Danke my man... this track is a heater! It's a serene tour de force that draws you in unassumingly and then consumes you within it's soulful flames. I'm shocked that as long as I've been on LM that I hadn't been aware of Patricia Edwards. A true talent for sure, your musical accompaniment gave Patricia's vocals a wide-open space to shine. Very well done and a most enjoyable track.
I'm happy that I introduced you to a huge talent, a real entertainer...
We made 2 or 3 songs but it was like I'm in heaven till we made it ... :-)
thanx for the comment, appreciation,

Hey Alex very nice, like the buildup and the groove overall. I also like the static effect on the vocal though I couldn't understand what was being said. I still thought it made the track interesting, nice work.
Hey Glen, very nice and very smooth, I can hear the Pat Mentheny influence in your playing style. Nice improvisation throughout, I read where you have a tascam porta studio and was curious as to if that was used in this recording? I also have a tascam porta studio 424 MK II and a tascam digital porta studio DP-03SD. I don't use either for recording, but in the mist of recording my new material (some of which will make it's way on LM); I'm also in the middle of a project using the porta studio's to transfer analog material from the 90s, (cassettes) to digital for remixing. Again nice track and very enjoyable...
Hello Dennel, thank you for checking out this track and comments....really appreciate it. I've ben p.metheny al.dimeola, g.benson, s.khan, a.holdsworth, j.pass, w.montgomery. I could go on n on. Everything that I've uploaded to this site so far I've used the tascam portastudio dp-03...I favor a couple of tc electronics pedals. I do have mixcraft, presonus 4 and 6 artist but have not incorporated this into my past work....ive got some learning to do there....The ease of recording with the tascam keeps me hooked on it I guess.....again I really appreciate your comments and look forward to listening to some of your work.
Hello there Mykael, I was pleasantly surprised by your track. A very nice "Soulful - Popish" feel to it, I really like your warm / soulful vocal style and phrasing on the song which makes it a joy to listen to. Certainly a fav, great job!
Hello VintageNights, what a wonderful tour de force in creativity; it has a feel somewhere between "electronic, pop, hip hop & chill." The artistic way in which the autotune was implemented, really enhanced the vocalist effect in the storytelling. Very well done!
Yep Oli is the O in the word producer ;) (play on words, as in oh, lol). He is super clever at all the techniques and full of surprises. I write and perform the lyrics and he does all the magic Thank you for your lovely feedback Kay
Wow! Simply a Beautiful track that takes your mind and spirit to such a wonderful place. Such emotion in your guitar playing, along with the sparse but beautifully arranged ambient synth and drums. Absolutely a fave!
Hello Dennel, your comments and thoughts are most appreciated my friend. You know emotion sometimes just manifest itself right there unexpectedly and takes it's rightful place in your head and fingers and the rest is what you finish with. This track is definitely one of those in my opinion. When I started to play it I had no idea what it would turn out to be.....but I was pleased when it indeed turned out pretty well. Again thank U for listening.
Hey Mark, Funky, Funky, FUNKY! I thought at any moment James Brown's spirit may resurrect itself and say "Maceo Whut Da People Say? Ha!." BaoBou also laid down some tasty guitar for the track, and I really liked the killer synth solo that kicked in around 3:41. Meets my seal of Funk Approval, U Da Man!
YOD ! Your stop made my day. I was about to send the hounds after you LOL! I trust all is well with you. So my sentiments on your JB and Maceo comment is this. IN ORDER TO PLAY THIS KINDA FUNK, WE GOTTA GET OL SKOOLED IN JB OLOGY! Thank for your reaction and fave! We must get caught up my friend! Peace.
Niiice! Definitely chilled with an element of mystery added, I like the tones & textures used to create the track and the broken up groove is on point. Great job and fav,
Hello, though I'm unfamiliar with the composer / composition in which you base your creation on. I do get what you were trying to convey and in doing so I must say that I enjoyed your track, your thought process, and the gerne you chose to express the composition trough.
Yes, him and Terry Riley were pioneers of minimalist ambient, following on from John Cage and others. Appreciate the listen and comment as always. Cheers Chris
I remember this jam from the 70s, you did a great job with your version. The groove it tight, the melody is grooving and it brings back memories of a great era of music that once was.
Great Job, a nice cover of the song and needless to say the band is rocking! Vocals are on point though sometimes in some of the phrasing I could hear a lil' "Diamond Dave" lol! I enjoyed this very much.
Hey Dave, it's been a long time and looks like you haven't posted on here in awhile (I've only recently returned to the platform), I do hope all is well with you my friend. Came across this track by accident and can't believe I hadn't heard this before when I was on the platform years and years ago.
Playing harmonics within the actual bass groove really sets the track to another level. Love the jazz influence / production of what you've done here and it all sounds great. And what a great tribute to the man James Jamerson, enjoyed this very much.
Wow this was really nice, love the smooth ambient feel of the track throughout. Not sure why you didn't push the track given the date you released it? But it is certainly a very enjoyable track, great job and fav.
Very nice vibe from start to ending, I like the intro and the use of the guitar work along with the organ which adds a great deal of warmth to the track throughout. The touches of rock guitar also add flavor to the mix. I enjoyed this track great job,
Nice production throughout. And though I'm not a fan of auto tune, your vocal style along with the syncopated rhythm / groove
has a nice pop appeal which works well.
Perhaps this was your first version of this project? Don't get me wrong I like the concept and all it's just the song doesn't go anywhere from it's initial stage ie: build or changes. Other than that I think it's a good starting point if that was your intent.
Smooth groove, great vibes with a little mystery mixed in for good measure. I really like everything that kicks in after the 1:56 mark. Very nice and I enjoyed this,
Very Nice! Love the tone, effects & guitar overdubs used on this track. Nice laid back feel and your vocals fit the mood that you're projecting perfectly. So nice to see other musicians on here, I enjoyed this great job.
"Don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows indeed..." Your track embodies a mysterious, maybe even ominous feel about it in which perhaps you are trying to convey your message. In which case message received, I also like the fact (much like myself) that you've chosen the "say what you gotta say musical and don't prolong the song unnecessarily" if it is not needed approach.
hey Dennel, thanks for the listen and comments man. i wanted a ruined sound to reflect the images of ruin that permeates most media, it’s certainly permeated my consciousness.
i’m not really dogmatic about song length, but it is particularly gratifying when my long-winded ass manages to bring a sense of brevity to bear in a track. would that that were always the case!
peace, man
Nice! I like the rawness / unplugged sound of the track, and I also I like your vocal and melody structure of the song. I would agree with Eric in terms of being closer to the microphone and eliminating the background noise source. Other than that it's a nice song keep working on it.
I appreciate the kind words :) My recording method is pretty much just setting my phone down next to my amp and singing at the same time lol I managed to buy some cables and stuff so that I can plug my mic and guitar directly into my laptop, so hopefully the next song I make will be more crisp ;) thanks a bunch
