This is a great song right from the start (and a new favorite of mine) - some great ambient sounds, reverse effects and so on. Excellent arrangement, great lyrics - very well recorded and performed - I love the voice. All in all, this is great stuff!! -super collaboration guys.

Thank you, I'm glad you like it. It was so much fun recording it, we did the final vocals in a hotel room in Åre – just after a freestyle moguls event. It was around 11:30 pm when I realised that the people in the room next door probably were trying to sleep. Anyway, thank you for stopping by an giving such a kind review.

Thanks Jamie. I have been trying to convince every band I have been in for the past 20 years to do this song only to be ignored. Decided to just dive in and have at it myself. Thanks for the encouragement.

Nice work Jimm! The Loop is probably the last place on earth I would expect to hear a Dylan cover! great job on the vocals.

Thx. Jamie, yeah, I'm starting to wonder if I'm going to get in trouble for posting these tracks. I thought the tracks section was for songs of any kind but it looks like it's mostly electronic stuff. Thx. for the review :). I'm going to listen to some of your stuff later.

on Na -MStokes Collab- by Vicen
In agreeance with SpivKurl Nice upbeat groove! The start of the song caught me unawares - the ambient backdrop starts very quietly (hence I turned the volume up on my system). The resultant serge of sound as the song proper gets going, nearly blew me out of my seat! Let no one say you boys don't know how to get the listeners attention. Top job fellas.

Jamie.

Oh, Michael is unique to catch our attention, the beginning of the song we owe it to him. A great contrast to start strongly. I have the luck that Michael understands me and a collaboration with him is like a stroll. I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for your feedback.

on Digital Aboriginalism - Osmosis and the Veil by n0mad23
Reading through some of the reviews this track has garnered, I am taken by John Boutilier's notion of a "Sonic Safari". The idea of a hunt for new sounds and textures has a resonance with the search all of us on the Loop are engaged in! This track demonstrates that pursuit. May the quest continue...

Touche. For me the site's been really good in both identifying who my audience is and being validated in pursuing new sounds and context. Maybe the Grail for us is a yet undiscovered sample or loop! Cheers!

The horn stabs are super tight and some great tones you both have going on in the solo's. My only comment like others have already said might be about nudging the bass up a touch.

on reCycling - Incandescent Shivaism by n0mad23
This is a great listen. I'm always drawn by percussion and this offers subtle stereo intricacies - paradiddles "all-around" - quite literally.

Jamie.
n0mad23
n0mad23 replied Unknown
Nice one, Jamie - you've taught the wordsmith a new word. The paradiddles you're hearing are actually my translating the hand-drum approach to snares - body memory driven bass and rim slaps. Funny with the real musicians I've performed with, it's a word that has never come up. Really glad you enjoyed listening to this one. Cheers!
