on Touching in the Dark by CalifKen
Those pulsating pads - to die in ecstasy for! In listening to Rave tracks, this is exactly what I had in mind. The drums certainly could have more presence, but that's a minor point in the overall impression of this piece. Three people are in my living room as I write this, and everyone is either tapping feet or bobbing heads. All validating what I already feel about this one. Very, very nice!

on Lonely is the night by FrenchKid18
This does have a bit of that New Wave flavor - I think where it works best is how your vocals weave it all together. Love the effects you've processed your voice through. Very, very cool track!

Thanks for reviewing again. The vocals is what i like best in the song as well but i'd like to give the chorus a little more punch.

on joy ride by RickCaruthers
The guitar really carries this song. Really captures a feeling you don't get on commercial radio, if you know what I mean. Really great work!

Thank you for taking the time to review N0mad23.
I guess it's not very "mainstream"... and that's a good thing I hope.

on JAZZY P by Peres
Like the arrangement here a lot. The 'dance' between rhythm guitar and bass is happening. Very nice indeed.

on Move your Feet by RadiumX
Live the fusion aspect and how it challenges the boundaries of several genres. Man, that sax is amazing.

on Notes on a breeze by SLAPJOHNSON
The title is perfect with this one - so breezy and light it's easy to drift away while listening. Great choice with improvisation here, as the sax both carries the melody, and the spirit of the song. The spirit here wouldn't have full voice if it was a fixed melody. Very nice.

Dig the message. Good mix and arrangement. Like how it's got a kind of watery feel behind it all.

Fine line between punk and folk sometimes - but there it is.

Really like this one. It's got spirit and spunk.

on The Such and Such Blues by Crims
I like this - the title combined with the sound brings images of strange circus performance pieces. I can see this as the soundtrack for several different themes. Nice one.

Nice fusion of different musical forms. I'm with CalifKen on the guitar - it really adds a different dynamic in a lovely way.

In West Africa, there's a genre called "Modern/Traditional" that this is really reminiscent of. Definitely a brilliant fusion of old and new musical forms. I really like this!

on Symphony Reggaeton by ELLEPROJECT900
It's such a strange juxtaposition, I wasn't sure it would work (based on the description and intro) - but it does. Why wouldn't it?

Music is cool, as it's not an abstract language, so different "dialects" (genres) can speak together and still make sense.

This is very, very cool! The fusion of very different genres is entirely seamless, and it makes something memorable and unique.

Faved.
