on I Make P by dimestop
Hey Paul, I listened to this track and big improvement overall. your voice is so much clearer. That new sm brings out the emotion in your voice. A great journey from shitty setup to this. Your mixes getting good. Lyrics like a mantra. Love this concept of repetition. There's is so much life in your voice, unusual and I pressed the play key :). There are certain ideas I'm gonna copy. I love how you eq vox to become more distant. It feels like the duality in ourself. Different characters trying to find their places and communicating. Love what you doing here.

wow Lu always love to receive a comment of thought from you, your a cool friend i have always appreciated and i know your time is often limited, i invested in a hobby that became a passion and improved my mental health and me as a person, so the money i have spent has been a solid investment because it was me and my health that i was investing in, you can't really put a price on that

on Blindsided by Cyberflares
Hey Robin, what a beautiful composition. Love your minimilastic approach on it. You really got me in intro, hard tacky distorted Piano. But you resolved it beautiful with that low synth and filtered voc. Tempo is really fitting. Bold choice with your drum/perc. You getting ready man. You really understand what an artist needs. You leaving space. I love the lack of transition stuff. You let the instruments be themselves. No annoying sfx.
I'm in love with you mix, look at those beautiful waves. I'm a huge fan of your output. I regrett all the time that we booth not working closer, its my fault. Sometimes it's to painfull for me to record. But man I listened to this track, it touched me. 1000 ideas flashing in my brain. Your like a muse to me. Now I will check out what you made in the last months . Love from a banana

on KEEP IT MOVING by kingmt77
Stankface activated, im a simple man. I just need that bass entry. Your mixes evolved, bold choices. Keep it moving is a celebration of latin inspired jazz. That little skat female thing got me. Crazy Ideas, and you let every section be it self , they never try to outdo each other. Very tastfull use of special fx like wah. Your a humble musician,. In my opinion, don't stop with jazz. I would imiditly buy a whole jazz latin fusion ep from you.

BananaLu! Stankface confirmed!:) It's been a minute. Very good seeing you out and about on the Loop. Gratitude for stopping by and checking this one. Also the detailed critique is invaluable. My mixing and arrangement focus must bring clarity and cohesion between all instruments and timbres and tones. And that because my tracks tend to be busy. Again gratitude for the compliments.

Peace,

Mark

High energy synth action, love your entry. That tempo is superb. I wonder all the time how you can come up with all the melodies ? They always interesting and fitting. Your surprised me how you resolve your chords, it's always a journey. Mix is great you filled the whole eq, on my headphones its warm and full body. Love from a banana

BaoBou replied 20th May 2026 - 2 weeks ago
Thanks for the compliments, they make me blush in a slight yellow hue :D

The melodies... I just jam until I hit something I like. Then the next day I check if still like it and if so, it's a keeper. No idea where there come from !

The chords is something I do on purpose. I have a special love for certain type of chord modulations, and I try to surprise myself every time. If I think I know where it's going, then there's probably a better solution ;)

for the mix, I'm learning! I used to have everything more or less in the same register but as I get more experienced I think I get a better feel for using different areas of the musical spectrum.

It doesn't always work, but when it does I think it also makes for better tracks :)

I just stumbled on your ep chrysalis, I will check it out on Bandcamp. Lovly name. I love your funk guitar and stakkato way of playing. But im excited what kind if story u will tell with your ep. Love from a banana
BaoBou
BaoBou replied 20th May 2026 - 2 weeks ago
Thank you so much my friend. Chrysalis (I'm sure you knew) is the pupa stage between caterpillar and butterfly. Caterpillars are ugly, fat and hairy, then there is this time you can't see what happens and suddenly we have a beautiful butterfly.

I felt that this is sometimes how we grow as musicians or producers. We eat as much as we can, we learn, we try everything, maybe it's ugly, maybe it's hairy, but the wings of the butterfly are already present.

Sometimes all we need is a bit of time to reconsider, grow, rearrange our ideas, try something new and suddenly the chrysalis opens and a wonderful butterfly comes out.

I'm not that butterfly yet... but who knows what might happen and how I can grow in the future. For now I'll keep eating ;)

I'm not even joking. I don't wanna put shade on you. It was a honest and real story. It should be a compliment.. lots of artist screams and it sounds fake. I know what a real scream is, from people who encountered the darkest places. So you should take it as a compliments. Love from a banana

Look, my friend. All of us every single one of us have gone through things in this short life that were not always pleasant. I misunderstood. My English is terrible, just like my music. The performer also has that special quality not simply to sing, but to interpret. That is something completely different. In almost 40 years of playing music, we have met many good singers. But for me, being good is not just about having a beautiful voice. Its about interpreting a song the way you truly feel it inside yourself. That is exactly how Nadine is. She is a very good interpreter, not necessarily just a singer because she has a nice voice. What matters is that she is genuine in her interpretation, and we will miss her since she is leaving to continue her professional journey on another level. Take care. I wrote to you that I really like your music because it feels truly real and honest.

on Spinning Out by Zootman
Zooot zoot, pls don't dig to deep. Intro hit hard, love the guitar layers, Micky did a great support on bass, got a great oomph and for a ballad you need live bass. Syntg action is tastefully and doesn't go into a cheesy area, love that. Fck raw guitar, with the right amount of gain. Love the tone. I'm a huge fan of the singing Zotman, it soothes my soul. What a nice collab, i got a close eye on Mr. Shenari. There are not many spiritual singers around here. Love your style.
Nice production pnnywze. It relaxed and fits the artist. You are truly the collab master for 2 years I try to catch up with him and you did it. I will take this as an opportunity to write you back. Yes I'm down with monsta squad, it's always fun and I love zour energy on those projects. Hit me, if got a beat laying around where I can put something on. I would love to do this. Love from a banana

Hey MC Chris, im getting a clearer picture. Who's that woman ? She's fck amazing screams are real, last time I was in psych ward I encountered similiar one. This one is real. She even got that pop thing. The run on " I breath" is out of this world. It like billie if she went conplety psycho. Beautiful production. Mellow guitar tone, more ambient than chords. Mix is bold and fits that vox centric piece. Filtered drums, great choice. What kind of microphone you were using to capture the whole dynamic from whisper to screams. You got a new fan here. My friend bananaLu, I honestly dont know what style this is that you wrote. In any case, it is not exactly normal. If it is some kind of German joke, then it belongs to the kind of bad jokes you people make. Anyway, our microphones for the vocals have always, been the Audio-Technica AT2050 condenser.

on 1- WHEN THE LIGHT BURNS by LINEARFADE
Listen to it for the last 3 days, wonderful production. Guitar tones works with that 80's stadium drums. Beautiful structures and you kept it dynamic. Lyrics goes well, mythical and you let it breath, sometimes less is more. This a good case. The tone and quality in vox is superb, flawless transition in different styles from spoken , to ballad, to hootin, and then classic rock screams, someone done his homework. Emotional delievery af, with a sprinkle of testosterone. Put this bad boy in an arena and city will burn. This is almost perfect, theres this section when female vox comes in. Maybe cut it a bit and really drag every sylibal in right place, it's annoying I know. Results will be great.
Synth work is tastefull and never to much, love it. But what happend 6 sommers ago. Mystery mystery. When does album come out. For what I'm hearing I can imagine a full blown album with one theme and I want to listen to it.
By the way, how did you encountered me? Im a Ghost.

What happend with you? Im just away for 6 months and you are reborn. The mix is another level, very professionel. I low how you set the bass and and overall balance of layers. You touched my soul, I'm crying because of happiness. when I listened to your demo around february, i knew there is something special inside you. I feel the same as Paul. I'm haunted by this track.... mirrors are lying...your songwriting impresses me a lot. Love from a banana

Hi Banana
So that's all happening in your absence, lol.
From beats to singing.
Your comment touched me.
So sweet of you.
I also think it's a miracle that I can sing this when I feel the right vibe.
Because I've also sung songs just because I wanted to sing, but they're not special because I didn't feel them at the time.
I sang along with you on two of your songs, but I've since deleted them because I wasn't sure if you approved.
Right now, I'm in Spain for eight days, drinking cocktails with my daughter, lol. No music for a while, but I'll be back.

Great mix, really surprised how you managed the low end. You kept it clean but got that raw feeling. Great synth work some fluffy style. recently i thought about what Paul does. I'm deep into Sleaford Mods and my mind was happy that there is a place in people hearts for unusual underground. It remembered me a bit of your style and what is happing in in England music scene. The edits of cyberflares fits your style and booth got something raw and creative. Keep the energy. Your songwriting is getting tighter without losing the mystery. Great to watch your journey and glimps into your world.

Sleaford Mods are a cool band Lu and underground, its great to see my old friend still about and making great music, i got some good lyrical content in the next few tracks, its also the area i am putting more into along with engineering and i think its starting to show with much tighter and cleaner tracks, i will continue giving glimpses of life in song, if you sing the words you feel, it comes across real and to somebody who sings with so much emotion in his work like you thats something you well know anyway, great to see you about
