on PRIORITY ALL SCREWD UP X PRO X AESYNC TAYALI by TayaliJeffrey
This is hot man! Really digging the heavy bass throughout the track. The intro was really capturing which got me hooked immediately. I'd definitely call this trap man! I'm not sure if I could add anything more to this track, but any collab on this track would defintely be fire! Just remember though man, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Cheers! Thanks for sharing! Faved.

Really diggin this track! You have so much control in this track, and I can feel the creativity with the unusual patterns. This is def a type of dubstep that doesn't contain hard and heavy wobs. This is chill, rather. Thanks for sharing, man! Def gonna fave!

on Premonator with Spivkurl Promenade Mix by promenade2239
This is really smooth and creative. The vocals sound very robotic and, in this track, it fits perfectly. The instrumentation is also creative. I know for a fact everything is in time, however I found myself searching for the time signature. Is it ever changing throughout the track? Nevertheless, thank you for sharing! Cheers to Spivkurl and Promenade!

Hello Ookami

Thans for a nice review.

The song is in 3/4 at 130bpm. Chord progression is FMaj-EbMaj-Dmin-EbMaj. The actual feeling of the music is
a kind of a very slow 9/8 or moderately fast 9/4 meter because the actual rhythm grouping is 3 x 3/4. It is quite unusual approach at least when compared with what is happening in modern dance music. However, the vocals are mainly 4/4 as well as guitars - at least this is how I perceive it mostly.
It all loops fine together because 12 bars of 3/4 are equal to 9 bars of 4/4 in length.
I also slightly manipulated manually the time inside the daw so some sections come a little later than they should strictly mertonomically.

I am glad you liked the song. Thanks for nice comments once again!

on CORPSE PARTY by Abilify
You're talking about a bit of repetition? I suppose I can see how that is a bit unsatisfying, however with the style and different patterns you offer, listeners, such as myself, can easilly overlook that, and still enjoy it all, y'know? But hey, if you feel there is something that can be improved, do what you gotta do for the satisfaction for yourself. :)

I think musicians are never completely satisfied with what they do, because they listen to it for like, idk, about 200 times before they hit it up online?
And i think they themselfes notice things, others do not, so yeah.
Its okay as it is, it just sounds kinda empty to me but as lng as it doesnt sound that way to others its fine.

Hello! I what you have so far. It would fit horror scenes nicely, either a live horror with real people or animation-wise. You said you dislike the effects. What are you going for, if I may ask? Sounds to me that what you have is complete, having all of the suspenseful cinematic tones.

on Remixed Seeing Whats Next by Darklighter
Just listened to the original one, and my gosh, you chose an awesome track to remix. Really enjoyed it. You have taken a more future bass remix on this. Really, REALLY loving your creativity on here. You have full control of the whole track. The vocals also compliment your mix greatly as the original did. You covered this mix with ease and would totally recommend you submit your remix to a YouTube promoter group to def get some highlight on your work. Congrats on your remix, man! Cheers!

on Its My Time by MOONLYTE
This is really interesting! I love the instrumentation you have used, along with your vocals. Your use of the loops are consistent throughout the whole track, and your rap flow is pretty decent. If you just tighten up the timing with each syllable, you'll be smooth. With your different tones and vocal tenseness (I guess that's the term), you add a personality to your words, as opposed to using a single, monotonous sound. The yells with the special effect with it, was genius. Sounds like anger filled with an alien feature, y'know? I really liked the creativity and use of all of your elements. Cheers! Thanks for sharing! Faved!

on Yours Within -ft NanuNanu by ValveDriver
This is some heavy stuff right here. It's like...the sound of the guitars and bass actually can be felt on my body, and I'll let you know...damn things aren't light. From beginning to end, I was hooked through it all. This is a beautiful, and aggressive fusion of Metal and Electronic, especially with the wubs you incorporated into the track. The vocals were oddly accompanied with your track (or shall I say the other way around) but in a sexy, kinky type of odd. Valvedriver has been mentioned in tracks with these types of styles a bit. I recall hearing Valvedriven by StaticNomad a while back, so it's awesome seeing lots of positive shoutouts and nods towards Valvedriver. Last I saw, he's taking a break or something, so it's always cool hearing things in which he would probably do or close to. Nevertheless, thanks for sharing! Fav'd man!

GoldenOokami.

I'm glad you like this. It's funny you should say they're "sexy, kinky type of odd." Because, like I told Tumbleweed a few comments down, this was originally going to be used for a "dancer" to work into a very specific routine. But, it kind of got out of control and became a much larger, heavier version of what it was supposed to be.

As far a ValveDriver goes. He is me. I am He and we are all together. I chose to end the Persona due to some pretty hefty life changes that came about. Part of the contribution to those changes was the ValveDriver Persona, and what it had become. After the changes, and me dealing with them, it wasn't in me to keep that persona alive. So...I offed it.

Valvedriven, is a great track, man!

Thanks again for taking a minute to listen, and to comment. I appreciate it.

Take care.
Sloe.

on Feelin Good by Diskonnect
Beautiful work! Truly is funky piece! In some areas with the brass and/or sax sections, I heard parts hat reminded me of the brass parts of Stevie Wonder's "Superstitious." Not sure if intentional or not, but was perfectly executed. All of the instrumentation was clear and balanced too. I recommend checking out a song called "The Recipe for the Perfect Afro" on YouTube. I think you may enjoy it! Cheers and thanks for sharing! Faved!

Thanks for listening, obviously I'm familiar with who stevie wonder is, but not really with his work. Tbh neither of us is really THAT familiar with funk at all, just trying to get into what we think is the groove!

I checked out that track on YT, like it! Def has a similar wibe to this! :)

on Allure by 7venth12
Nice production man! Very smooth and gradual intro. The synths and drum patterns, as well as the guitar works very well together. In the body of the track, everything is well mastered. I can hear everything with ease. The bass, drum patterns, leads, synths, ect is all balanced, and that is a great thing to accomplish. Also, there is a small, gentle synth you are using. It reminds me like a small bird singing along. That is a really cool addition, adding to this uplifting track. The outro is very cool, with a gradual ending too! Altogether, you made quite a phenomenal track, man. Thank you for sharing! Faved!

Interesting intro! Very gradual and house-like buildup, then a pretty unique drop. I think possibly a deeper bass in the drop would do the whole thing more justice. Otherwise, this whole track consists of great usage of the synths and the drum patterns. Hoping you add more to this! Cheers!

Wow! This is some very heavy stuff here man! You're improving in alot of your work man! I love the complexity you've put into this track. There's alot of rapid sequences and I'm sure that wasn't a simple thing to incorporate in either. I will absolutely fav this man! Cheers!

skwishfish replied 13th Sep 2015 - 10 years ago
Hey dude! Thanks! :)

The rapid sequences weren't really the most difficult parts though. It was more the FX like the tapestop and the pitches that were the hardest. It was definitely a long-time coming for this track, but well worth the work!

Hope all is well with you my friend!

Damn man. This is nice. Really heavy. For this to be made with loops from Looperman proves how incredible the users who put the loops out, and the users who put them to work can be. The only thing that caught my attention was a bit of delay at 1:11, but at 1:36, it seemed to correct itself, or at least have less delay. Same happened at 2:24 but once again at 2:48, it's altogether again. I like the whole setup and flow of the track. I would try to sync up those segments. Otherwise, you gotta a real tight track man. Cheers!

Damn, this is heavy and hot. Amazing work with all of the loops. Shotout to all those who's loops you used, and shout out to you, for putting them together. I really love the deep bass kicks, and the melodic nature of the lead. Great breaking and slicing of the whole track as well. I assume you used Gross Beat? Also, incredible transition to the dubstep part, then back to the hard trap feel. Track is absolutely hot fire man!
