just let me know and I'll send you the link

Hey Richard, i just wanted to mention that for a laptop with limited RAM, CPU and or storage to manage, try Audacity for vocal mixing. The end result is better than Adobe audition, and its easy to integrate both native and external effects etc. Give it a shot, its 100% free software from the website
RichardShekari
RichardShekari replied 12th Dec 2025 - 1 month ago
Oh man, thanks. I used to have Audacity but never realised it was that versatile - I didnt know it could actually be used for proper music production, bruh. Ill try to watch some tutorials, because Im hoping to switch my DAW in 2026

on Im Not Going Anywhere by Flat2Forge
Well i definitely hope youre not going anywhere! We have work to do!
This piece continues youre progression into visual audio territory, and it truly suits you well. Its fine to be able to work in multiple genres and all that, but a producer's music really gets elevated when they develop a definitive and preferential style. Thats when art truly takes shape. It goes without saying, but well done man.

Ive listened to this one 1000 more times than the rest of our stuff, its by far my favorite - bcuz of YOUR vocal parts, mainly. You went thru so much growth during the production of these songs, and i couldn't be more proud bro.

My drums remain an issue; i have a midi drum set and Ableton drums but I've been wanting to use something like SuperiorDrummer for a long time to make it better.
But here it seems to work!

on Pin Cushion Medicine by ValveDriver
Man....Jared and I both have been thru some really dark things in our lives, its a miracle we're still breathing. I left that particular monster behind in 2018...Jared is 10 years younger than me and he was determined to make every mistake our sister and I taught him not to make. Im happy to say hes been on a journey of his own for almost 2 years, and i couldnt be prouder of him.....this track oozes with the horror and feeling of what life would be like had we been a tad less strong and faltered. Forever shackled with invisible chains, joy and happiness are so far away that they seem like myths.....and the unbearable weight of shame that destroys the last threads of hope....i feel immense sadness for every single person who lost the struggle, alone and in pain. Im truly sorry that youve lost so many Aaron. This was very visceral and matched the topic almost too well at times. You understand your art, brother. This was beyond great.

I'm glad to hear you and your siblings have conquered the beast. Truly. I believe that peace is the baseline default of our psyche. It's not something you chase, achieve, or ascend to. It's something you have to uncover by removing agents of chaos. Anything that inhibits the natural state, anything that has been piled on by the human narrative. Addiction being one of those things. That's why it's such a motherfucker. It lulls you into a false state of peace. But really, it couldn't be more chaotic, and caustic. The antithesis of peace.
As far as understanding my art. I do. I was born an artist, and expression through creativity is the only way I know how. Drawing and painting are my true love. Music is an alternate path of expression when I need a break from the canvas. So, in that, I still paint, but with sound instead of oils.
Thanks for taking the time, man. And again, I'm glad you guys kicked it.
Take care.

on Raise Me Up Again by RichardShekari
Hey Richard - The melody of this one is very catchy, I noticed that right off the bat. But your skill stands out as well. You have made alot of music, and all that practice has turned you into a consummate professional, brother. Twice now my wife has complimented your work, too, man. Youve accomplished alot, and hopefully reached some people who truly needed it at that moment. Your efforts are noticed and appreciated bro
RichardShekari

Oh man, Im genuinely honoured that you and your beloved wife consider my work worthy of listening to, and that youve both noticed the progress Ive been making. It truly means a great deal to me.

Im hoping to switch fully to FL Studio by next year, because Ive noticed everyones work around here sounds so crisp and sonically crystal-haha-so Im hoping to get to that level as well. For now, I only use FL for crafting the beats, then record all my vocals in Adobe Audition, simply because my laptop cant handle running the instrumentals and vocals together without struggling.

Ive actually been trying to make the complete switch for almost three years now, but Im still caught between both systems, haha. Hopefully, with time and a better setup, Ill finally make the jump.

Freakin sweet, guys. I rarely use Saxophone type sounds, simply bcuz of the main type of music I make. But man its catchy as hell here. I dont know why I didn't expect that. This is as fine an example of what The LM community can do as Ive heard. Bravo man.

Dude, u nailed it this time. Trip Hop isnt as easy or straightforward a genre as people might think. This reminds me of The Pharcyde - trust me, thats a damn good thing. I also detect some grimey elements, as well, whether by design or coincidental, Grime and Trip Hop share a ton of DNA. Anyways, well done man.

on JAPAN STYLE freestyle beat - 2022 by rabbersound
I like your concept here man. I feel your pain on losing your projects and ideas. Its happened to me TWICE. The first time I lost so many completed and nearly complete songs that i nearly just stopped producing altogether. Im glad I didn't. And Im glad u didnt either. A positive from it could be the growth youve had in unexpected places. Anyway, keep on truckin man.
rabbersound
rabbersound replied 5th Dec 2025 - 2 months ago
I really appreciate what you wrote! First of all, because (for the worse), I'm not the only one who's lost projects, haha, but your thought is still positive. Finding the strength to keep going despite having lost a lot, and this applies not only to music, obviously, but to life as well. Luckily, in 12 years of producing, it's never even crossed my mind to stop producing music, and you never think that will happen.
