Nice, real nice! The feeling of this is just great. Very even mix, everything sounds like it's in it's proper place. Well done Ash! Faved and dl!

Is Marj going to do any vocals on it? Hope so!!

Thank you Wayne, thank you very much :), Marj is doing a vocal version to this.
I picked up a Shure monitoring headphone, really helping me out with mastering like never before :)

Simply great! Between you and his new school teaching him, Alexander is already an accomplished player and is so impressive at such a young age. I love the funky feel to this and the overall mix and feel to this is amazing. Awesome job guys!!

*["SAY IT AGAIN" REVIEW]*

This is a fantastic song! The piano is just soooo sweet. The nice drum and the perfectly mixed strings sounded great and really add the perfect touch! Cinematic? Yup, I could hear this as a movie soundtrack but I wished it was longer.

This is coming along nicely! The bass sounds cool, it kinda offsets the drum and guitar and works pretty good, imo!

This was pretty cool! I like the simplicity of it, everything spread out and not being cluttered. Some cool effects on the drumbeat. Nice job man!

on QUADRATIC by siensystem
First off, I liked the way it started, that was neat! I'm not known for being an expert in Trance, lol, but this was a very well produced song. I listened to it on headphones and the mix was real even and nicely panned. All the effects were well executed on the instruments and there seems to be quite a few here. This was a real pleasure to listen to!

Faved and dl, good chit man!!

on Easy take by FrenchKid18
This is a better version than the one you posted earlier. I think you mixed the vocals better this time. The guitars sound better in this mix as well, growly effect on it. Maybe turn up the bass a little bit. Like the lyrics alot. Keep working on the mix, this has potential to be better than it currently is, just my opinion. ;) Pretty explosive ending!! Cool tune, very 80's sounding!!

I agree with FrenchKid that the vox should come up a bit. Very hypnotic, I was drawn right into it. The classical sounds nice with the panning.

on Grass of Red by BemusedStranger
The acoustic sounded different with the paper in it, almost a sitar feel to it. I like the flute, kinda reminded of American Indian music. And the whole thing had an Appalachian folk roots feel so basically the whole thing confuses me, lol !!

Seriously, I like it, you have an interesting sound that's not heard much here. You're song ideas are great. What software do you use to record?

on COMING HOME by KidKhaos
This track has some nice elements. I thinks it has an uplifting feel to it, very positive. The vocals were nice and fit real well and the instrumentation you chose to use was excellent. My only suggestion is to watch your levels/velocities, some things sounded just a wee bit loud in the mix. Overall a decent song, enjoyed it!

What a trip! Very cool, this sounds like an awesome trip to the planetarium, lol!! Thought the rainstorm was cool and then "your" percussion kicked in and then the very cool, trance like synths came in and I was sucked in.... Very cool tune dude!!

Totemic music with heavy allegorical overtones. The original drafts were titled, "Simian Defiance" and that's the `tude I was trying to invoke here. I'm still surprised that something so "thick" works as well as it does. It's still one of my favorite creations here. Thanks for the compliments, Wayne. It's great having you as a compatriot and ally! Cheers.

Very well played! The hiss almost sounds like a wind storm from an old movie, well I have had a drink, lol. It somehow fits with the sound of the piano, weird. There is some character they way it is, cool.

on Listen With Symetrical Time by GHOSTthatcheR
Hey Thatcher, good to listen to a new song by you! This could fit into a few different genres so I guess that means you have a lot of influences going into this one. I liked it, some nice synths, good changes and the vocals seemed to work nice. The drums sounded like they could use a little more reverb just to get them in the mix a little more. Overall, nice track, man!

Wayne
GHOSTthatcheR
GHOSTthatcheR replied Unknown
thanks man, i always like getting a review from you. I think you might be right there, the drums were the hardest thing to play with to work it into the track, also the panning origionally was quite over the top in sections so there was alot of work there looking for the right levels and so forth. Thanks for the words man.
