Description : so this is my entry for Spitshines hip-hop competition that placed first.I used the following samples:
pipa
loop8
tears
and panned pad one
i also used 2 out of the 3 vocal samples

i put everything into recycle and took a machete to these samples. everything was played out by hand on my akai mpd16,and layed out on reason. all the horns,bass, and scratches are all me.hope you guys enjoy, leave a review and let me know what you think.

This is hot! you should deff have Catalyst Rhyme this beat, its not meant for that purpose but i know that could happen man. The Slow bown on the beat was crazy man. this is HIP HOP.

damn son u killed this shhhhh and i like how switch it n da middle slow it down and then brung it back u that was da illest thing i ever heard almost brung tears to my eyes lol no homo. and the scratching u destroyed it...u got talent man good ##### keep up the good work. man thank you, that review really meant a lot to me.really because i feel the same way about the last part. i had a really hard time figuring out where i was going to go with the song....and when i thought i was going to go crazy....i came up with that.now everytime i hear that part i just smile. but to tell you the truth, the scratches were cut up scratch samples i recorded and played out on my akai mpd (i dont have tables anymore) but people say i got talent for a scrawny white boy LOL

Technically I CAN scratch, but i havent had a set of tables set up for so long...to be honest, i find a scratch sound and cut it into little pieces and play it out on my akai....same effect really.but im sure i wouldnt mind doing something over one of your tracks

yeah i thought the horns were a great touch, i usually shy away from digital brass though....so it was a BIG stretch for me

DAAAIM! I've only recently started listening to hip hop stuff, I'm usually more DnB or Dubstep, but this is ##### awesome! You should get some rapping and/or singing to put over the top of it! Keep up the work mate, (Y).

phat beat, i'm not too familiar with hip hop, but this is definitely something i'd listen to. it's got this impeccable flow throughout, and the mastering of the sampled parts after slicing is right on.

thanks for wishing me luck man. means a lot, really.but this is what i was hoping to do.....which was to get people who dont necessarily listen to hip-hop to be able to get down with this
