heya Wayne, thanks for your comment, techno rock sounds cool, but i guess i should get rid of ambient elements in there to make it more comprehendable as a whole. pleasure though, what a pleasure to work with sound.
neon.
Thanks for sharing this gem, so darn cool. Your music always grounds me in some way. A virtual feast for my ears. Man, I'm on play three right now, soaking it in like a sponge. Nice bass and rhythm, powerful to say the least.
You never seem to amaze me when I listen to your music and I can certainly appreciate all that went into making this. Ableton is quite the toy, so much fun and creativity happens when using it.
Ableton for me is really about doing it live. This one is no exception, and I always try to keep things under 10 or 12 track so that I can mix it all with my MIDI controller on the fly. What you hear is what I play - though recording samples of the instruments on hand requires a lot of assembling the elements first. I'd really love to be able to hit a club and perform this stuff live as it's recorded. Thanks for the listen and encouragement Wayne!
Thank you Wayne,Slap does make all the difference.
I guess it's in part that the style SpellJammer and I are doing lends it's self to the Sax so well, and that Slap is just sooo very awesome!
You have such a beautiful voice and the song itself is quite good. I would try remixing it, like eshar said some levels need to be adjusted. The vocals sound nice and out front, I think the music could be pumped up a bit.
You have a nicely spread out track as far as the panning is concerned, big in the stereo field, it gives room for the vocals so don't be afraid to turn the instrument levels up. I saw your post in the forums and figured I would give you my honest opinion. Good luck!
Dang, there are some nice chords in this, really beautiful track. You got the big guns adding some tracks? Can't wait to hear the next version! You played the piano tracks too? I'm just starting to play again after 30 years, very rusty but this sounds like you are pretty decent on them. This is a great track Jamie, thanks for sharing.
Pretty interesting track, has a lot of feels to it. Naming this is a tough task, it has a Japanese and Australian and some techno and some orchestration and some..... Nicely put together and prob tough too. Liked it, on play 2 now, hmmm, a name..... how bout, "Down Under the Cherry Blossoms", ha! Well I tried, enjoyed it a lot!
I thought the piano was sweet as well as the very cool drum track. I normally wouldn't think of this as hip hop but what's in a genre. I had to give this a couple listens to soak it all in. Like candy for my ears, nice work, nice production!
This has a nice, positive, happy feel to it. The music is well mixed and you used a nice variety of instruments. Well done my friend, this is such a wonderful track!!
Thanks buddy. You don't know how I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've had a few problems with this song, but in the end I managed that. I'm learning a little every day. Honored for your fav.
The acoustic sounds nice and clear, great job recording it. Amazing that just a couple tracks can be so musically fullfilling. Pretty track, loved the harmonics!
thank you for taking the time to review me my friend. i was going to go back over it and re-record the melody due to fret buzz in places etc, and slight timing issues, but i kinda like the live feel to it ive decided ! thanks again for stopping by
Hey my friend, this is a great cover of a classic song. I am a huge Elvis fan, I've even been to Graceland. Nice job with the production on this and the singing is awesome!!
Loved the lyrics, haha, too good. This has more of a traditional country feel to it which I like more than the pop country that is out now. Kudos to all that worked on this, the production sounds great! Loved the slide guitar, been pricing them and would love to git one but times are tough right now. You can certainly put a song together Bill, nice job!
Cool track arkey, just love it! Not sure what jungle is, the drums perhaps, I dunno. It's a def must listen if you are a reggae fan like myself, enjoyed it thoroughly. Igo's vox were a plus!
jungle is basically a off shoot of drum n bass.
a little faster and i belive alot of jungle is influenced somewhat by reggae.
thanks for the listen and fav! awesome!
Bless!
Haha well thank you very much that was exactly what I was going for. Your great review kind of makes me want to go get some Ben and Jerry's Everything But...hmmm. Glad you enjoyed it!
Not too bad man. I liked the idea, would love to hear a full compliment of instruments on this and extend it a bit. Hardly noticed the click track. Just a suggestion, try panning the guitars a little left and right and it will open it up and make it sound fuller. Welcome to the loop!
Thanks for the review (: Interestingly, I do actually use panning on this track, though minimal amounts. I guess not enough has been used, it'll change anyway when I record it again (:
Nice track man, has a great feel to it, very relaxing, laid back approach. Nice choice on all the instruments in this and a nice mix too! Well done Tg!
Thanks Wayne,I'm still working on my guitar tones and I really didn't know what would work here cause Vicen is so awesome and you hate to do anything that would take away from his great style,but.....I did give him the final say in this :)
Nice melody, not too sure about the guitar synth sound you used. The two seem to clash a bit, the melody and beat are soothing and the guitar is a bit rough sounding. Kinda wanted to hear a more soothing synth instead. Just my humble opinion. I did like the overall feel to the track though.
Thanks alot i appreciate the listen... the contrasts in styles was part of what i was going for. if youre interested in my point of reference listen to some of Noah '40' Shahib.
I liked the live cello and the idea was pretty cool. The beat was perfect for the cello. Neat little track though.
The track only played for 50 seconds and then there was a lot of dead silence. Not sure if the track is that short or if you knew about a couple minutes of silence on the track. I refreshed the page and started the song again but it happened again. Figured I would mention it.
Hey Jamie, nice to hear a new one. Nice description, I see planet got a kick out of it too, haha!! Sweet rhythms and great mix, real even on all the levels. Like the latin beat and percussion in this. Ya, the guitar sounds nice and Dave did a great job too. Nice collab, well done!
Dang man, this is pretty cool!! Who doesn't think Allen V is a demigod, haha!!! This is just straight up rock, powerful and well written too. Nice job with this track man!!
Bull roarers? Where did you get those samples? Always liked the Midnight Oil song Bull Roarer. Dang man, it may have been a while that you have created anything but you guys put a pretty interesting track together. The vocal tracks were so effective here and combined with the music I feel like I am in the outback somewhere.
Maybe a litte more bass would be my only suggestion. Some of the percussion has some bass in it but I want to hear more, I guess being a bass player makes that something I want to hear louder. Maybe a cool sub bass track, in the background filling up the low freqs. Other than that Sean this is a great track
Will wait to dl the final product but I'm gonna fav this now knowing it is only gonna get better the more you fiddle with it.
Great job so far, can't wait to hear the final product!
Good call on the bass, Wayne. I actually have been thinking the same, so it's great to have it validated. I'll make it available for download when it's done, too. Thanks!
