Courtney,
This simply rocks on every level.
Well crafted song, smokin production and an obviously confident, spirited performance.
You have a gift....
As a creative production service provider, i am intrigued.
As a fellow musician I am impressed.
As a SoCal neighbor, I am interested to see and hear how your edge translates on the Live Performance Stage.
Best wishes to you in this endeavor.
Kick it....

on About love by Kikajon
Kikajon,
I am enjoying your work very much.
I find your expressions to have a very comfortable spirit.
The depth and feel of this and other works you have posted sparks my imagination.
Your creative process is intriguing to me. I have recently delved into Logic 9, but only briefly touched on Garageband. After listening to the results you are getting, I am inspired to go back and invest the time and effort necessary to become proficient in Garageband.
Quality work here.
Well done.

Thank you very much for listening and reviewing with such nice words, i'm flattered. About garageband, it allows me to focus on the music. And once you start to work with it, you'll probably be a bit surprised, garageband has almost all editing possibilities you need. I also use audition for mastering to get a sparkier sound.

Planet,
Totally enjoying the energy here.
Man that bass is smooth.
Just gorgeous.
This fits perfectly as the soundtrack to my SoCal Saturday afternoon. I look out my window to see the trees swaying in the gentle breeze at precisely the same time the panned chimes kick in.
Perfect.
Quality work bro.

Love this big time.
I am often asked why I carry tons of media from place to place over the decades. With each move I migrate Crates, Boxes, Trunks of Tapes, Vinyl, CD's, Hard Drives, Video, Film, Mini Disc, DAT, ADAT, Reels, etc...
Every few years I mine the media and inevitably i find a forgotten gem that ends up on another all time best compilation. Your mention of finding this gem on your drive encourages me to continue to maintain the vast library regardless of the burden.
Big smiles here. Thanks Planet.

on Rock My World by Randall822
Randy,
I just adore this style of rock.
As a career bass player, I can tell you that some of the very best moments in my life were on stage driving a band performing this style. Like the King said, "Rock-n-roll music, if you like it, you just can't help but move to it. That's what happens to me."
Straight up Five Star Fav *****

Hi there Sky,

I thank you for reviewing this tune and I appreciate your comments very much.
I guess I am just going thru a rock phase now.

I love bass and drums as if they sound good, they can make the song.

If you'd like to hear my 'Guitar Heros' song remixed with vocals recently, please go to Warrior777 on here and play the only track available.

The gal is from Washington State and does a decent job...sounding some like Grace Slick.

The vocals were too loud the first time thru and then everything got panned to the left, so I think she got it straightened out pretty well. She does a nice job with it.

Your welcome to try and put vocals to my tunes as well.
Since a good share of my tunes in this genre are loop based, (As noted in different songs I do) I can't easily change anything from here.
I just put them togetrher like a puzzle.

Thanks again for listening...I will review some more of your material and give feedback......right now I am running behind. :)

on A Little Blues Jam by Jeff05C
Wookie,
I think you did an excellent job arranging the guitars.
As for finding your way around Acid, you seem to have a grasp on what it takes. The track moves thanks to the guitars. I also have a few tracks where I use a single drum loop to build the progression or simply to jam with. Sometimes that makes the final master. However my best works usually demand a focus on the drums. Take the suggestion of bchris and try detailing the drums. Maybe even try this on your next project if not this blues track. Another point to watch for is the tempo of the original loop placed in a song tempo that is cause for a bit of flutter. Some instruments can pull it off without a problem, others stand out. Perhaps try a fade out at the end. In conclusion I am indeed impressed with the spirit of this arrangement. Your creative expression and desire are quite apparent. Looking forward to many more Wookie works.

Thanks a lot,
hey, I really appreciate the time taken to put down your thoughts here. Still fiddling with all these pieces and trying to get the great sound I hear on so many tracks (and in my head). The mixing/mastering is big time learning in progress, I did go back and change a few levels and tweak some of the panning. I probably won't upload it, but the help is helping ;^) Every ones comments are giving me a new perspective, and fresh ears.

Cheers, look forward to checking some of your tracks.

on A Gathering of Women by Filaofsoul
Man this deep.
There is a beautiful vibe going here.
I applaud you for putting this together, especially the cassette document elements. Technology may march on, but there are still gems captured on tape that need to be shared.
I can not tell you how humbled I am to receive a mention of being an inspiration. As you mentor youth, I hope to share an often overlooked point of interest. The famous Martin Luther King "I Have A Dream" speech was first delivered in Detroit at Cobo Hall. The speech was verbatim with the historic Washington DC March for Freedom speech.
WJR radio Detroit has the Cobo Hall speech in their archives.
I mention this because I have recently viewed a documentary about MLK where the narrator states he had disregarded his prepared notes in DC and ad-libed the Dream speech on the spot.
The Cobo speech has a special quality to it. As Cobo is a much more intimate venue than the vast Washington Mall. Worth seeking out. Either way, I am brought to tears with even the suggestion of Martins Dream.

I liked this right away.
The way you established a groove and then went about embellishing with ornaments gives this piece depth.
Take this theme and run with it.
It's a friendly groove that deserves a chance to breath.
