Paul. Great job here, but this is your best vocal effort yet. Your lyrics are clear, clean, and upbeat with your signature bounce. I also like that creative touch of how you spreaded the intro backing track from hard left in the beginning to gradually bringing every thing to full center. Boss move Paul!. Reading your previous reply, you're having a great time experimenting with side chaining effects for the vocals. Now that's where the real fun begins. The effort paid off quite well. Keep doing what you do, the way you've been doing it. You sound MARVELOUS! Peace.
thanks Mark, i still have alot to learn about music production but feel im ticking along just fine. this was my first effort at side-chaining the fx in, i would normally just use the side slots on the mixer, but was finding i needed more :)) i use patcher which is a fantastic plugin that gives you much more expansion on one slot with lots of control and it gives you a good understanding of how to build the fx, but side-chaining them in from their own mixer track gives you far more control to make things much tighter being able to isolate everything individually and get the levels just right, not bad for a first effort, i intend to improve though now i have a clearer understanding
Yo T....... You better hide that snare! Don't sleep fa real LOL! Your guitar and bass are stepping together! Amazing groove. That synth running in the background with the EP chords is what it's really all about. That reverb too, tho! The drum mix works well. You did your writer/arranger/composer thing with another hit under your belt. Great job, keep 'em coming in HOT. Peace.
MT. your ear for detail is at a high level of listening, and I'm not joking at all about that. So far no one else commented specifically on that background synth. I tried about 10 background synth sounds and melody's before I found that one which captured the mood I was trying to keep the production in. You know how when you use a sound or instrument that changes the mood or feel of a track, because you were excited about a new sound library, then the next day you realize you were TRIPPIN, I try to avoid this at all cost. It's always Great to hear from someone that's genuine. We Gotta Holla. PEACE. T576 OUT.
UE. Class. 1:15 and 1:36 sections are remarkable. Especially the vocal touches. 2:19 trombone solo is over the top. The piano chords and the acoustic bass kept the music exciting all the way through. The air in the mix is a perfect touch and leaves nothing to be desired........FAVED
You always zero in on my favorite sections. I had a great time doing this song. I tried to capture some emotion and "mystery". I'm hoping that came through for the listener and the 3-minute journey. Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment Mark. I look forward to your comments. UE
Hey Bud I apologize to have missed your comments and friendship!! All is well. I am now fully retied from the work force after 50 yrs Now the question at 74 can I make one more LOL We will see!!
BaoBou. The raw character and the jump right in boldness of how you do what you do is admirable all day long. Your musical DNA is obvious and translates wonderfully. To the degree that the in progress/process imperfections, that's naturally present, doesn't really mean a thing. You have a great ear, and you will definitely get to where you need to be with the technical things. Keep going! I thoroughly enjoyed the listen. Peace.
Thanks Mark! It's a bit less raw now... hope you like it!
I'm still not fully happy, but I was able to save more than I thought originally, so that's good :)
monkwee. You do chill quite well. Something about the bass that brought out the very best in the guitar chord’s which for me was a main focal point. One pointer, the exit is ripe for a fabulous ending. Peace.
thank you for the listen and for sharing your thoughts and i agree the song still needs an ending! i hope to mix this one better and hopefully add more :)
Ian! Right out the gate the direction you moved this track is spacious light and fresh. The delayed sax with the vocals is a solid creative touch. And yep I’m totally loving the saturation and the stereo separation. Great staging and presentation. Stellar as always my friend.
Paul I hear you. Yep straight from your heart to the hearts of hearing listeners. What you have communicated here speaks volumes. The matters of the human heart like loss and how we are affected by loss is clearly expressed in this work. The production is open and honest. And the strong point that comes to mind is simply to........ Make the best of every day and Appreciate those we are graced to have with us. Peace
thanks for the listen Mark, and your thoughts on loss. grief can affect you in ways you never imagine and in the case of tragic loss, you never get the answers no matter how deep you look, now im older and have learnt so much on mental health, i now understand my own problems better, i dont hide the fact that my life was seriously affected by it, if you saw me or spoke to me in person you would never know, i hid it for years, i was afraid of it. now im proud to share that i consider myself a survivor, thanks again, i appreciate your time bro
Thanks Mark. How have you been? I'm glad you are enjoying some of the chill. Thanks for the listen and taking the time to comment. I am on the road again, seeing the planet. I'm working on some more up tempo stuff now. I hope all is well with you and yours UE.
