Hello Pnnywze, I appreciate your listen and thoughts bro....it means a lot of course. That is one thing we dont do on occasion is think about ourselves....so its good to pause and bless yourself and give thanks.....we are quite lucky when we think about the rest of the world.....so its good to remember that, so once again thank you friend.

I had such a good time working on this, we all did. And to be involved in so many insanely great collabs lately, its humbling and empowering at the same time. Lets keep our momentum!

on Strawberry Fuzz Bomb by Zootman
I meant to mention this in the first comment, but I have a series of MIDI packs that Ive made, mostly drum and 808 but a few melody packs, as well. Ive given them to some folks here to try out, and to kinda get a peek at how I do my drums. I'll send em to u if u want to experiment or whatever. Theyre royalty free and all other bullshit free, so use em however youd like.
Zootman
Zootman replied 11th Mar 2026 - 2 weeks ago
Yeah, got them thanks. I'll check em out when I get a chance. If i want to use the drums I guess I'll need to set them up to trigger samples or something, which might be a bit technical for me the luddite.

What plug in are u running the bass midi through? Im just curious. Outside of expensive and RAM hungry Kontakt instruments, its hard to find a good bass guitar plugin. Ive used a few presets that come with FLEX in FL, but theyre not great. If I had the option at the moment, Id just play the damn bass myself and process basically it the same way I do my guitar pieces. I dont have a bass though :/
Ive given this one a few listens. Youre right, the new mix is superior. It seems like I heard a few more sounds in the background as well, idk if you added more or if the mix is that much clearer. Anyway, I love when u do these type of songs, there's a pureness to them thats hard to put into words. Really nice work, Chris.
Zootman
Zootman replied 11th Mar 2026 - 2 weeks ago
Me neither on the real bass guitar front. On this track, and most other things I've done, it was done on Labs free bass, with a dash of compression/EQ and saturation from Black Box (Analog Design). I have toyed with the idea of getting Modo bass (IK Multimedia) but I'm not convinced my laptop's CPU can handle it. Otherwise I think I'd get it cause it looks cool and I think it sounds pretty good. Cheers man, Chris.

on When u look in the mirror by RitajustRita
Im working on one of the songs u did vocals for tonight - the guys added some great verses, too. I cant wait to share it. This song is just another example of why youre so unique - youre just so versatile, I dont think there is anything that your voice wouldnt shine on. Even the songs that u seem to think arent very good are fxcking great to me. Youre truly great, Rita. I remember first talking to u almost 3 years ago (can u believe its been that long already?) and u have grown alot since then, especially with the music u make yourself. We are so proud of you.

RitajustRita replied 12th Mar 2026 - 1 week ago
I'm curious to see what you make of it. I'll wait and see.
Time is going so fast hmm??I remember your first beat also and how i thought...And how I thought,
"He's a beginner like me. I have to encourage him like people encouraged me, and look where you are now."
Only I've continued singing and still make a beat every now and then.
But I'm proud that I can make a beat without using loops, although I've used one sometimes too.

on Countdown by Mindway
Ive wanted to do a song with a clean sounding guitar like the one in the very beginning of this, so that was my first thought. Secondly, two Squadd members are here with me tonight, listening along with me. The only thing that I might have to do is extend certain parts if they request it so they can have longer verses. We should have something for u in the next week or 2, we tend to work pretty fast. We have a collab with Kayos and Ollie coming soon, too. We couldnt be happier man.

We like the beat here, for sure. Nice work. Theyll do it justice.

Ah, as soon as I heard your voice I was happy. Its impossible not to. Btw I emailed u my most recent upload, and a few other beats that we're working on, to see if u can work with something. Even if its just a verse or chorus on one of them, Ill take it, the songs are pretty long so theres alot to work with. Talk to u soon, favored lady!

on Would You Feel Better by Emmonia
I do remember hearing work under the 500cc name. Interesting name change. This song reminds me of my underground club days, when I was introduced to stuff like DJ ODi, had a huge impact on me as I was a DJ for some years. Enjoyable and a bit addictive as good EDM tends to be for me. So well done there. As far as vocalists go, I kno a few that work with EDM that I could introduce you to, if youre still interested.
Emmonia
Emmonia replied 1st Mar 2026 - 3 weeks ago
Yeah that would be awesome. I'm stuck using splice and free looperman vocals for the time being so that would be a huge help. I'd be happy to return the favor in some way as well

As Ive been saying alot lately, Im pretty new to anything Jazz, and I hated the saxophone for a looooong time. It seems age and wisdom brings enlightenment, as Ive heard some pieces here in the community lately that have changed my mind completely, esp with the saxophone. I gotta agree with Danke on this one, the sax stands out and is really enjoyable. Nice work.

on Dooper by makinbeats4me
I love cinematic pieces. I love the concept of visual elements in an auditory experience, in general. To me, storytelling is the most important aspect of any musical piece, and Ive made that a priority in all of my work, solo or with The Monzder Squadd. I enjoyed my time with this one. It didnt overstay, either. With your visual cue, I imagined a dark desert highway that terminates at the foot of a huge imposing mountain, not knowing why we're speeding toward it and not needing to. Nice work.

This one was already really good, but it really grows on you upon listening multiple times. Its easy to appreciate the skill and work that you put into it that way. Not to mention just how far youve come as a vocalist. We've been watching you progress for quite a long time now. Bravo, Sir.

on Groove X featuring Cosmo by Cosmo
Well, Im sure he will enjoy this one. My experience with jazz comes solely from this website, with Kingmt77 and the collabs that 1Godfather and DanMed did that feature alot of saxophone and jazz vibes. I gotta say, I really dig it. Especially since I didnt much care for the saxophone prior to listening to those pieces. You did well here, especially with it being unassisted piano. Piano and guitar are my top 2 when it comes to actually playing real instruments, Ive got 25 years of experience with the guitar. This made me want to hear some more jazz type songs, so youve done really well here.
Cosmo
Cosmo replied 1st Mar 2026 - 3 weeks ago
Pnnywze. I have to laugh about your comment on the saxophone. When I play a track with saxophone here at home, my wife Vicki tells me to turn it off. I ask her what do you have against saxophone. Her answer, "Kenny G". He ruined saxophone for me. I've got the same response from others too. I guess it's not a real jazz ensemble if you ignore the sax. Steve Bone is the guy playing on this track and I really respect his work. Thank you for your comments. Cosmo

on Its Time Reimagined by kingmt77
Sax used to be one of my least favorite instruments until I heard a couple of tracks that DanMed and 1Godfather did that changed my mind. I get my inspiration from unlikely places, Its impossible for me to overlook creativity, skill, or effort in any song. And this one clearly has all three. This is why I love music so much. Your song reminds me of something I heard in a movie years ago, I just cant yet remembe what it was. Anyway, I like it. Well done, sir.

kingmt77 replied 25th Feb 2026 - 4 weeks ago
Pnnywze! Greetings and welcome. DanMed and 1Godfather strategic placement of the saxophone in their tracks must be noted. Im in love with what we do. From drawing creativity from inspiration to the finished product, it gets no better.

Perhaps the movie this reminded you of is Whiplash. I kinda thought about that after finishing this. Because of the swing sections. Anyway your stop, comments, and musical perspective is refreshing.

on Lofi In progress by DarkArtz
The bones are there for something pretty special. You need a bit more business in the background, something that goes through the whole track and brings it all together. Vary your percussion a bit more, like a bright snare halfway through to move everything forward, and a nice percussion motif woven throughout to add a little bounce. I like the little slightly-off plucks, you could build on those with a different instrument to add even more variation. These are all ideas, but for me the most important aspect of music of any kind is the story it tells, and this has the potential to tell a great one.
