Im the black sheep of my family, and i couldn't be happier about that. Otherwise id be a bumbling, clueless, judgemental clown. Luckily, i dodged a pretty huge bullet. Lol.
Anyway, really like the bass in this one. You continued your run of songs that have heavy visual elements to them, and thats a good thing! U have me thinking of making a sequel to the album of cinematic instrumentals i released year before last, id def try and have u collab on several songs if I do

on Electric blue by TheFrenZ
Ah, my favorite color. There's alot of color in this song tho. It definitely has a story to tell. Idk why it makes me think of Nordic or Scandinavian vibes, but like has been said already, it does. I like it.
Btw i have some Vital Presets I found on one of my drives, im gonna send em to u at some point.
TheFrenZ
TheFrenZ replied 27th Nov 2025 - 2 months ago
Glad you like it, I guess I have to investigate a bit on that Nordic or Scandinavian vibe :) Vital presets are welcome, the only problem I have with Vital is that above 6 playing Vital tracks the CPU goes above 50% and the sound starts to stutter :( then it's just a matter of "freezing" some tracks and move on :) W11 on simple laptop...

Most people have forgotten about this genre - or have gotten far away from what it is supposed to be. Drift is more my taste, but u have done well here. The drops and cowbells are good too. Well done.

Keep Flexing, bro lol. I truly believe that collaborative efforts like this are what truly makes music special. I think you get it. Anyway, ill be patiently waiting for my turn.
DanMed
DanMed replied 27th Nov 2025 - 2 months ago
I believe too in making music with others. It really makes music special and it helps me also to understand processes and to learn more. It helps me to grow, but others around me are growing with me too as i have a lot to offer. Thats why i like to try various genres and experiment. I don't chase big labels (i had my chances), money, contracts etc. I'm working for little but very versatile label, producing for others and i'm enjoying in it! Sometimes i take too much work on me but i just like to work on music.
Collab will be fire i can see it from here.
Cheers!

on Thoughts - feat Odarka by fanisatt
I was gonna say, Odarka again but u beat me to it lol. She apparently has infinite acapellas. I like the melody in this one, it reminds of a song i heard years ago called Bubble Gum, cant remember the artist's name. But it was good, as is this. Well done man.

I can usually tell when one of your songs is playing these days. I really like the drums in this one, its been a long time since ive done a song with a similar drum pattern. I think its time i did one.

You recognise my songs? I have to listen to my creations on a regular basis to remember what I created ;) Yes I played more than normal with the drums, still MIDI using Sitala VST :). Thanks for the comment.

on Love on the Dance Floor by Flat2Forge
I wouldnt say most of your work is innately dark, at least in what most would think of as Dark. Id say a large percent cinematic, because of your visual cues and storytelling. And alot of times tied to a feeling or emotion, the perception of emotion., especially Dark, or melancholic. Sometimes Epic, like your last one. You wear many different hats, u should think of yourself and your work as such. Im watching (well, listening lol) u evolve as an artist, my friend. Im glad i get the chance to do so.
All that said, this one has a much more upbeat vibe than usual, so successful to that end. I like it man. Id say its synth pop, reminds me of older Porter Robinson. Well done
Flat2Forge
Flat2Forge replied 20th Nov 2025 - 2 months ago
I had never heard Porter Robinson before, and after doing so, it's true there's a certain similarity with this song. I am still experimenting with different genres and sounds; right now, I'm trying to master dark R&B/synth-pop style like The Weeknd. In fact, that was the intention with this song, but in the end, it turned into something too upbeat and danceable, but I think it didn't turn out too bad, and that's why I posted it on LM.

on Late for the Train by ShortBusMusic
Human emotion and creativity cannot be artificially replicated to the point of being indistinguishable from the real thing. Not yet. Theres always something that gives it away, to me. I hope im long gone from the world when our art no longer belongs to us - our emotions and our imaginations will no longer be our own

ShortBusMusic replied 20th Nov 2025 - 2 months ago

on Late for the Train by ShortBusMusic
Ive been a member of this community for several years myself, Ive seen alot of growth, and Ive seen a few negative things. Ive met terrible people, and ive met lifelong collaborators who i now count among the best of friends. Ive shared alot of music, ive listened to and critiqued alot of music, much like still do. I became the producer of an awesome group, ive been a part of several projects here on LM that a extremely good, if not great. Ive been involved in a stinker or 2. Ive learned alot from my peers, and ive taught alot, as well. I even started a Discord server to assist the community here with collaborations last year. Not a single time have i used any intelligence other than mine to accomplish those things, and never in a million years will I. Im a lifelong musician, and a producer for over a decade, and the skill and experience ive earned from a lifetime of learning and failing, getting up and trying again is a trillion times more valuable than anything skynet is going to throw at me. Well, besdies the inevitable nukes and human extinction, id say. A.I. can be utilized by some to achieve quite a few things. It has no place in art, imo. That belongs solely to us and it should always be so.
Anyway, the song is ok. I guarantee your worst song without the use of A.I. is 100000000 times better.

Thanks for weighing in on this one. I figured that the majority, if not all of Looperman would be against AI in the creation of music. While I can see some benefits - fleshing out instrumental ideas, help with lyrics, building a drum beat )maybe), the actual creation of a song completely by the AI, performed by the AI, mixed and mastered by the AI, is just going a bit too far. I don't know how one controls this, especially now that the toothpaste is out of the tube, but I would hope something could be done. As always, I appreciate all that you have done, and all that you continue to do for the Looperman community. I joined originally in 2008, and it has been quite the ride. Take care and as always, I appreciate your feedback. I hope all is well.
