on Never Meant To Take A Hit by Antronical
Really digging this track! The flow is dope and the music enhances it flawlessly. The drums seems to have an occasional j-dilla lag from time to time which is a very nice touch.

Cheers!

Tanks for checking it out!
Drums are finger played with no midi or quantization and also with very limited skill:)

on Rising - feat 1hunnidstudios by fanisatt
Really nice arrangement! The vocals are really powerful and the instrumentation is well put together. I can see it as an EDM but as a pop track, it fits well together!

Cheers!

on E ERRR Prod By Legendary by IAmLegendary
The groove is simple but effective. I dig that bass sound and the drums/percussion loop is really smooth. Great use of dropping parts of the drums (claps, hi hats, ect) throughout to leave space in various areas too.

Cheers!

on She wont tell me now by BaoBou
Very clean and solid track. I highly respect the live instruments. Musicianship is greatly appreciated in this! Everything compliments each instrument well together. I love the balance and keys and guitar doubling from time to time.

Cheers!

Super groovy stuff! Horn intro is capturing! Combination of wah clavs and bass is a solid direction for that funk sound alongside with the drums and other ambient sounds!

The piano section has such a smooth entrance followed by that sax too, whew! I'm digging this brother!

Rhodes reminds me of Herbie Hancock. That backbeat throughout is super solid and tight! And that guitar coming in with that key modulation down a half step was very sneaky, but didn't change the vibe at all!

Love the creativity! Cheers!

MB! Its a pleasure to meet you on the Loop. Thanks for the time taken for this listen. Its also really great how you unpacked the track. All the way down to my guitar simitone move and the Herbs thrown in for good measure LOL! Im elated you enjoyed what you heard.

Peace,

All I can say is damn! I really dig this production. As a jazz musician and a huge thinker in terms of rhythmic theory and what not, I absolutely love the manipulation of the beat. Displacing the 1 count and what not is up my alley. I'm familiar with Math Jazz and what not, but Math anything with EDM is beyond my imagination. I dig this complex track! Cheers!

on Lost In The Wind prod poppiN by Mampel
Yo, this is a really cool track. It's simple, which is a great relief from some more complex trap tracks that's done often. I love the guitar strums with the reverb effects. I personally would have the 808 kicks hitting down an octave in various areas for a pure bass kick, however that's just personal taste. Nevertheless, it's very well balanced and the spoken parts are genius talking about the universe. Very creative! Best Wishes! Cheers!

I love the deep 808s. The mysterious subtle synth plucks are so gentle, and beat is tight. Cheers man!

I dig this alot. Really smooth sound, with a gentle bass. The chords are interesting, however it sounds like theres a bit of cracking. I'm not sure if it is intentional or not, but nevertheless, tight beat.

Intentional. Wanted to give it a bit of a old/lo-fi feeling.

Thanks for the feedback!

This is a chill track with a dark tone. I dig it. I'm not too familiar with sample production, so I can't say much. But everything you've used is tight. Cheers!

Really cool track. Cool melodies and a consistent drum pattern. I would definitely add some type of a baseline maybe. Even if it's just a lightly behind the track. That's just a matter of opinion however. Cheers man!

on So Low by hanorotu
I dig this track alot. I've used the same vocal ahhs in a track before. Really nice usage. I kinda feel like the kicks could have a little bit more punch to it, which would go hand in hand with the sub hits to get a more 808 kick sound, if that is what you're going for. Otherwise, the track is hot and tight. Cheers man!

hanorotu replied 20th Dec 2017 - 8 years ago
Thanks for the advice, I agree on the punchiness of the kicks. Believe it or not I have 3 kicks making that one sound, to get it that punchy. I tried to tweak it a bit in the mastering as to not over power the subs, but I think the subs just overpower the kicks too much. Maybe just turning the subs down a bit in the chorus would help. Anyways, thanks for the comment. I'll keep it in mind if I ever release it commercially.

It looks like your year long hiatus may be over. I surely hope it is. This is a beautiful track. The use of your voices and rhythm placements are very nice. I can completely understand taking a break.

If you look at my tracks, there's a huge gap between Oct 2016 to July 2017. School will definitely take a toll on you and will call for your absolute focus.

That being said, I hope you make your return soon! And I hope your time away did you great! Cheers! Hope to hear more from you again!

Thanks my friend! Minor chords work great for the dark creepy vibe. Which is why I rarely use them. Most of my songs are happy so I tend to stick around the major area, specifically c major.

Wow! This is fire! Your use of synths and bass is on point. For this to be your first trap song with a drop, you absolutely nailed it. Your lyrical flow was precise, and your instrumental was incredible. Very nice work you put together man! Cheers!

I can see the direction this is headed. This is indeed EDM, and such a light and gentle form. You've got the idea of the style, and now all that must be done is to redefine your EDM style. Lots of light and smooth sounds were used, which is really uncommon for many EDM tracks, so you've made an uncommon track, which many people don't do. Really creative! I'm excited to see more coming from you!

on Xyilent - Nonsense by XyIlent
Very smooth track here with really interesting instrumentations. I'd def consider it Electronic. The vocals are very mysterious and on point. Billy, assuming it's who I think it is, has never failed with his vocal style on anything he's on. You two together made a very good track. I would bring out the vocals a bit more, however that's just my preference. Cheers!
