Description : The answer to Close Encounters is Hymn Of The Pleiades. This is a strictly groove track where the elements of ambient meets electronic funk and Hip Hop. Track was recorded, mixed and mastered using Mixcraft Pro Studio 6 software. Results were achieved by using a FATA Studio 90 MIDI keyboard ran through a E-MU Proteus 2000 sound module, - for the phat funky bass synth. I also used a KORG O5R/W sound module for the retro lead synth parts and ambient sound pads.
I utilized what was essentially a old school Hip Hop drum track, arranged and beefed it up for that extra umh! I greatly appreciate all the positive feedback the track has garnered thus far. Keep listening and by all means, your comments are much welcomed... thanks.
Description : This track was recorded about six years ago as a musical present for my daughters birthday. I had spent countless hours on the finished version only to have my computer crash and I lost all the original tracks. Of course I was crushed, fearing all was lost. Fast forward a year or so later and I found this unfinished version of the track. Keep in mind that this was about two thirds of the way finished at the time and there are missing sections of the bass, keyboards, strings, etc. And for some reason there was a unknown soure of "static" on the bass track which had been corrected in the finished version. I had never thought about releasing this track for those reasons. But since it's such a fun track and it is my daughters birthday today (June 5th) I thought why not?
Now that you have the back story, this is
a multi-genre track. Disco,Jazz, Funk, Lantin percussion and hip hop. I would like to greatly thank all the musicians who gave of their time and talent. Art Miller (guitars), T.J. Watson (Soprano Sax), Slap Johnson (sax solo) and big D (that's me) bass, keyboards, piano, synth, clavinet and arrangement.
Happy Birthday Kayla! :)

Description : The irony of the subject matter of this track, is as relevant today (maybe even more so) as to when I originally wrote
this dark tune back in '94. While conceptualizing the vocals for this track, I was trying to go for a cross between "Iggy Pop" and "David Bowie".
Most who've reviewed this track thus far, say that it sounds like a song for a movie, you decide.
Much thanks to my good friend "Art Miller" for his time and talent. I sing all vocal parts, play bass & organ. Art plays acoustic, rhythm & rock guitars. Hope you dig it, peace. D
Description : Pretty close to the final version of this track. Art Miller on guitars, I do all vocals and some keyboards. But very special thanks to Barry Morgan for allowing me to make this track my own.
Description : An ambient, drum & bass track; played keyboard and bass. Used a few samples from looperman, feel the ambiance...
Description : A "Jazz Fusion" track I'm currently working on, to mix things up a bit I used the thrillseekers D&B loop from looperman. This is however just a short take of the basic tracks for now; since I haven't posted anything here for awhile. Dig the musical exchange between (Art Miller) on guitar playing the main melody, and myself playing bass solo's in contrast. Hope you like it D
Description : "This message is moving, it's beat? Vitality!" Did some retweeking on this track. This is the final version, used "Jazzy Sin" loop by ultrabase, some samples from Mixcraft 3.1, played keyboards, vocals & fx's. D
Description : Ah yes... let us reflect upon the years of a man (Bush), who with his mind numbing rhetoric and lies; has bogged us down in a seamlessly never ending war in Iraq. To date, over 1.2 million Iraqi citizens, and up to 4 to 5 thousand american soldiers have died for the sake of a lie. If there is a hell, surely it's flames await this war criminal and his cohorts! This is a chill out ambient track, played bass, fx's and featuring a Slap Johnson flute solo sample. Hope you dig it... D

Description : This is a "Smooth Jazz" track; played bass and arranged. Also featuring some wonderful sax work by "Slap Johnson".
Description : Imagine a future where water is more valuable than gold where corporations have control over the public water sources, and everyone has to pay a premium for access. Well, it's already happening; big corporations like Nestles and Coca-Cola (just to name a few) have already jockeyed for positions in the global market. While individuals like former President Bush owns (173,000 acres) in northern Paraguay, between Brazil and Bolivia with the possibility of "extracting" water from the land. The next wars wont be fought over oil but over natural resources.
