Nice track Donnie, pleasure to listen to. Puts you in a certain mood right from the begining, relaxed. It's nice to hear simply produced tracks carry their musical weight in gold. Nice stuff!!
Sorry bout the delay mate (was mad busy with school stuff). As for the track, back then the keyboard was all I had. So I would spend countless hours just foolin around with it. And one early morning when I had been tinkerin with it for a little this melody started coming together. Glad ya dug it. Later on!
Once again, your instinctual feel for the earthy beat and sounds carry this unique blend of genres to another level. Hip hop? Not too sure about that in a strict sense of the genre but there are a lot of influences here, maybe putting it more in the fusion genre I would guess, celtic even but we don't have that here.
Nice to hear the a capella, fits great, liked the delay. Enjoyed the vibes as well.
I used Psychotropic circle's Hip Hop bass loop to drive this one, which is the principal reason that I've designated it as such.
One of the things I've been reading about with music lately is Hip Hop's ability to absorb other genres which is what I'm attempting here. I think maybe using both "Funk" and "Reggae Dub" drum loops might have pushed the boundaries a bit. Certainly the Celtic Ballad challenges the genre even further.
How much absorption is actually possible?
Great fun experimenting with this one! Thanks for the review - and the Fave!
Wow, your voice just blows me away!! You are such a pleasure to listen to. The song is beautiful, meaningful, wonderful!! Loved the spoken word at the end, I could listen to you talk all day, intoxicating! ;)
Very cool, Loved it!! Great track man. Your mastering is right on the mark! Audition 3 right?
I just started using it a few months ago, simply great! dl!thanks
Nice play between the strings and the synths, they work really well together. I'm feeling this track, great production, nicely mixed. Crazy hihats!! FYI, you have about a minute of silence/dead sound at the end of the track, figured I'd let you know.
This was great! Really enjoyed how you used Minette's vocal track, she has such a wonderful voice. Loved how you put this together, especially the effects on the backup vocal tracks!
Nice peaceful, relaxing song! Inastant fav and dl! Nice guitars mixed with keys with the bell thru the song, real nice.
I want to hear this sitting at the beach, having a drink while the summer breeze cools my toes as they play in the hot sand. Reality check...freezing my butt off while it's snowing outside, lol. Great tune, warmed me up, at least in spirit!!
Hey Spiv, this is different, the key that this is in is freaking me out, lol, some of it almost sounds out of key. Is that the C phrygian mode you described, never heard of that. It is different sounding that's for sure. The guitars sounds nice.
I agree the key is a little freaky on this one! I had to find a scale that contained C# C and A# to go with the bass line, and the phrygian seemed to work. The lead synth I think might deviate from that scale a bit, but only in a blue note sort of way. Glad you liked the guitar, I wish I was better at playing it...heh. Thanks for your review my friend!
It's nice to have created some new things, it's been slow going, but I think it's turning out good. Glad I could make you smile with my synths... :) Your kind words are much appreciated!
Nice track, very poppy sounding. I Like your voice, nice and strong and clean. I like the song, catchy! Sounded like you could pump the bass up just a bit, other than that, pretty sweet!
Decent idea in this genre. Just a suggestion, I would try to get the vocals a little clearer in the mix. Maybe spread the guitar out a bit leaving the center open for your vox, they seem to be competing for the same space in the mix. Other than that a good metal thrasher, digging it!
Cool track man, it had a bit of a '60s surf rock feel to it. Hope you work this out a little more, would like to hear you embelish this with a bit of Dick Dale guitar type stuff.
Simply brilliant! The bass sounds great, I'll have to try to add the wah wah to the bass and see if I can get it to sound remotely as good as yours. You guys are pure talent and such a joy to listen to!
I like this version a little more than the previous. The vocal arrangement seems better at first listen and the cymbals punch right thru. I listened to it on headphones and the mix sounded very even and tight. dl and fav!! Great job!!
Thanks for stopping by again :) Im going to try and clear the vocals a bit so people can understand them... Just need another section and It should be done. Thank you for taking the time to listen and fav! its handy to know the mix sounds good on others speakers/headphones. The crash I love :) Thanks again!
This was really great! I wished it went on longer but I just hit the play button again! Ken's vox fit nicely into your music track which almost has an Egnima(the band)feel to it. Well done!
Hi mate. Thanks bud! I'm slowly getting to what I want with it... you can check a new arrangement here http://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/57299 if you would like that is! Thanks again man
I really like what you did to this. I liked the original but this one def has your feel to it. It seems a little darker, a little more mysterious, a little tastier. Nice job jah!
Hey, I think it gets better each time I hear it!! Like the new beat, different than your usual beats. Look forward to hearing the next version with the guitar fills on it!
Thanks a lot Wayne,
For the moment,I have no idea for the guitar fills but I'm gonna work on it tonight. You're more than welcome if you have any suggestion
Cheers

I really like the sound of the bass in this! Steel drums, just love 'em, you snuk them in near the beginning, lol. A nice relaxed groovy funky song.
There is a lot of instruments here and you mixed it nicely. Great job!
