By now I already got used to be pleasantly surprised whenever new example of silverman's "pop" is out....no different this time. Almost hypnotic rhythm together with great use of pads, keyboards and synths creates a very pleasing listening experience for this listener. Keep on delivering my friend!
We need more genre names! Like "Amsterdam Pop" for something like this, bc you're probably not gonna hear it on a pop radio station but you might very well hear it in an Amsterdam coffee house. It's a great groove and I like it a lot. Didn't hear any need for vocals except maybe just repeated phrases woven into the sonic tapestry, but it didn't make me desire song lyrics on top of this great music which is quite interesting and delectable enough. Great work.
Lovely to get such a positive comment Mofo.
I was very wary of putting this one up.
The main sounds are very subdued and distorted and I thought people are just not going to get this.
Amsterdam pop!
I like it.
So it starts out with a NIN sound, and then moves into this otherworldly zone. I get the Donna Summer Reference in this and think you should re-name it ¨Love to medicate you baby¨!;-) it is a compelling listen though, and I will return to listen after a few more beers (since I am off tomorrow) to give a more randy description!

I'm really not sure what to make of this other than there's something I really like about it but have no idea just now where to take it or if it can actually be taken anywhere!
I think I'm going to try and put a poem over it I did forty years ago.
It'd be called a rap these days.
Maybe I'll be called the second rapper ... Bob Dylan being the first.
I have no idea where the voice came from other than a folder of mixed wavs on my pc.
Sounds like Donna Summers but I doubt it is.
It's a bit of an odd one that I have to keep listening to because there's something about it makes me want to take it further but will I?
I keep listening to it while playing stupid card games.
Liking this a lot. Especially like the guitar sound you've got going
there...is that you ? It gives it a touch of humour......tongue in
cheek, sarcastic feel...so much in a sound. Great industrial sounding
rhythm drives it along nicely. Lot to like.
An uplifting and fun experience.....I was moved:))
Cool track. Sounds a little more industrial leaning than Pop, but that is a good thing. Definitely a NIN vibe going on which is never a bad thing. Nice job.
Hahaa. That base is a bit emanding.
I haven't even heard it on speakers as bunging a base guitar through them wiped them out and the headphones I'm on aren't the best.
I have some pressing money issues to sort out ... beeeeg bills and some house changes to deal with and then I'll be getting some decent monitors. I live in the hills and need a new log burner and stuff first.
Hope you're well Tek.
As always true to your art, a real pro at taking us on a journey.Love the low drive and the melody
of the highs,It's like i'm in a sci-fi dance club waiting for my ship...this is the medicine!...thanx and keep 'em coming Silverman...Doc
Cheers Doc.
My mindset is one of breaking the rules if possible.
To sound like no one else.
To create my own thing.
It's not easy and I'm not sure it's even possible!
Damn man, this is good! I really like the overall mix especially. Very cool composition, driving beat with some neat accompaniment. Has a mainstream, pop NIN sound to it. I'm not big into long intros but there is a cool element as it builds towards the main part of the song.
Hey Silverman now that is what i call an INTRO i really dig the subterranean bass heeeee cool. My speakers were working overtime which is what they were designed for it progresses very nicely too building tension. Im just back from a 4 day bluegrass guitar music workshop and was in need of some electronic goodness and this hit the spot nice work man best regards.
Hi there X.
I can feel my headphone coils moving in and out with that base. Got to be the longest intro I've ever done.
Cheers my friend thank you for the encouragement.
My gosh mate...to be completely honest....this is crazy good ! Am I too bold if i say that this is most probably your best work to date? What is that medicine doing to you....making you younger? You're full of enthusiastic energy lately...at least that's what I feel..:)
The intro only forecasts that another antithesis "pop" work is going to happen...and it does in best possible ways. Remarkable job my friend and every bit of it deserves a big FAV... and download is a must !!
I'm almost lost for words Orlando!
Thank you so much for your encouraging words and time.
The medicine is indeed working and it's all legal these days!
At the beginning, i found too this track wasd tainted of new wave inspiration... and after, during all the track an oriental/psychedelic touch is added. It's the way i feel it :)
i agree with others listeners, it's a great performance.
Nice bass intro. Reminded me of Joy Division for a second. This almost has a psychedelic drone like quality. Then that panned organ. brilliant mixing. I feel I´m tripping and I´m stone cold sober! So many good things going on. brilliant work my friend, i am truly impressed.
Steve
Joy Division!
That's a huge compliment.
I'm from Manchester N.England originally and was a big part of the Hacienda club scene and JD were a huge part of that scene too.
Anti Nazi League were big on city festivals as was reggae and John Cooper Clarke was churning out poetry like there was no tomorrow.
Drugs by the truck load ...... Those were the days.
Sorry about that you just sent me back to the eighties!
Thanx for the encouragement Steve.
Wow...some helluva good "pop" again...haha...if only the ordinary pop was that splendid and creative as this is. Much retro feel in this in best possible way...enjoyable from start to finish, your tracks are getting better and better my friend...big fav !!
Hey Mister ,
really nice Song , you put us in 4 Minutes through different moods . The best are the aahh´ss .. and the outro sounds intressting , would be great if that was a little bit longer .. but great work my friend ;-)
I want to clear up that I am actually not a hump as some people might want to believe. lol
This is pretty freeking cool man! There is so much to like about this track. Was digging the repeating, sorta mono-toned low end matched with the cool drums you used in conjunction with the sweet guitar/synth instruments panned wide. I was easily sold on the track and then the keys came in, sad to hear it stop.
Nothing too complicated and over produced, just a solid beat matched with the right instruments playing some cool parts. Sounds like a band jamming.
I agree with teamrufeless that some proper vocals on this would be the cherry on the icing. Great work!
I really love this it has a really interesting mix of 'feels' and i agree it would sound even better with some retro style vocals it reminds me a bit of the Herd great tune well done Lee
I have some vocals at the ready written by me forty years ago.
It's more a poem or a rap if you like before rap was created.
I'm waiting on a new mic and I'm going to give it a go.
I find putting vocals in though very difficult.
I don't have a singing voice either burt I don't mind giving it a shot and I don't mind people having a good chortle at my expense.
Have a listen to my throat .... I mean voice here ...... https://www.reverbnation.com/jackbackband/song/27170890-jack-sings-lenny-faster-and-rougher
I've got this sampler from exotica (label) whish does strange remix type songs for exotica music; this would fit in there. I really like the change in 3.43 going from oriental trippy to arab dancy and although it will be a long intro i think some heavy dubstep should kick in at 4.44
