Hey Chris, this is a interestingly "hypnotic" composition you have here. I guess you and I on some level share a fondness for creating minimalistic tracks lol! Love the time stretched loop that comes in and out periodically, it adds a nice eerie effect to the track. A very creative, experimental / enjoyable listening experience.
Greetings, thanks for the listen and fav and for taking the time to comment. Glad you enjoyed. Given your water inspired track here at the moment, maybe you should check out mine...pretty much a love song to water. All the best. Oh, it's called Water Treatment.
Hey Zivonmusic I'm diggin' this track, though I'm unfamiliar with the artist. Like your production work and the feel of this track overall, great job and fav.
Wow... this was really nice! For a song that's 6:08 it didn't feel that long. Smooth but with the changes, the sax and fretless bass soloing does give the track a "Fusion Edge." The mellow keys and groove rounds out the song to make it a very enjoyable listening experience. So glad to return after my long hiatus to find cats like yourself & Mark doing great jazz music. And it inspires me to do the same, very nice and a fav.
Dennel, thanks for the listen. I realize it's a bit long but the outro eats a minute. I really appreciate your comments. Mark's stuff is great. Love his mixes. More to come soon. UE
This is a interestingly nice track, like your use of the samples to construct the song. And all the percussion, vocal and miscellaneous samples give the track an upbeat earthy vibe. Nice production work I enjoyed this very much,
Excellent! Certainly pop radio play for sure, love the hook and how the vocals are layered. The buildup at the end of the song was exceptional without a doubt. This was a very enjoyable track to listen to and wishing you all the best in your endeavors.
"A Beautifully moving piece," I see you much like myself use music to address social or environmental issues. To paraphrase your description: "It is a complete mystery to me why man thinks to find paradise. And we are consistently destroying this paradise with an asocial ruthlessness as if we could buy a new one." Personally I think the powers that be aren't telling us that we've already passed the point of no return, climate change, the spirit of mankind as a whole. Thats why they're desperately trying to seek new planets...
I wouldn't really make a distinction between social and ecological.
I think that each of these terms already contains the other within it, would even think that they are synonymous with each other; one could well speak of twins.
"I personally believe that the powerful are not telling us that we have already passed the point of no return, climate change, the spirit of humanity as a whole. That's why they are desperately trying to find new planets..."
Well, that's where I would reverse the order:
This ominous belief in some paradise out there and the resulting obviously intrinsic urge of man to want to find it come hell or high water, was already there before (in 1957 my father stood with me as a toddler in the garden and a luminous point pulled above us its orbit through the night sky, Sputnik...) when one could still quite safely assume that the point of no return was not yet reached.
Nobody knows whether it has already been exceeded, but what EVERYONE can know for sure, without having to be a Nobel Prize Winner, is that maintaining the current economic model, an irresponsible eternal growth fetishism that is alien to reality, is as safe as that Amen will come to church.
In the past, the planet seekers could at best be justified intrinsically - thus rather weakly equipped in terms of argumentation - but with the concrete current/concrete upcoming missed reversal point, an incomparably harder argument is possible according to the motto:
"You see what awaits us, should we remain idle and everyone perish here?"
If you want to get/earn money, this "right" market economy argument becomes more convincing as the urgency for action increases...
Many thanks to you for listening and your thoughts!
Very nice production and arrangement but disco? Doesn't sound like a disco track to me. Sounds more like "Power Pop"in my opinion but none the less a great track. Well done,
Some how got cut off while trying to post the first time around. The organ and backing vocals gives the tack that warm human element. Nice job and fave,
Getting those organs to sit right in the mix was a bit of a challenge for me, same with making those vocals not seem out of place. Glad you enjoyed it!
Gotta tell you that I'm really diggin' the Groove & Vibe of your track, I can easily imagine some nice rap vocals and melodic arrangement with this. Great job and fav,
I too am a fan of Trip Hop, nice arrangement and love how the vocals have a "Haunting effect" within the context of the track. Also love the guitar solo, nice production and a fav.
Hey dimestop Message expressed, Message received. As a long time participant here on looper I've always tried my best to listen to and give constructive / positive feedback to artist. As this is a community of artist who should support one another, thanks for "Keeping It Real." Great track and a unique voice,
ive been here 3 years now and from day one ive participated to the fullest, collabs, encouragement, advice, and loads of tracks about our community too Dennel, its all about support, ive received lots of advice too, i am known for waxing lyrical about myself its fun, im an old git really :)) its my alter ego but i am controversial and political, this track was in response to my previous track that dropped bombs and some wern;t to happy, thats it if you wondering https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/242949
thanks for your time listen and comment its appreciated and more fire reggae please
Hey AP I'm diggin' your track like the energy. I really like the synth that kicks in after the three-minute mark very nice. Haven't checked out the original version yet but I will. Great job,
Hey T this track is pure magic, smooth jazz at its best. I do smooth jazz tracks at times also, this is something I would jam driving up PCH in California. Love the vibes and certainly made my day. Had to hit fav for this great job.
Hey BaoBou, Wow! This is a really nice track, love the arrangement and musicianship. Your vocals and the storytelling is really engaging. I enjoyed this track very much, great job!
Hi Jyxnz, Wow! Your vocal prowess is incredible! Just killin't on that track, Pop? Oh no, this is certainly more a "Jazz / Fusion" kind of track. Alot going on but very nice, great job I really enjoyed your track.
Hey CLickBait Cabaret, Certainly a energy filled track. I get a feel it's a cross between "EDM & Hard Edge Rock." I like what you did with burying the vocals in the mix for effect, but would suggest that you may want to bring them up a little only so the listener can understand what's being sung. Other than that great track, I enjoyed it.
Hey Micky, Excellent job you brought the "Funk!" A very enjoyable track I was feelin' the vibes big time. Great production work and arrangements. You did more of a chorus type vocal style for the track and it works well. Really lovin' that lead synth, funk bass and guitar scratching. Definitely a fav,
Nice that you checked in here, Dennel. Lately I've gotten into the habit of doing all vocals in polyphony. I like that because it's less fixated on one particular person singing...I'm not Frank Sinatra or anything. But if I keep practicing hard... who knows. Thank you very much for your words. Peace.
Hey Kirkoid, all I have to say is Wow! Excellent production and great use of the samples. The opening to the track Epic! Your vocals skills Epic! The arrangement of the track also Epic! Love what you did with panning your vocals right before the 3:00 minute mark. I kinda get that "Tears For Fears" vibe from this track (might be showing my age lol!) This was really good, had to listen to it again.
