Your production quality has been
consitantly off the charts on every
track of yours I've listened to. Wow!
Faves are almost automatic with your tracks.
Hi my friend, coming from you it's a great compliment, I always try to have a certain musical and sound quality (even if it's not always successful, lol!), I think that the first notes and the sound must be "catchy" to go to the end of the track! Thanks again for listening my friend
Michael
I didn't get 3 sec into the track
before I had to go to the comments.
More in 2:38 sec.
Just like Wayne, I hear some Doors, but
that out front Guitar and occidental FX
is all you. Beautiful beautiful track. I
wasn't looking at the waveform while I was
listening. I had really hoped what was sounding
like the end of the track wasn't the end of the track
but.......
Great track. Faved.. te rangimarie from the topside...
Tumeke Mr Jynxz and peace to you too! Love your comment. I really wanted to sing on this but could find neither time nor inspiration. But I reckon Pseudoble came up with the goods to help me out, as he often does. Och aye.
You are a writers writer.
I can feel the honesty in
every track I've ever heard
of yours. It's like you can translate
what you think into music with such ease.
Over the years I feel like I know you, just
from hearing your music.Always sounds LIVE...
I write music for me to enjoy. If others do than that's a bonus to me. If I put something together that isn't working for me than I know others probably won't dig it either.
I like writers that write simple straightforward songs like Eddie Spaghetti of the SuperSuckers or John Prine and Johnny Cash. Telling good stories comes across as honest music if you can get the listener to buy into the story you are selling as the singer.
Straight to the comments Mate.
I absolutely love the games you
play with rhythm. It's very thought
provoking. You take elements that you
would'nt expect to hear together, then you
put them together leaving the listener to
wonder why they didn't get it before (if that
makes sense). In my opinion trippy music sounds
more organic.A kind of "Electronic Soulmusic"
The energy is crazy on this track.
I've been listening to your portfolio
here on LM. You got the "Organ bug" bad,
you work a poor B3 to death:-)
I got a big kick out of the change @4:40
It was totally unexpected. The Outro starting
@ about 5:22 is the kind of controlled chaos I
live for.
Rob. Thanks for the stop by and fave. I confess about the organ bug. Yep, got it real bad. Your reaction on the elements that popped is always appreciated. TTYL.
I see you are going to be one of those LMers that
it only takes me about 3or4 sec into the track to know
It's a must hear. I'm really lovin the way you riff on the
Guitar. I don't know how I missed your tracks up till now. I
am enjoying your very, very, smooth Jazz.
Thank you JYNXZ, for the overwhelming comment and listen. I'm an Old School player that know if you can grab the ear with in 30 seconds of a track, you will more than likely get a complete listen. I try to tell a musical story when I'm Riffing. Feel is everything in Smooth Jazz. Thank you again for the time and listen. PEACE. T576 OUT.
OMG Robbie! You know that English is not my mother tongue, but I assume that "killing me" is to be understood in a figurative sense. I hope strong. Otherwise I would take the track down immediately...
Nice to hear from you and big thanks for the support.
Peace from Neanderthal,
Micky
Did you do the Bass on this track?
I hear you doing some wild Keyboard
stuff on this track. Your Vocals and
Guitar work are totally on point. You
can't go wrong with a Joe Funktastic sample.
All the parts on this track fit together perfectly...
Great track. Faved.. PEACE... TTYL:-)
You have been missed, my friend.
Yes, a lot happens it is not just Maj2 and music without borders too.
Thanks for that Robbie.
Glad you like it.
Thanks for the fave too
Maj
It's a blast from the past!
You had some hardcore stereo
separation going on. The Synth
reminds me of the sounds you get
from the Mini or Micro Moog love it...
Great track (then and now). Faved..
Didn't forget to hit the button this time:-)
It was a bunch of Mods that emulated older tech circuitry (an actual synth not samples). Then it was arranged in a tracker program. I often used multiple software back then.
I like the suspense in the intro.
The Guitar is soulful and the Vocals
put me in the mind of the singer for "Dire
Straights" loved it. If I just had to do something
different in this track; I think, I wouldn't be as hard
core with the stereo separation, especially for the keys.
I (my opinion) would have given the Piano and Guitar a little
nudge towards the center.
Ha yes, you're right about the panning! I generally try to get the music right before thinking about the mixing - however in this case I'd actually added a "utility" which added to the stereo image which probably makes it worse :D
I'll fix that one first :)
Thanks a lot and thanks for enjoying!
This track sounds very live.
It would be easy to believe
that you recorded this in a
lounge. Of course it's clean
as hell, all the tracks of yours
that I've heard have been studio
quality.
That's super sweet of you to say so, but if I'm playing the Chicago Westside, I'm making sure I'm playing well before JynxZappa, because once you take the stage, that's a hard act to follow ;)

Never a disappointing moment with
you Cru. This a very upbeat track
in a strange kinda way. That 808
makes you feel like the track is
going to be dark but the Piano
Vox and the underling rhythm
keep the track in a place
that's groovy.
When I make House tracks, I always have this dark sinister bassline, but when you start adding a melody and some pad chords you can really bring it back upbeat if you concentrate on the 7th and 9th chords. It's that contrast I always love in my songs.
It sounds like I hear a "Melotron" on this track.
I really like the 808's and the drive when the 808's
and Drums hit together. The melody is classic almost
Cinematic.
Great track. Faved..

Hey Robbie.
Sorry mate, I have been a little hidden due to health issues but hopefully, I'm back now.
Many thanks for your kind feedback.
I am glad you liked it too.
I really appreciate the faves too.

Pre-"Wall" "Floyd"?

Great track. Faved..

What's up BofD,
I'm really feelin
the Psychedelic's
in your melodic as well
as rhythmic progressions
on this track. It feels
like something Zappa and Yes
would have made if they played
together. That change @ 3:18 almost
made me want to do some shrooms to get
the full effect.
Great track. Loved it! Faved..
PEACE from the far East... TTYL....
Thanks for listening and commenting. I was thinking 70s prog rock meets early 80s fusion, with modern production quality, so Zappa and Yes are perfect compliments.
I was about to say "Mark does lo-fi".
Then the Tower of Power showed up. Syncopation is a understatement, I knew the Drums were going to be "Nasty Funky" on this one and you delivered.
The Keys were extra tasty especially @ 2:34ish.
The outro is smokin.
This track definitely has a spot in your top five.
Great Track. Faved..
PEACE from the East...
Rob! Yup! If our brother dimestop can do pop, you better believe I'm doing lo-fi! At least a few bars worth, LOL:). Nasty drums? Absolutely! Remember, I started playing Mama's pots and pans on the kitchen floor. Thanks for your continued support. It means a lot. TTYL
This is not what I expected
after reading the description.
Sounds top shelf. I really like
the Violin and Guitars. The Drums
really keep the track movin and the
Vocals came out crisp and clear.
I've been trying to put together a "Ambient"
track for forever. The Feeling you get from this
track is hard to put into words.
That was the fastest 3:39 ever. I could have listened
to this track on loop all night.
I don't know where you have to go inside your head to get
this but, keep doing it.
Too much Jynx, thanks a lot. I don't generally start anything with a specific idea in mind but this one I had been thinking about an Eno/Bryne track called Mountain of Needles off the bush of ghosts album. Didn't turn out anything like it but it was kind of the inspiration. Really appreciate your support and feedback man, much appreciated.
