progressive lounge...very cool...those synth solos in the middle of the song are outstanding, tunes are fantastic choices and the drum is on the groovy side...I hear, feel and hope it's not a silly thing but one of those drum sound is pushed at the left side?! great idea...
This definitely has that 98-XP era vibe to it, which is a vibe that I still love! People really take for granted the advances in software which have been going on... they/we have it really easy!
I think the editing in this is quite spectacular! Not the sort of thing that I expect to hear at all! There seemed to be a common assumption back then that industrial music was all machines and horror movie samples, which I suppose in some cases was true. Has never been my style of industrial, but I can't think of anyone who has done it better than you as exemplified by a song like this!
Deep and dark throughout, while staying fun and entertaining! I can't fault the extreme loudness, since you only have an old mp3... I have some songs like that as well.
I enjoyed listening, and it was a good way to wake up. Time to take a shower and was the tool oil off!
Thanks tops for your time and comment.
I really enjoyed putting this together.
I'm on a number of discussion forums and a lot of people seem to be getting down about the state of the world.
I was having images of guys sat at bars silently looking into the gloom of another empty glass ... give me another one bartender.
Hence the drowning.
I'm liking it again now.
Concernant "Drowning In A Bar Of Blue Light", c'est un véritable petit bijou!

I liked the disjointed ness of it. the sections just begging for cohesion. Then the last part of the song is killer. even my wife liked your dissonat brass fading away to obscurity at the end. Overall good work.\
Thank you kind sir.
I still can't get it to sound right in my head.
When making it I knew exactly what I was doing but I've lost contact with it somehow.
Hello Mr Silverman
Hope things are going better for you these days.
It looks as if you had become acquainted with your new equipment.
Very jazzy stuff but also nice electronic/modern stuff.
Not 100% my preferred kind of music but i could really enjoy the listen. This is not a bad sign.
Been away for quite some time now and I'm not even back for real yet but at my first peek I ran straight into this extraordinary ambience and I can clearly see that you did not forget to compose very very special things! Huge compliments for this one my friend !
Not been around much myself mate.
I like the basis of this number but it sounds awful on my speakers only good on the headphones.
I posted it and removed it and altered it a number of times last night or in the wee hours of the morning because I can't seem to get personal satisfaction from it.
So .... it might get deleted again tonight while I mess about some more.
Cheers my friend.
Okay, I've just been grooving along to this, and then I get to 4:20, as I tend to do (!)... and that broken cone tone guitar is just killer! I love that sort of thing!
The song is definitely freaking awesome! I too know how hard things used to be for us musicians, having made music on Win 98 and other even less technological items. It was difficult, but oh so rewarding! You did a great one here, and it brings me back.
For some reason your song made me think of the pawn shop I was just at this morning. They had some music playing, and the opening riff had me thinking I was going to hear Warren Zevon "Werewolves of London." Then the song kept going and it turned to just be some stupid hick who ripped off a bunch of classic rock. Very disappointing. However, it doesn't matter since we found an original "Excitable Boy" vinyl not long ago.
Don't hear something referred to as Glam Rock much any more, but I can't complain about the reference. I still like to think of Muse as one of the more recent additions to that sort of style, though I know it's not exactly correct.
This is really good Silverman.
Feels like a progressive pop vibe happening, with gnarly industrial ornamentations.
In fact i opened another window and was playing my poem "Leave no man behind" from my accapella page with it from 0.8 seconds.
This is a good track. I hope you get to finish it someday with your original vision.
Stay strong man.
The song sounds really good. I love the funky vibe and the electric guitar that comes in later adds even more tension to an incredibly tense track.
I didn't necessarily get the vibe of a war either. @Joecramer's comment "-on the way to steal all the gold of fort knox- feeling" seems so perfect for this. I could imagine this song telling the tale of an epic heist.
Holla :)
After a while i came back to looperman just for some listening. And i found this one. Very cool one. I like this vibe and the dynamic. Good sounds, samples and loops are used in this track. I really enjoyed the listen but i don't get any connection to a war. This is way to cool and way to chillyfunk for a war. For me it was more a "leaving the war" song, if it has to do any with war at all. ;)
In fact i had more this -on the way to steal all the gold of fort knox- feeling.
I am happy to come here and listen to this one. a good starting point for my "comeback" on looperman.
Wow thanks Joe for making me your first port of call. I'm honored. You've been missed around these parts.
I have a new MIDI keyboard and a beat up electric guitar once again.
Really struggling at the moment to fully get my hea around Ableton but I am making loops with it and the keyboard.
I hope you'll be staying.
Silverman funky, cinematic could have easy been used in a scene from Mimi Vice I loved that series. Super slap bass sounds and blends which just fit man it's a trip thanks for the ride. Best regards peace out. Robbie.
Sounded like a good opportunity to hear something a bit older on your page, and I'm glad that I found this one! It is very sonically deep, and interesting in a visual way.
This does have the feel of an opium dream, which is something I saw that you mentioned. I think that has been invading my nights quite a bit in the last couple of weeks (tis the season). It has that sort of confusing yet penetrating vibe.
Lots of jazzy elements in here, which make it also somewhat fun! Feels a bit like something from Eno's "Nerve Net" album, or even some from Matt Johnson/The The... neither of those could ever be a bad thing to my ears! Something is definitely very fusion-like in here.
The "Night Train" aspect of the title made me thing of Guns and Roses, which is a bit funny considering the style of your song. Can't seem to get past that part of my youth, blaring a GnR tape in my walkman over and over again... surprised my ears are as good as they are still!
hello Silver,
i took time to listen to it on your soundcloud so i don't discover it here! as i already said on soundcloud, your track is dope, with a darkness touch!
Yo Bleep thanks for your time and positive comments.

I have no idea how true that may or may not be.
Awesome track silverman. So many different elements blended together so well. It has a great rhythm to it. It's so funky and upbeat even in the transitions. It feels a little cyber punkish at times too. I really enjoyed the journey this took me on. The overall mix sounds pretty good too. This one's a Fav and its downloaded. Truly nice work.
It's getting really dangerous.....the declaration of war has never been so funky...and yes, the level of eclecticism undoubtedly brings us to something that could be called "prog"....elegant departure from your usual "pop" stuff (at least half a joke)....and it's done so well as we are already used to....consistency has become your undeniable quality and that's so great to feel !:)

Damn, that first bass sound is awesome and kind of unexpected. Very modern and merges nicely with that cool groove.
I'll say much more about this later but you have a massive thumbs up from me for now!
