Really great track... you two should be very proud, this sounds like its lifted from a chill out Armin van buren album.. loved the whole thing. once the stems on this are mastered its gonna be a killer for shore (you like the little play on words there?, sea, shore... :)
If i beg very nicely could i remix it? PLLEEAAASSSEEEEE :)
Thanks for sharing cant wait to hear it in the trance charts WOO WOOOOOOOO......
THX...for your review...
oh no...never...im not a big fan of remixing my stuff...specialy this one...i will release it next year...and all will be copyrighted...
if you like this one sooooo much..just contact me...i will send you a copy :)
cheers...JW...
A heck of alot better produced than 90 of the grime stuff iv ever heard..
Its just missing a couple of touch's to lift it.
Smidge or reverb and delay on the piano.
Turn up the volume and Pan the strings about a bit, so if 2 of them are the same in frequency content, bung 1 a bit left and 1 a bit right this would also give you more room for the piano's.
Also try some on the beat left right panning of the pizzi strings.
Drums were spot on in sound quality, loved em.
I master alot of Bassline 4x4 stuff and grime so if you want (not saying it needs it) i would get this up to mail out standard for you bro..
Great track. get yourself a singer and start sending stuff off to cameo and a few others on 1xtra.
Great Track and melodies.. really choc'd full of good ideas.
Some of the sound choices Kinda take the track a little off keil and the kick maybe shouldnt be ducking the high end stuff out but a really nice track... liked it alot.
Really nice track here.... very very good vocal aswell.
The only things i could really offer some constructive comments on would be that the track does sound a little one level all the way through, it dont change much at all, i dont think its down to the track needing any more sounds chucked in it, i just think its a arraingement and build up thing, Maybe a teenie bit of automation on the bass would change this or occasionally opening the bass filter and release before a drop would give the track pace into the next verse/chorus or whatever, also bringing in the guitar more here n there would deffinately spice the mix up a little.
I always comment on other people work the way i hope others would comment on mine so i really Hope you havent taken any of the comment in a negative manner, it is not ment that way at all.
Really nice track you have got here fella, loved it. Everything sounds like it belongs together and all the elements compliment each other.
The vocal Kinda done my nut in a bit, but thats prob just me, lol.
A couple of things tho..
It really does sound like youve taken Fruity Loops as far as it can go, if this was to have been made on another platform e.g. Cubase, Logic, Ableton, Sonar it would be Amazing. Its just one of those things with Fruity it always sounds like a fruity tune, due to the poor sound engine onboard.
Also Try layering up the Bass with a sub sine wave as the bass sounds seem to need a teeny bit more low end.
Like i said tho fella really liked this track, ta for sharing :)
Great track Bro.. really good use of elements. they all compliment each other superbly.
Dont suppose you would want a remix of this little gem would you? Because just listening to it has given me some great Timbo'esq ideas.
Brilliant track tho fella, thanks for sharing :)
Nice track man, really good build up and nice use of complimentary sounds and effects..
The Bass is indeed big and bouncy, lol.
Altho its panned quite hard rite and sounds a little strange in this position as its such a low frequency sound. I try to use the rule that the higher the frequency the wider it should be either stereo width or panning wise. so that sound i would plonk rite bang in the middle of the mix, maybe even with a bit of side chain compression to make sure it dont interfere with the kick.
At the moment the kik is pitched quite low and is hitting at about 42hz which is a little to far down. try cutting everything below about 30/40hz and use a eq to pull down 42hz by about 4/5db and raise up 62hz & 110hz by about 2db.
Also layering the kik up with a fat hat and snare with a chunky bottom end would make it cut through the mix like a hot knife through butter.
Hope you dont mind the comments... its all ment constructively..
Like the track tho dude, cant wait to hear somemore
This whole thing is superb, your ear for composition and sound is stunning. sounds like a chill out piece from incognito with a hint of ol skool Maxwell in there too.
The only think i felt it was lacking was some really high end sparkle, you know like an occasional run across some high end chimes, but me saying that is me just being really really picky
Dont know if you ever bump the bpm up but if you do give me a shout id love to do a soul house track with you.
Thank you for sharing this track bro, gonna fav it.
only thing i picked up on that i would probly alter slightly would be to chuck in a couple of changes to the drum rolls here n there as the main elements of the track dont change to much so you need to bring elements in and out of the drums to keep the track pressing forward, kinda like an un-relenting powerful engine driving the track, just when you think its already at full pelt, you change gear again and your off again.... if you kinda get what im saying, (yes i know i talk bo11ox, lol) :)
yeah not a bad track at all bro.. the only things i could hear that i would change is the guitar, main piano riff, and piano runs are all mostly on the right hand side, they need to be panned to the other side a bit because it makes the track sound lop sided a little.
Hiya dude.. kool sounding ol skool jungle track youve got here fella.... all it needs is a bit of low and high pass eq'ing in parts and your sorted :)
The only other thing i could here that i would change is to put a eq on the bass line and cut everything below about 300htz and layer it up with a sub sine wave with everything cut off above about 500htz. also running the higher bassline throught the scream unit in reason would give it some bite...
Thanks for the feedback and tips mate. I am still fiddling with the compression and eq levels and I will take a look at what you suggest. As for the basslines (actually there are 7 bass layers being used on and off here) I can say that 4 of them are already going via scream. I think it sounded cleaner when straight out of Reason but it also sound FAR to narrow so I ended up compromising. I still have a lot to learn as far as the mastering in Reason goes. Again thanks for the feedback ;)
Yeah not bad.. could use a few tweeks here n there..
Try making a copy of the main synth and pull it back or forward by a few milliseconds to give it some stereo width.
Also some of the chords are out of key in parts.
Try putting an eq on every track to cut as much bass & treble off the sounds as you can because the mix is a little muddy.
Like i said tho not a bad track dude, cheers for sharing :)
preciate d love, and i feel what u saying, but i threw this project together using a cheap 7+ year old computer mic (thats not for recording),this is only a ruff draft. This is what u call guly
Very nice track dude, bass is great melody's are also very good all the way through.
A couple of bits i may change if it was me would be to lower the speed to 128bpm (it sounds like about 132/135 ish) also most of the sounds you have used are trance based (no bad thing at all, gives you your own sound) and because of that it loose's the electro house feel when the melody's come in.
Try playing with the release times of your leeds to make the track build up before drops..
Also try pushing the hats forward by about 8 milliseconds to make them shuffle and a reversed crash before the kick every then and again will make the drums pump a bit..
I hope you dont mind the above waffleing, and please dont take any of it negative, if anything it means i was really into what you were doing :)
Nice track here dude with alot of potential, great opening nice lick good sounds,
But... when the track changes at 49 seconds it seems to loose alot of what was keeping your attention and the riffs seem to not fit with what went before.
Please dont take it in a negative mannor because up until then i was bobbing my head like a goodun :)
Dude what a cool track, it was like someone rubbing your back, getting you all comfortable and then suddenly hocking some spit in your eye and screamming "AVVV ITTTTTTT" rite in your face lol
All the elements fit really well together, sounds alot like the superb Ryan Leslie.
The only thing i could pick out was the kik is taking the track over 0db and distorting it a little bit but apart from that its really really good fella, loved it :)
Wicked track dude... god knows why youve only had one review cause the tracks gold..
The only things it could maybe use is a couple of volume n eq tweeks here n there.. (try putting the eq on your hats flat and then using a shelf eq lower everything below about 2/3 khz by a few db and then turn it up :)
Altho alot of things youve managed here i cant do so maybe i should shush, lol.
