This is really trippy, spaced out, relaxing type music here, haha. But dance as the genre? Might not have been my first choice but I don't put a lot of weight into genre lables in the first place. I liked the guitar playing and what you did to it. Nicely constructed track, interesting piece of mood music, great job!
hi thanks for the comment, I know its not exactly a dance track, maybe something futuristic of that sort, but i feel that it adds to the appeal of the track, Ill change it soon enough, take care,

Working in genres outside what you are used to can only make you a better musician, mixer, arranger.... It causes you to think differently and try things that you normally wouldn't, like different vsti's and arrangements. That makes us better in general, imo.
Now the track is very cool and well constructed. Of course I liked the acoustic guitar bits the most, ha, but overall I think you have a really decent track here. Nice one PBJ!
For a 4 track recording, this sounds pretty dang good! I've been wanting to head to Nepal, India and/or Tibet the past few years and listen to the wonderful music that is so trance inducing over there. Then I hear this and it makes me want to head to Washington State instead, haha! This is really something else Sean.
I've liked the older material you sent me a while back and I will be dl'ing this so thanks, it will be enjoyed, trust me. Thanks again for sharing!
Ha - I sent you the link to probably the ultimate Washington State trance inducting music, so yeah you'll probably want to plan a trip out here. I'll hook you up with some dungeness crab, too!
The Anak Pisang project was a true joy to have been a part of, and I actually just sent the boys a thank you note for what they taught me musically back then. Really glad you enjoyed this one, Wayne. Cheers - Sean
Yeah, I'm pretty happy with it, especially considering the 4 tracks thing. I'm not used to limiting myself to that amount, but I geuss it is a useful practical skill to have.
I remember those days back in the late 80's and 90's recording on 4 track cassette and 8 track reel to reel decks. Editing a track was nearly impossible but back then that's what we did to record. Emotional piece, especially after reading the description and knowing what the piece was written about. Nice one!
Jason has been one entertaining, original talent on the loop, certainly has his own way of expressing life. The track is dark and deep, ya, Barry nailed it, big Floyd sound here, waiting for Gilmore's lead.ha
Hey Wayne..yeah mate! Dola has it,whether it's his laissez-faire style or stepping off the curb flow the guy is f--king entertaining, and in this business that's golden..cheers your homie buddy Dave ;)
So this is how it's done, nice! I don't listen to much hip hop but do listen every now and then. Technically I can say that the mix is even, some cool vocals and backups as well. Sounds pretty cool to me. Thanks for sharing!
thanks for reviewing! it might take awhile for me to make a song out of all of the samples you sent me cuz finals are coming up... but i will eventually get around to them! thanks for sending them
Progressive rock huh? I think cool is fitting, ha! Once again you put together another wonderful piece. Liked the different sounds of the guitar in this one. A nice combination of instruments create a fantastic scene, from a city, which is a nice title btw. Always a pleasure!
This really does have a feel of several genres, that's good, imo. The piano has a cool offbeat feel to it, really sounds cool when everything is going on. It has a jazzy type feel to it, you know, the kind of song where musicians are just jamming live and getting into it, too cool!
Thanks Wayne.
Ah yes Hurricane. You know I have a good friend in Phoenix who has been relentlessly insisting I give that one a try for some time now. I really like Hurricane a lot and I do enjoy mimicking the way Bob goes about his phrasing and such. It's a blast. Plenty of signature vocal trademarks to mess with. I also dig applying vocal styles and elements of John Lennon, George Harrison, The Rutles of course. I borrow from Springsteen, Hendrix, Stephen Stills, Greg Lake, etc. Something about their vocal approach makes the story even more intriguing. I guess it is indeed time to finally jump in and see what I can do with Hurricane. Thanks for the nudge, the props, your time and positive spirit.
Seeking out my dark shades, Dylan hat and harmonica harness now.

Lots of cool guitars in this track. I like the singing and the the ooo's and aaah's! haha This is very catchy and your production keeps getting better all the time. Great one my friend, your project is shining with this one added!
I love that you like the u-a. When I came, I thought of all the choirs of Dudua, I've heard ... and that's it. Thanks, this project is running, but in the next, you and I see the faces
You really push boundries with your music Sean, and Salook, well he's another one, haha!! You guys together make a new age tag team that can't be beat. I see you call it world beat dub, I can't really make any distinction as to what it is or isn't, other than it's a very cool track to listen to!
Look forward to hearing what happens next with this track. Pretty cool so far!
Yeah, collabing with Salook is a real treat for me. That guy's more talented than he realizes, and his contributions to this one have really made it what it is. We're in the process of doing a radical revision to this one now, and hopefully we'll pull it off. Prepare for definite advancing of dubbiness behind this one. Glad you enjoyed the listen, Wayne! Thanks for giving it a review!
The pedal steel sounds great and I'm glad to hear someone else play some mandolin here. This has a cool southern rock feel to it. The mix is great, as usual. Really enjoyed listening to this track, such high quality.
So are you working less now? I remember you saying before you were working countless hours each week. Hope you have more time to put into tracks like this!! Thanks Randy for putting this up and sharing your work, always a pleasure!
Thanks so much for the review and am glad you enjoyed the country song. The mandolin part wasn't speedy or anything, but filled in nicely.
As far as work...I am retired now finally. So I have more time to do whatever I want to. No more waking up at 4am.
So more time for music now and other things in life I have been missing out on.
Thanks again for your comments. I'll have another tune up in a month or less. (Rock or Blues)

Kate Lesing is used often here in mixes but I always hear something new, never any repeat tracks. It's a cool track and I agree with Spiv about the bass, it rocks and really makes it move along, adding a bit of an edge to the track. Nice one Trax!
Ya Dave, this has a certain groove where the drums allow the bass(you)to work it's magic and create a great bed to lay quite an interesting guitar track on top of. I'm not hearing a hip hop vibe as much as a funk fusion feel but it sure makes you want to hear it a few times. Production sounds great, vocals stand out nicely, very cool track indeed. Always look forward to a new one from you!
Hey Wayne..cool mate...yeah it's mainly funk but the vocals were Hip Hop originally...lucky when I strolled into that neighborhood I had my bass with me! lol...cheers mate Dave
I liked this. Thinking....maybe lowering the guitar a bit, things are overdriven in places. Then I think the vocals will fall into place better. Needs some rework but the idea is there, keep at it! I think you have a nice voice.
thanks a lot of stopping by, and for liking it, still busy with more takes in the spirit of, thinking about to put it on a EP/CD.
But i am glad you like it, also here i am thanking you for a open mind
