on Choral Lament by truegrit
The vocal samples in this are superb! Nice work.

Jamie.

Hi Jamie, thanks for the review, the vocal tracks took a lot of mixing, using soprano, alto, bass and boys choir, problem is some of the sample levels vary quite a bit, in amplitude.
Thanks again.

on The Irony Of Confusing Roman Streets by madamski
Sometimes an interesting title will pull me in to listen to a piece of music in a genre I might not normally listen to, as was the case with this. I'm glad I gave it a spin. Nicely produced and mixed. Welcome to the Loop by the way!

on Zendi Kabu by Spivkurl
Great track Spivkurl! I dont really know what breakbeat is but it sounds like a contemporised version of Calypso music to me. Infectiously catchy and you have used some excellent sounds. Star Trek has provided a great title too!

Jamie.
Spivkurl
Spivkurl replied Unknown
Thanks Jamie! Yeah, I barely know what breakbeat is either... ha ha! It does have a little calypso vibe to it, doesn't it? Glad you found it to be catchy! Gotta love Star Trek for inspiration! Thanks for the review and the fave!

on Hektor-Thillet and The All-Stars LIVE by goosemeyer
Along with all the other reviewers here - I love it! The opening chords reminded me of Van Morrisons "Moondance". This is great - top job!

Thanks Much Jamie..

You hit it right on the head. My only real jazz experience is playing stuff like Steely Dan. My influences for this were Moondance, Ruby Ruby by Steely, and of course, the brilliant brian setzer.

it means a lot coming from you, for I was stealthily studying your page for some insight.

on Runaway on Ukulele by JuniorTheBeatMaker
Stripped right down to the basics - there's a lot to be said for this kind of simplicity (a kind of Unplugged verion of an Unplugged version). The vocal and the Ukelele are nicely recorded so it works great just as it is.
