Apreciate that..it was actually a beat that i made around the hook. THe hook was an acapella i found on this site, and just built the beat to match, then i threw on some vocals i had sittin in my computer from an earlier track, and i wound up with this. Ill be re-recording the track for my album, and ill be sure to post the final version.. and again thanks for the compliments, if it attracts good thoughts from someone in ur genre, then im doin somethin good...ha
Great stuff. Blues? again, you have a catchy Spanish motif on this. This is very Ennio Morricone ( the good, the bad and the ugly etc ). There is a guy on Looperman ( Randall822 ) who does stuff like this - check out his track "Western Showdown" I think you'll like it. Cheers.
Thanks for the reviews and your kind words. Only a couple of people have ever heard my music and given any feedback, which, I guess is one of the things I like about this site. I bought a mandolin about a year and a half ago and now my music has a Spanish sound. I never played anything remotely Spanish sounding before that. Kinda wierd, huh? I'm going with it....
Nice solid beat behind this. Theres a couple of nice chords in it and I like the synth bass sound - good stuff. A lot of my tracks are inspired by sci-fi, seems to be a common theme on looperman - cheers jfw.
Thanks man. It's a little out of my element but I wanna try and branch out to more than just on genre of electronic music. I don't want to be just a hip hop producer. I produce all genres with live sound so I guess it's time I tried something new. This was my first reason song and after hearing it for the first time in a while it inspired me.
Great track Softface. Love the instrumentation choice, the vibes are really hooky and Gizella's voice is perfect for this. I think this sounds really commercial in a very alternative way. Instant fave and download
Thanks for listening to my track. before you mentioned the name I had never heard of the guy. So I looked him up and I do like his stuff. Believe it or not until earlier this year I had never made a jazz track before. I nomally produce hiphop and rnb. I just woke up one day with a jazz tune in my head and they just kept comiming. Thanks again for taking the time to listen and comment.
Thanks jfw - it's my attempt to subvert the World Music genre while simultaneously replicating it. I tried to get representative sounds from every continent without falling into something rather stale. Personally, my favorite moment here is when all but the Reggae drums drop out and Egyptian fiddles fade in. Glad you dug it!
Good stuff. This sounds like it was fuelled by stimulants ( of the legal variety of course ), obviously a man after own heart with regard to excessive coffee consumption. This has your trademark "jumping" beat which adds interest.
Thank you much for the listen! Yeah, I can't get enough espresso... caffiene is often so audible in musical creations. I'm glad you can hear my signature on this one. I appreciate the review and the feedback!
Another nice track, I like your work. This one has all manner of elements combined but I can clearly hear some Joe Zawinul Keyboard sounds and that cant be a bad thing.
