Wow thanks! I know, such good times.
Yeah we've known eachother for years, we even made a homemade album of intentionally bad music under the name "The Socially Acceptables"! (meant to be misspelled)

on Santana's revenge by coolvibe
Funny sort of tune...it's got a bit of everything...the ending needs a bit of cleaning up though and sometimes the drums are at odds with the melody......nice tone on the guitars....cheers planet

Yeah, I have heaps of this stuff that needs some tweaking in one way or another, but that's why I come here, to get honest feedback. Thanks. I'm glad you like it though.

Sheez....somebody's been down in the basement sharpening their horns..and I don't mean the brass ones!.....Ok what sort of a deal did you broker...this could explain why all your tracks are smokin'....I'd be inclined to sign up but the burn marks on the carpet are just not on........way cool tune....ever time I look around your getting better on that slide!.....I'm just about right now so I'll be sending you something soon...cheers planet
SLAPJOHNSON
SLAPJOHNSON replied Unknown
Hi Dave, I'm pleased to hear your on the mend. I think the deal is being passionate about your music, trying to improve with every track and trying to find the 13th note, that's my deal! As for these sad bastards on big brother, well the devil own's them! Selling your soul to look like a twat! No thank's. Cheers Slap...

on How Deep is the Ocean by Lux Divon by bosonHavoc
Great performance...I like the mix and the levels...great arco....was this recording taken off the desk or an up front mic?....nothing beats a live show!...rock on !....cheers planet
bosonHavoc
bosonHavoc replied Unknown
a bit of both.. Road House Rags is a local vintage clothing store owned by an Audio Engineer who loves to record live music... we punched left/right from the computer, D.I. of the upright, 2 over heads and Vox.... he did an on the fly mix straight down to 1 stereo wave file... then i did a quick master convert to mp3 then upload...

i'm booking a show their like every month or 2 so we can hear our progress.... this was our first successful live performance with ableton live (our last try faild because i grabbed the wrong cat 5 cable lol.. so we just played acoustic)

he couldn't give me a return so i couldn't sample Lux's Vocals.. so i'm going to start bringing my board and doing all the mixing and routing then i can just give the front of the house a left/right from the board and my Upright Bass D.I. split.
i've done sound for bands like ours and thats how they did it.. that seems to work best.

Hell most of the time i'm doing my own sound anyway lol

on Hybrid or somethin by Deja
Hey Deja..welcome to looperman...What you've done here is great...but at the moment it's only really an intro...I wouldn't start telling you what to include that's your department...but a shift in the beat will always help sort out any bridging into a new phase of the song.....good work so far......cheers planet

on The Squirrel song by johnnygadget
Hey Johnny...been waiting for a new track..it was worth it!....Squirrels though not native to Australia are one of my all time favourite critters...I've met a few in my travels and it's always been a great experience........their even smarter than rats which is saying something...so this tune though sad as it may be to squirrel lovers only emphasizes their plight..I'm sure with the right representation a class action could be bought against the bus company and failing that at the very least a workers compensation claim should be initiated...after all they were going to and from work..gathering nuts and such.....after final summing up in the future litigation...if you could perform this song as a closing statement..I'm sure it would go far in attaining some measure of closure for the involved parties....your humble servant....Witherspoon.F.Planet

on Mutiny of the Toys by ReignStorms
Hey Pep.....Excellent track!.....this is a very narrative piece..... you've got a broad emotive sweep going on and the percussive elements are first class...very well thought out..and shows a very creative mind at work....by the way dolls have always freaked me out....cheers planet
ReignStorms
ReignStorms replied Unknown
Thanks Planet! Well the first class elements are all looper-grown. I don't have the tech to make my own sounds so all of my elements come from here. My thanks goes to all of those that have loaded such cool loops and allow me to play. Endlessly play... may need an intervention soon...seriously. lol Pep
