I agree with planet, Very clever. I used to have hair like Bob Dylan. now it's a little more like Mac fleetwood.
nice tune and it worked with the voice message.
Very clever!...probably the best 'Framed' call message in telecommunications history.....it just goes to show what can be accomplished with a little artistic forbearance..something that is an everyday occurance and would in 99.99% cases be deleted..has been transformed into a piece that's almost sublime....this is great work!....your musical palette is indeed rich!..cheers planet :)
this is great! I've got to hand it to ya, musically perfect. all aspects of a great tune are covered! beats are great, and all other individual melodies come together and form this amazing sound!
this track is just what I´ve been searching for. Amazing. The beats, that jazzy organ, funky e.p not forget that fat bass synth. and just when thought it couldnt get any better there´s that fantastic guitar. Sound, style and playing.. gonna have to fav this one.. excellent work. mik
Just don't turn on the ignition when she's in the garage!.....Hey man..another brilliant rhythm section! Holy Cow some of those key runs are as good as the nylon fingerstyle!.....you've been holding back on us..this current "Epic" trend is fantastic..you've got a great overview of your playing abilities and creative directions...very,very impressive and above all super enjoyable!..cheers planet :)
Planet,
Thank you again and again. This community is the best. I feel comfortable opening up without having to fit into any preconceived expectation. I will soon post some symphonic compositions. For now, I'm on the road playing finger style acoustic and singing....that's it. As simple and straight forward as I can make it. Thank you for the encouragement, I continue to gain confidence thanks to my looperfriends.
Voltage
I love that you are really stretching out your melodic and rhythmic themes and letting them fully develop. I love the acoustic guitar and the way that it counterbalances the electronic phrases. Best wishes to you on the road (or in the air, same concept, more comfortable...haha). Peace, Six
Thanks Six. All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go....If I can get a break and find internet access, I'll check in and perhaps report on how it's going. Thanks for the kind send off. I'll be doing the solo acoustic thing. It's the Hair Like Bob Dylan Tour....
Voltage
You make me wish that I was a musician. You and the other really talented musicians on looperman are the only musicians I know without over blown egos. Great song as always. Cool beat. Love that jazz flavor.
Blair,
You are a musician....
It's easy to be humble here....Listening to all the great talent let's me know that I need to persevere and practice, practice, practice. I feel blessed to have the tools to create and innovate. What a great time to be a musician.
Road time.
Voltage
masterpiece, not much else you can say, the beats are sequenced perfectly with so much variety, i would love to know how many different beat samples were used. overall, love it, so smooth and all melodies compliment the beats very well!
would love to hear the whole tune in its entirety!
big ups mate!
Spanked,
I am totally humbled by your kindness. I believe this one required around 150 separate track events to accomplish. At least for the 25 minute extravaganza this was culled from. I had to render at 64bits as well to keep the file size within looperman limits. I have the entire enchilada posted on my ACID Planet profile. Check my links if you are interested. Your encouragement is greatly appreciated. I Love Looperman. Voltage
Great ideas always flow from cool beats.....If your anything like me..Drum arranging and programming is probably the most labour intensive area in track making..there's a lot of work in this piece and the beat has real presence and authority..such a groove!..the way the bass comes in and out of the mix is very effective...great crossovers all over the place..expert synth lines and polished guitar chops.....I can easily visualise this piece as the sound track to a sophisticated surf flick.....Cowabunga! cheers planet :)
Thanks Planet. I was actually thinking of you when I posted this one as I knew you would dig the bass and drum connection. Yes drum programming is the most intensive part of a detailed piece. I have focused on this element for some time now. Hope to get more vocal tracks up here soon as well. Thanks again Planet, you are such a positive friend here. A big reason I have made this place my creative home. Stay Low Bro......

Sky,
Thanks for the kind comment.
The fact you take such substantial time to get through these extended pieces and then make the effort to comment is very encouraging for me. Much appreciated.
Voltage
haha, anything I would say about this track has already been said.
Its definitely shreddy for blues, but thats not a problem, its your track, do whatever you want with it :P
The life without parole definitely has the right idea to it
Thanks Brecken.
I have a tendency to just play forever and then take a section that seems to work and edit it down to size. Such was the case with this one. The original track lasts about 20 minutes. I very much appreciate you taking the time to listen and make the effort to comment. Thank you.
Voltage
Hey thanks Scott. The original title I used was called Gin and Pentatonic as I tend to rely on the Pentatonic as you can hear. Though I am not much of a drinker...Perhaps I'll use that title in the next riff marathon. Thanks for your kind words of encouragement.

Thanks K.
I believe some songs hold a spirit within. This one seems to be reaching people from all over. I am very happy the intended message is coming through. Thank you for the kind words.

Hi Voltage,
Thought I'd give one of your first songs a listen to. Nice acoustic guitar playing. The addition of the strings, etc, fit in very well.
Just shows what you can do with certain programs and getting the best out of them.
Nice job of putting it all together.
Randy
Thanks Randy.
This one took up many tracks and a great deal of time to accomplish. The drums actually took up most of my time. Appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment.

Hi Voltage,
Wow, what I nice clear sound. I like this song a lot. I just ordered 1,000 files of Harmonia royalty free loops on a disk in different styles.
Your singing is good too. Sounds like Dylan to me if I close my eyes. ;)
Thanks for sharing.
Randy
Thanks for the compliments on the Dylan piece Randy.
I want to try and do songs in the style of Lennon and McCartney, Hendrix, The Who, Mountain and others that influenced me. Sort of like what the Rutles are to the Beatles. A tribute to the music and musicians I love. Thanks for your encouragement and inspiration Randy. BTW, Love those flickr photos you posted....awesome.

Hi Voltage,
Interestingly I found that Efiddler site just a few weeks ago. The guy is great. I am using some of his freebee loops in my next country song. (Combination Country/Cajun)
Great tune you have here, I like it a lot. Its great to be versatile.
Not much real Country/Bluegrass type on Looperman here, so it is good that I am not the only one that post it.
Randy
Randy,
Sorry for the delayed response to your kind review.
The violin is an instrument I hope to become accomplished on one day. Then again, I'm still working on my keyboard chops...so many cool tools, so little time. Thanks for listening and commenting Randy.

Transparent,
Thank you for taking the time to listen to some of my tracks. I noticed you reviewed one of my mellow tracks and this rocker. That's what I love about Looperman. We are free to express in whatever genre, whatever creative expression we feel. Thanks for the encouragement. I am inspired.
