The music has a Lynyrd Skynard feel to it which I love, southern rock, oh yea. The vocals could be a little louder in the mix but I like them! Cool track bud, really diggin your music!!
Thanks for listening and for the feedback. You're right about the vocals so I did some adjustments, the vocal track is now a bit louder in the mix, hope you like it. (Actually, I sang parts of the track again.) /pmk
hey wayne, glad you find it worth a little disk space. the experiences that inspired the song were not pleasant although everything came out ok, so i guess the point is that with creativity & a sense of fun you can turn negative stuff around & make it into something positive. laughing @ the weasels means i don't have to be angry & bitter.
This is a nice piece, a very well put together piece. I want to get in my kayak now and paddle up the crazy Euphrates, lol. Nice production, interesting sounds make a nice soundscape, just close your eyes and take the trip!!
Hey Sien, like the improvements, sounds awesome in the headphones. I like all the changes in it, not just a straight beat through the whole song. Quite an epic song, really well put together, especially the overall dynamics and quality of the recording, great job!
Thanks for the re-assurance theHumps. I am still a bit eerie about the levels and some of the things going on in the track, but I guess it must be that I've heard this track over 200 times. Greatly appreciate the kind words. Appreciate it.
There ya go, lot of honesty in this recording, just you and the guitar. In my head I could hear a simple drum track, some bass and some lead guitar on this, hope you work it out someday!!
Certainly a lot of energy to this track. Drums sound good, like the snare rolls. There is quite a bit going on here but it doesn't feel too crowded. Gave it the headphones listen, the mix sounds great! Just a good tune!!
Great low bass sound. All the synth sounds going on but a lot of space still. Bells were a nice touch. Glad you put the guitar in there, made a difference I think.
yeah, the bassline is made of 4 different vst's, was much work to make it sound like that ...
and you're right, the guitar changed the mood of the song a lot!!!
thx for your review ... ;-)
peace, rei
Thank you Wayne, all the credit goes to frenchkid for the arrengments, I just got into the song, I think is a very cinematic track, she wants to go and he doesn't take it.
thank you for listening
ciao

First off, I love the Knack but glad it wasn't a cover after hearing this. This is pretty dang sweet! The classical sounded great as well as the percussion. This is such a pleasure to listen to as I love the latin sound.
Your description really helped set the tone for the listening experience. You have some nice sounds working together here. Nice job putting this together!
This has a nice 70's feel to it, the OJays or something like that, a bit of the disco/mowtown vibe that was happening back then. This took me back a few!! Nicely produced as well.
Thanks man! Def a 70's feel! Ive been into sampling like crazy so when I do decide to make an all original track stuff like this happens. I love that late 70's early 80's soul/funk vibe. I dont know what it is about that era but I dig the shht outta it. Thanks for the kind words and the reveiw man!
This has an intensity to it that I like brought on by the drums and the great percussion. The tablas have a nice tones to them and sound really nice. On play three now and there is a lot of sound here! Very edgy, raw sounding, could hear this in a sci fi movie for sure. Def puts you in a certain frame of mind listening to it..
Hi Wayne. You've found one of my earlier pieces that I tend to forget about now! This one was done as a live loop mix using I Am The Mighty Jungulator, and about the time I realized the power of Max MSP. Funny enough, I've recently pulled up that old buggy software and am shocked at how it no longer serves the kind of music I'm making. You can really hear the percussion fiend sensibility I carry with this track, can't you? Thanks for the listen and positive words. Sean
This is pretty interesting, kinda freeky in a way. Very cinematic as well, maybe in a science fiction thriller!! The sounds complete a great mind trip and really stir the emotions, you just have to stay away from the brown acid when you listen to this one, lol.
I like it, very creative soundscape, the bass has a nice low tone that you added, sounds great in the headphones!!
I wonder if I shouldn't put in a disclaimer "Warning - this track draws from the Post-Industrial branch of Ambient Music: Not to Chill Out to." As a deliberate attempt at Ambient music, my goal here really is to create auditory hallucinations and some sort of altered state of consciousness in the listener. It's working for me - and I suspect others too if your "stay away from the brown acid" comment is an indication. Thanks for the review and favorite! To your offerings at first available moment!
Very enjoyable track and a great one for your first here!! The production is very good and I love the tabla, the sitar and your vocals which are strong.
This is pretty slick! Like the overall feel to this, dark, mysterious and the vocals fit perfectly. They greatly add to the tension that seems to underly this composition. The production is outstanding as seems to be the case in all your music. Fav!!
I try to get out the maximum of my limited technical resources ... everything's done with freeware ...
but over the years I learned a lot about production technique, and I have a solid musical education, all together it's enough to know what I have to do to reach my goal ... ;-)
thx for listening!!!
What can I say that hasn't already been said, this is just great my friend, put together perfectly. Everything is just so right about this on all levels. I think your best work I've heard so far, very impressed with this!!
On "ted.com" there is a great talk about how a researcher, who studied crows, found out how smart crows are and how there social structure is so complex. Very smart birds them crows!! I read your reply to Anomelie's comments on crows and had to add my 2 cents!
Hey Wayne - it's been hard not responding with crow and raven stories with every review as I have so many! For example, their ability and need to play. Two winters ago, on one snowy day I watched 4 crows sliding down the neighbors roof on their backs. When they'd bump into and stop at the gutter, they'd flip over and fly back up to the top and do it again. I swear they were all giggling crow style the whole time.
This track actually took a long time, and I played with the original jahknow loops for over 5 months before it started to click. I agree with your assessment, and am a bit nervous as I feel I've raised the bar pretty high for myself with this one. But then again, in watching my own evolution with this medium, it's pretty obvious that each track is somehow better than the last. Learning curve still in effect. So glad you dig this one, and am delighted by your review. Thanks!
