on I Want You/She's So Heavy (cover) by Igorness
Very interesting to listen to this audio artefact. The band is really tight and more than competent. A great track choice, abbey Road was always my favourite Beatles album. I love hearing stuff like this, it gives a bit of insight into looperman members backgrounds and influences and an indication of musical chops. Thanks for posting.

Great track Victor. Love the urban vibe and all the different elements you've combined. I think the mix on this is just fine and if it was me I'd leave it there - job done!

on Nothing Left For You by Badhuman
Nice uplifting funk workout. It's just my opinion but I think a sax or vocal line would round things off nicely - good work.

on Go to the Future by CalifKen
Very experimental vibe with this. The harmony intervals on some of the vocals (fourths )are an unusual and interesting choice. Nice vocoder sound too. very different - good work.

on No More Free Mix 2 by Spivkurl
Very experimental feel to this. Strange meter to it, it kind of lopes or hops along. Is that your wife singing in the background? If it is, she's becoming a staple part of the spivkurl sound. I think your voice could do with some reverb and possibly other treatments, maybe phaser or flanger? - good work.
Spivkurl

Yes it definitely was an experiment. It is 4/4, but with some strange syncopation.

Funny you ask about my wife, because it's not her, it's me. I pitched my voice way up for the background vocals. The sound just worked for me.

The vocals do have some verb, and the backup has some delay and flange. I just tend to go light o the effects... maybe I should turn the FX up a bit.

Thanks for listening, and your suggestions!

Sorry for the delay (school stuff). Haha, thanks. I dunno if I would call this my best work, but it does mark a first for me (what with the Nap Time combination). So I'm def heading in the right direction. Thanks for the time & words. Lates!

on spritual (aadhyatma) by devrajdev
Welcome to looperman. This is a beautiful piece and a rare treat, sice we dont get very much by way of Indian music, (Raga's I believe you call your classical pieces?) on looperman. Either way, I look forward to hearing more of your excellent work.

on Mist of Premonitions by Monodrone
You're right this is very dark and moody. Nice integration of the psychtropic cirle harps loop at the end. Very different to the usual looperman offerings. Nice to see someone experimenting with the orchestral genre.

on Importing Hungry Ghosts by n0mad23
An interesting one. After the the Timpani get going and the other drums come in, it almost sounds as if it were recorded from deep inside a grandfather clock. I guess the clock in my imagined scenario, is located inside a haunted mansion. A very evocative work and one that will give each listener a different set of imagery depending on their personal mindset - great stuff.

jfw - yeah man, I like your description! I hadn't thought of the grandfather clock, but I was trying to impose something somewhat mechanical to distinguish the existence of hungry ghosts as no longer corporal or organic. The traces are there, but it's a different realm entirely. Now I'm really wondering what other imagery this invokes in the various listeners! Thanks for the listen and review!
