Hi Indie,
i don't know what will give a vocal version but actually, this instrumental version is awesome!
Your bass is unbelievable: a perfect dub groove! About the global atmosphere, seriously, when i heard your track, first time, i wondered me if it wasn't a "high tone" track! i love the dub spirit you developped in this sound! let me tell you that after listening you gave me the temptation to tilt on a dub composition also! i will download it first for me and second to share it with friends who have a dub band.
Hey merci §

Hello Cru,
In it's global aspect, this track is very aerian and really gliding. It's the main thread of this piece. And, Without we expect it, a loop makes its entrance. It creates the break and the moment of its expression move the central line towards something more unexpected, of a little rougher.
As a result, this alternation contributes to capture at each moment our attention and instigates our curiosity. The ingredients of a good piece finally!!
really good track Cru, nice bass (with some sub?), nice vibes and delicious drums line!
During 04:28, i was in a chill out room totally soothing :) thanks!
A big fav for this one

HE Bleep. The fact you point out the aerian sound of the pad is what draws me to Ed's Pads in the first place. They are very complex and sound amazing. With the first pad in the song listening to it gives me this hollow feeling inside of longing for something nostalgic. So I tried to make some of the vocals have a sixties reverb feel (slightly overdriven mike) Sort of Star trek theme (TOS), B52's Planet Claire. to fill that nostalgic hole and yet use moer sounds (Subs, yes) and organ stabs and cool sounding panned drums. This song went through 4 phases but I was happy with the end result.
Cru
A l'occaze j'irai écouter tes autres prods.

Thanks, Bleep.
I do like to keep my tracks short - perhaps too short, but I'm just a fan of pop song-length tunes. I try to say all I need to say in under three minutes.
I appreciate the listen and your feedback - cheers!
wowowowowow!!!!! really nice song, a masterpiece Rob, there's nothing more great than when you listen to a sound and progressively, you leave the reality for having a trip! it's exactly what happened to me with your last track! brilliant Rob! you have a big fav!
Don't worry, cause I did a listen to "Is There Anybody Out There?" and "nobody home" also to "comfortably Numb" and a few others, cause all are great songs.
thanks Joe,
i read in many comments that your track was in a kraftwerk spirit, i agree with that but it was not my own feeling when i listened to it... your voice remembered me some intonations from the wall, Pink floyd. Particularly in the tittle "comfortably Numb". Don't ask me to explain why, it's just a feeling. I listened to your track several times, and each time, i said myself: "there's something from pink floyd in this one"
be sure i will listen to it again and again, it's really a good track!
Hey Bleep,
mostly i got the connections to other music stuff much later then the listeners. Often i can't understand there feelings but i always go to youtube and do a listen to the suggestions. So i found sometimes something i never heard before and/or i listen to some (mostly) good stuff i already know and like. Same comes with this Pink Floyd feeling. I am in love with the The Wall album almost 37 years now and i am happy that you send me to youtube cause i had some nice listen. But for me Kraftwerk, Pink Floyd, PJ Harvey and so on are a number to big to be named in a row with me. For my understanding and or feeling i always just do another little Joe Cramer track.
I am delighted that you like this song so well that you have heard it several times already. So i want to say thank you for all the nice words and the feedback and time you invested.
new track, new pleasure! there's something from the new wave period (eighties) in it. Some synth melody remembered me Depeche mode like "i can't get just enough" for example.
Let me tell you that your new friend, Gymnopilus is particularly effective! it's a mushroom name? no? lol
As usual, this track carries your own signature: It's creative with real one concerns of the detail! a big fav for me too!
Bleep, every time that a comment from you arrives, I always find myself eager to respond. Since I try to do those things in the order they are received, sometimes it takes a little while. It does not mean that I was any less eager!
Depeche Mode is definitely an old favorite of mine, though I seem to listen to them less often these days. I know when my wife goes half a bottle of the wagon, we often end up listening to a bunch of their singles. We've been wanting to make a cover album, which would probably include a couple of DM tracks. My personal favorite album of theirs is "Ultra."
You should get a prize for being the only one to identify my new friend as a mushroom! Yes, it is effective most assuredly. I have watched for them on my forest walks for about twenty years, and finally began locating them in late August. With the last patch found, I realised that I had been seeing them in previous years, but had mistaken them for something else. I guess that it is best to err on the side of caution, and wait for experience to catch up with interest.
Trance-like aspects are definitely something which I would admit to having as part of my signature. The types of trance music (and types of trances) which I am influenced by change through the years, but they seem ever present. Even my first album in 2004 had some of my weak attempts to induce trance.
Details are all important in music to me, most especially electronic music. Even a simple performance on an acoustic instrument can impart many minute details, even without intent. A lot of digitally based sound creation methods can be lacking in these sorts of details, which some might call mistakes and remove completely. There is a satisfying challenge in giving this sort of performance "quirk" in a digital method.
Thank you for coming to listen to this one, and leaving your friendly words! Have an excellent full moon!
Hi there!
i was curious to hear this track, i'm not despointed. It's really trippy, even if drums are a little bit linear, the instruments used create a futuristic atmosphere.
Concernant "Drowning In A Bar Of Blue Light", c'est un véritable petit bijou!

wow awesome track here! i'm impressed! it's really relaxing and soothing!
i don't know if it's the same for the others, but especially about the kick, it would be necessary to reduce his basses because there are residues of vibration in my speakers.
i listened it at low level and These vibrations were perceptible!
After listening, my felt on the set is very positive, it's homogeneous and very melodic! Very beautiful inspiration in particular on the lead (flute).
The drums line is totally appropriate! However if things should be modified it's on the structure, the construction. In my opinion, it would be cool to create a break and/or adding cuts to break the repetitive aspect.
Hu, i went forgotten to talk about the angel choir which is delicious, good choice of instruments, nothing to say about the feeling, don't change anything on this point.
For me, Of all the pieces that I listened of you, it's one of the best without a doubts! you have my fav
Hi Bleep,
Thanks for the kind words i shall come back to this later on as i am working on another track now which has an arabic scale which is a bit different. I need to insert a break in this somewhere. We have visitors from France your fellow countrymen nice people best regards. Robbie.
the beat variation make me think that it's a multi genre and not only a chill out track! really good work with a perfect acid touch. Can't say i'm fan but i don't dislike it, it's just special and fortunately, i was in a good mood when i listened to it lol
Glad you were in a good mood to deal with this ambiguous track! I hope to back into something more danceable in upcoming work. Thanks for taking a listen. Regards - Dan
Your new track is pretty good but i will pump up the beat level. May be you can create an effect on it:
from beginning until 0:56 at the actuel lvl and after upgrade it for example?
about the instruments, you find really good loops. i don't know the mords in english but in french here is my feeling: "les nappes sont super planantes, les petits sons acids derriere viennent contre balancer pour marquer le tempo. Hormis le pied qui est étouffé, je trouve ce morceau très abouti et original"
Hey Bleep good to hear from you i've been getting into the trance genre again not there yet but working on it. I will have another look at the intro maybe pump it up a bit merci beaucoup mon ami. regards Robbie
ha ha so funny! while you was posting a comment on my track i was in the same listening to yours!!!
about your track: i can't talk about the lyrics, i dind't understang all the meaning (sorry i'm french :)) but, i like your voice. The fact that it holds the same octave on all the length, rather in mediums (and besides that it's sung and not spoken) is very interesting, that's contributes to render an atmosphere "chill out" in your track (nice filters too near the last part of the song.
about the instrumental part, The chain of long notes played with the bass guitar create a kind of base everything in curvature and calming! nothing to say about the beat which is delicious!
It's very soothing and very pleasant to listen; it's a pity that I can' catch the sense of the message you deliver us in the lyrics.
Maybe it is good you can't decode the emotions because you might be very sad after haha. Thank you for the review, I always appreciate someone breaking down my music. I'll check your sounds out, too! Cam
during the hearing, i have big differences of volume level between the tribal part and others instruments! in fact, i don't know if it's a balafon (or may be a xylophone?) but he's totally covered by an other synth with agressive sound lol (for example at the beginning around 0:10)
i don't know if house is the correct genre but it's really original and i took pleasure to discover your work! keep it on :)
Thanks ,
yes dude i made 3 differents brass on it , 1 calm , one subb/electro one way more powerfull & one higher pitch than sub.
