Manuela has a point. I don't make my music to make $$$, I make the music I want to hear. Is that the right approach? IDK. But it's my approach. If you like my music. Great, If you Don't. So be it, art is subjective. If I make some money from it. Great. If I don't. I have songs I like to listen to and make me happy. Music will never be the thing that makes me compromise in my life. That's what my Day job is for. And to be honest, I get to be creative in that as well. But you my friend ...we see eye to eye on the dark stuff. I enjoy your music and creativity, and look forwards to hearing new stuff from yah.
It absolutely IS the right approach. That's why my original tagline here was "I'm here to get good, not famous". Admittedly, it would be nice to make enough money with it to be able quit my day job, but either way, it brings me joy, so, meh...whatev's. I'm good.
Yeah, we do see eye to eye on the dark stuff. Our approach to making it are two completely different methods, though. Yours has always been a lurking darkness brilliantly hidden behind brighter elements. It's there, you know it's there, but you can't pinpoint it creating a certain level of unease. Mine, well, it's just right there.
I have a few new things posted that I don't think you've heard. Drip Christ is one of them. I think my darkest, and most raw, aggressive yet. Check it out if you get the time.
Always good to hear from you, brother.
Take care.
Nice one. Very distinct character and a nice metal vibe reminds me of early 2000s hardcore bands but with much better guitar sound. Which amp are you using by the way? sounds killer!
Hey man. Sorry for the ridiculously late reply. I didn't see that you had commented until today. Otherwise, I would have been right on it.
As far as the amp in this one, it's from Line-6's Pod Farm UX2. I don't remember which one right off hand. I would go back and look up exactly which one it was, but unfortunately, the laptop I was using took the proverbial shit on me, and the drivers for that aren't compatible with my new laptop's OS. So, it's a complete mystery to you and me both! Sorry I couldn't help you out, man.
I'm glad you liked it, though. I appreciate it.
Take care.

My english not so good man , I need the google translator every time... Anyway....it is very strong as I have already said because there are strong melody lines and rich chord progression here , not simply a metal piece with a strong guitar....!!! Bravo !!!
Fanisatt, I understand the language barrier, man. I completely get it. That can make communication a little difficult. Luckily, we do have Google translator. While it may not be a perfect translation, it definitely helps artists, (people in general) from all over the world to connect and share where we couldn't before!
Thank you for coming back for another listen. I truly appreciate it!
Take care.

Woah! Yea! Love that Morrissey type bass synth! Excellent raw guitarage! From Morrissey to Massive Attack. What a creative transition or build I don't know what to call it but little bit of both blended in so seamlessly with main guitar
Ooooo Bminor and Gminor both are great for basslines (while keys like A#m or F#m are not as easy for me because the relatively higher (or lower) pitch than other keys complicates things a bit. Anyway, I'll come up with some stuff, in a variety of tempos and patterns. When it comes to drums and 808s, I'm kinda like captain America - I can do this all day.
Whatever you got, man. I can work with it. Generally, I stick to Bm or Gm, but I'm good with whatever you throw my way. If I can't get anything to stick, we can try something different.
7:09 minutes of pure Metal, just the thing to go with my morning coffee as I wake up the neighbors with my walls rumbling lol! Can't add anything more than what's already been said other than it's an exceptional piece of music. Thanks for sharing,
Thank you, Dennel. I appreciate that.
Coffee and metal is the cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast!
Like the saying goes, "I don't always listen to metal, but when I do, so do my neighbors!" right?
Have a good one.
Take care.

I gotta be caeful doing that surgery to my own work, theres so much of it Id never be seen again lol. Anyway, dude I swear there isnt a single piece of yours that i dont like, its always fking awesome. This has a slowr pace to it that would suit my drum and 808 style - I think that whenever youre ready to do that full collab, something with the DNA of this one will be the place to start. Im ready whenever - Im not as busy as I was, but it wouldnt matter. Id drop everything to work with u lol.
When I first started out here, a few regulars and I started referring to my style as "Electrosludgedoomstep". I had this idea that using all synths, but in a metal style would be something cool. It was. To a degree. There was even one that Neomorpheus laid down a killer guitar track to. But, after awhile, I got tired of doing it that way and just started doing trad metal. I have a shitload of old tracks that are just sitting there waiting for their turn on the operating table. So, yeah...if that's a project I continue with, the world may not see me for quite some time either.
As far as starting that collab, why don't you kick it off by putting together a few drums and 808 patterns and send 'em over. I'll put a few riffs to them, and we can go from there. I have a few ideas that might work. But, we can work details in DMs.
Take care, man.

Hello ValveDriver, just doing a little surfing and stopped on your track a thousand blight of fire and right away the guitars caught my ears....it just happens that way since I kinda admire the guitar. I found it pretty interesting and definitely heavy metal....so many ways the guitar sound can capture your attention and this did. Its a good strong rock piece....just what you expect.
Hello Glenn.
I have to agree with you. Guitars have always been a major part of my life, and they do have a way of capturing your attention.
Thank you for the listen and the comment.
Take care.

This explains your experience in working with guitar mixes. You've been doing this a long time and it looks like guitars have always been your thing. I don't know a lot about hard rock but this song is fire. I'm looking forward to learning more from you sir.
N
N, hey man. Thanks for stopping by.
Although I have been doing this for a long time, I have to be completely honest with you, as far as producing/mixing goes, Guitars have really only been prominent in the last few years. Before then, I primarily worked in synth based music. But, I've been listening mostly to classic rock, blues, grunge, and heavy metal since the late 1970s. So I grew up completely immersed in, and with guitars being the main driving force behind my musical tastes.
As far as learning more from me, I'm glad to help out where I can. I am by no means a professional. Just someone who's picked up a lot of useful things along the way, and I'm still learning all the time!
Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment. It always means more when it's not someones preferred genre, but they still take the time. I appreciate it.
Take care.

Hi , Aaron 2 - Something slightly Nirvana-ish came up in me when listening - the quality of this track, production-wise, is superb. I would say rock heaven, if there is such a place. Love the way you did the ending, with that blast of timpani. Nicely done. Kay0s
Hi Kay. Thanks for listening and commenting. I appreciate that. As far as there being a rock heaven, I hope there is such a place. That's where I plan on going! I guess I can hear a little bits of Nirvana in a few places, but to be honest, even though I absolutely love Grunge, and lived the grunge lifestyle in the 90s, I never really got into Nirvana. I was more into Alice In Chains and Soundgarden. (among others). Either way, with Nirvana being such a big name, I take it as a compliment. Thank you!
Take care.

I too think your song is mostly a rock piece. There are of course elements of other music styles that give this psychedelic color which fit really well.
A very good listen.
Best regards, Anthony
Wow! This is very good, I agree with VintageNights post. Very introspective in feel, steady and almost hypnotic in it's delivery, the intro and outro was befitting for such a track. Great job,
It's as magnificent as all the others man. Its kinda crazy to realize that there is more of your work for me to experience. I do so with reverance, my friend. If u have the time one day, itd be awesome if u tell me the full story behind this one. I read what u mentioned already about the female musician etc, and that this was your 1st upload here. (I wish I still had my 1st upload, but it's gone forever due to a stolen laptop some years back. That song has a story too)
I'm still waiting to collaborate with you in some way, man. Itd mean a lot to me.
That sucks, man. The stolen laptop and the missing song. I feel for you. It's bad enough when your own stupidity deletes a song, but to have it stolen. That stings just a little bit more.
As far as collaborating, now would probably be the best time. I don't have any projects that I'm diligently working on at the moment. I mean, I have an entire folder of WIP but, meh...I'll get 'em later. I'll get a hold of you over on Discord about that.
Yes, it really impressive, the sound and the composition. You have masterfully used your armory of sounds and your fantasy to give us a awesome track.
Great work here
My best wishes, Anthony
