on My Virgin Attempt by Jenny
This put me in a good mood. Liked the intro, thought I was going to hear you sing there for a moment. The sax was just great. Like rei said, your new at this? It does end kinda suddenly but quite enjoyable.

Welcome to the loop!

Great piano playing, ragtime, ya I hear it!! Reminds me of music that would accompany a Charlie Chaplin type silent movie. Good stuff, don't hear much ragtime here!

and maybe there's a reason for that, lol. This is a piece I'ld worked up analog, but got ripped for my gear before I could record it. So, to pour off some of the pee and vinegar I immersed in writing it up non linear. The rag really came thru once I tossed the seventh in.

on Jungulation Victor by n0mad23
Sorry man, I thought I had reviewed this already. Of course you know how much I appreciate and respect your music and musical talents but this really is quite a "nomad23" showcase song, it really defines your music. I just love everything about this song and I can't thank you enough for allowing me to listen to this at will!!

Well, with this review I go red, a color you obviously skipped by becoming a mod but to us regular loopers it really is an accomplishment(as you prob know). Couldn't be happier to have this review be the one to get me there!!

Thanks for your friendship and being a stand up guy on the site!

Glad this track could serve as a personal milestone for you Wayne. The track itself was a real milestone in terms of approach and development for me. My first piece with Live 7 LE! And I think it really reveals a personal aesthetic that hadn't really come to light before this one. I've actually got this one laid out to do a remix and/or extended mix of, and I really think it's worth doing as I understand so much more about technical things now. It truly is an honor being a member here with you, Wayne. I can remember your first post and thinking to myself that another ally had joined. You're truly a community asset. - Sean

on Hybridity - a Subversive Dance by n0mad23
The first thing I noticed was the nice bass tones, sounds great. I am pleasently surprised at how nicely the accordian fits in. I had a predjudice in my head thinking of your great earthy beats with a cajon accordian. After the listen, boy was I off, lol, it was used creatively here, nice effects on it. I liked the vocal track too. Another keeper, thanks for sharing!

Wayne

n0mad23 replied Unknown
lol - you and me both Wayne. I largely hate the accordion, because of Polka and Lawrence Welk. Bad sounds. But I've heard them played well on a few occasions so I kind of know better. This in a way was my own facing my resistance to the instrument and doing something sonically redemptive with it. Sweat and much discomfort over the course of about 3 weeks of heavy obsession, but worth it in the end. It works. Thanks for the review and fave. Big compliment to be sure!
