Nice swing on the drums dude, cool organ youve used on the track, everything fits together really well, even got the old school Marshall Jefferson 303 in there.
Could maybe use a few FX and things for the transitions but apart from that its a nice track dude, all you need now is someone like Daryl Pandy to smash the vocal and complete the whole chicago house feel :)
Nice track, the melodies are really great and all work really well together.
The only things i would probly change is, the synth pad that starts the track off is a little too weak to be the first thing you hear in the track. try making another copy of the pad and push it forward or back a couple of milli-seconds. Pan them a little left and right to create some stereo width and put a little bit of mild flange or chorus on them, bounce off a copy of them and add some distortion to mash them up. cut everything below about 300hz on the ditorted version and put them low in the mix below the others.
Also the kik drum could use a bit of work. try layering up some samples from any of the vengence sound collections, i was also taught a wicked little trick from someone right here on looperman, and that is to layer a quickly enveloped closed hi-hat over the kik low in the mix to help it cut through. if you dont have any of the vengence collections try sampleing a clean kik from Taio Cruz as he does alot of similer stuff to this track and it should fit in well.
Wicked track tho dude and with a couple of changes here n there its gonna be fire :)
The trumpets are wicked and really give the track a anthem feel..
I would probly raise the volume of the vox by a couple of db, and make a few multi track harmany takes, maybe 2 or 3 left and 2 or 3 right on the vocal parts you want to stand out.
also there are lots of pop's and splosives. i would probly recommend a pop shield for the mic, or failing that, pull a pair of tights over a coat hanger and hang it infront of the mic to stop the air hitting it so hard.
hello!
I listen to your tracks and i wanna say that they are really good! I like reggaeton very much. and your track has the synths! And i like that in reggaeton tracks. thanks for your comment. :) bye!
Nice track dude, really liking your choice of sounds and the arraingement is sweet, ahhh who cares if it takes age's to get into it. its suppose to be mixed in anyways, lol.
The only thing i think the track could be missing is a defineing moment, you know, a section of the track where the drums drop out, all the pads swell up, the leed comes in and the chord progression really gets to show off for a few bars before filtering back down again to the groove. Kinder like Axwell's recent remix of temper traps.
Hehehe, thank you so much for the compliments! I have been watching the Mighty Boosh lately, maybe I took inspiration from them without realizing it. I really appreciate the support!
As Acrylic said, the drums are a little 80's R&B and the stuff youd find on the Vengence electro cd are superb and would deffinately help out.
The only thing i could probly recommend is to try and use quite a few loops in your tracks for the time being, and work on your sound designing. e.g.
pull some drum loops into your Daw, start them all off, and then over the top of them really spend a good bit of time trying to replicate the sort of sounds you hear on electro tracks. saving them as presets as you go.
Maybe do a day on leed lines, then a day on pads and strings, a day on bass's E.T.C..
That way when it comes to making you track you have a whole host of ready to go presets that all fit the style your doing.
Some people would probly recommend you do it the other way round (drums first then presets) and to be honest drums are one of the most important things in a track but both ways are fine, im just giving you the version that worked for me.
The reason im recommending this is because before you know it you will be able to master all the tools to get you well on the way to beat making heaven just think of it as the Audio version of the Karate Kid "Wax on, Wax off" :)
Thanx for that pal, i will spend a couple of weeks improving my loops ect like i said im a complete beginner and was a bit hasty to add some songs. i will get back too you later in the month with some new bits
Altho a few things i would deffinately consider changing would be too remove the drums altogether as they are way outa time and a little distracting.
And open you mouth a little more when you sing, your key is ok but your tone is really low so you need to open up you mouth or the words dont form propperly.
Nice composition tho fella. if you need any help with drum programming or sounds or anything really, just gimme a shout and ill be more than happy to help you out as much as i can:)
I really look forward to hearing this in the future as it grows into a fully fledged track :)
There were a few sound's in there tho that didnt seem to go with the rest, they sounded like they were kinda tacked on, really detracted from the rest of the awesome track you had made, dont think it was the melodies they were playing just think its the sounds chosen and there volume, sorry dude...
Sadly im a little out of options, im got trillogy the other day but when i render it its always a halfstep out of sync :( ugh this is toxic 4 from image line doin the basslines but they didnt cut it dry so there is a lot of distortion on it. im trying to fix trillogy cause its got some great sounds. maybe then ill fix this. Thanks for the critisism i really do apreciate it.
Loving the vibe and the sound, the composition is spot on too.
The only things i would maybe change would be to drop the vocals volume by about 3 to 6db and try to get a good warming plugin like psp vintage warmer or t-racks and put it on the master to make the 2 gel a little better as they sound a little independant at the moment, altho that could be due to the volume being a little high.
Also at 1:18 when the track breaks down i was convinced you were going to came in with a basshunter/Ultrabeat lead line, woulda sounded superb after the beautifull melodic build you had made.
Please dont take anything iv said in a negative way, its all ment constructively and i really like this track.
Nice mellow track here kinda reminds me of Dario G's stuff.
The builds and drops are great and i really like the way the piano comes in.( im always doing a similar thing, love piano's lol)
I would probly say the piano could use with being layered up with another one with a slightly higher tone or try a boost between 3 & 7 hz on the piano youve got on there already because sounds a little bit like the top end is low in volume. failing that, layering up with a harp works wonders and little boosting at 10hz will give it sparkle.
Also the bass wasnt really my cup of tea when the track first started because it felt like it lacked a little body, but after everything else was in, it sounded spot on and worked really well with the rest of the track.
lol thanks man, ye i mainly produce hardcore, but currently my mate Nigel Neptune got speaking to Pete Martine in la mars bar in manchester, he said that he will send over some vocals to work with, so anyway Pete gave him a call from new york and said he's just recorded Samantha Fox's cover of Blondie - call me, and sent the vocals over, Nige then sat down and started working on a hard trance tune which i composed some melodies for, then i came home and some idiot was telling me that hardcore is easy to produce and trance is harder, so i kinda guess i proved him wrong :D
if i had to mention anything else i would say to shove a long tailed snare in there on the parts that would be the chorus and try and stay away from stock vst sounds. they tend to sound a little generic.
One of the hardest things to get in production is how to make a vocal shine and your music really does make the vocal shine and it all works really really well together.
The track changes enough to make sure it doesnt get stail at any point at all and your chord structure is bang on the money.
Hi there dude, im kinda new to looperman too, its a cool site mate you'll love it :)
wicked progressive track dude really really love the drums, they have a great swing to them...
And your use of DVickers accapella is rite on dude.. the moving of the chourus timing threw me off at first but im kinda liking it that way now, lol...
Dude.... this track is heavy... ReignNYC is rite about the sample being a lil loud but the track is really good man.
I think all you may need is something with a bit of an analog feel to it like PSP's vintage warmer on the master to make the vox gel a little better with the track cause they sound a little clean and independant at the mo..
Yet another cracking track. what synths you use? sounds like the Z3ta from cakewalk, if u dont have it download the demo dude its a bad boy synth, lol :)
Oh n i know a few vocalists in the Pool and i think they would like your stuff, if your interested lemme know n ill make some calls..
Nice track dude, loving all the elements you've put in there..
i would probly make the break down @ 1 min a little sparser, and just have some white noise in there instead for a build to the drop back into the track.
