This is a great song! I remember DJ Amiie Bee was looking for a female singer and I recommended that she should ask you, and look how that turned out...its a great song. keep it up.

Thanks Fareel, we're both glad you liked this... Honestly it's not something I would have done on my own so it was cool to step out of my own zone for a while :) ~Lisa
Smoooooooooooth.....I like it, it's real laid back...vocals are nice...production's spot on...sounds professional...looking forward to more from you two...
Hey thanks Splish :) This track was fun to watch come together... I want to do some more R&B flavoured stuff once I get more knowledge amassed about the programs hehe. Thanks for listening! ~Lisa
Very good song. I first heard your tracks with EV on your myspace which are also great by the way. Keep it up. Like they said this sounds very professional good job.

Yep it's me singing... this stuff is a means to an end for me, my way of getting to songwrite. Thanks for listening... I use Acid Pro 6... but I've been doing online karaoke for some time.. and I use Adobe Audition for my vocals *which I swear by* and I have a decent mic/mixer setup. I think it helps.
indeed, that's high quality work ....!!
listening to your voice many times now I need to say you would be surprised about yourself if you'd add just a little more power (not to say rage, but a similar emotion) to your singing - doing so you will blow away everything around .....
no critics, just a suggestion to improve your extraordinary voice!!!
Hehe well now that you've heard me in some diff musical areas what do you think? :) When I started out singing it was all Jewel, Sixpence None the Richer, Suzanne Vega, Cranberries... folky pop stuff. I was scared to try anything more erm... out of my comfort zone. As time went on I got more adventurous... i've even done System of a Down at karaoke before lol. I'm still learning my niche with the electronic stuff and since I'm doing all the music myself I'm still limited to what I'm singing... we'll see what time brings ;) ~lisa
Lmao I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with this one... i always love hearing people's takes on a track. Not saying that I like being chipmunked but I do like hearing vocal manipulation as long as I still sound like me lol.
Mwuahah! We actually got told we should do a cd together... and we're amassing enough tracks to! lol Thanks for listening gizz, glad you liked it :) ~Lisa
Thanks very much :) I'd say I probably listened to more 90s stuff than anything else so maybe that's why? Thank you for listening, I'm glad you liked it :) ~Lisa
To be honest I did not expect much but I have to say it got my feet thumping and I liked it, just a few tempo issues and that it's short mastering later and yeah finish it .
yeah at this point I am just learning to do drums etc (I am an IDIOT in music theory.. singing is definitely the only thing I can say I am totally comfortable doing lol) so there would definitely be some issues that would crop up with the drums. Oh well it was done for a time-passer, a happy distraction, glad you enjoyed it :) ~Lisa
hey lisa, that's an awesome beat you made,
absolutely funky and tight ... you really need to work this out!!!
and the bassline is just hypnotic ....
love it!!
Yeah we'll have to see what I can come up with when I go back to this with fresh ears. I thought it was kinda neat, otherwise I wouldn't have shared it lmao. Thanks for listening rei :) ~lisa
i like it..what do you mean you dont like it.? good job on this. and to think this is only your 3rd song.... i smell potential. or that could be my new deodorant.. either or they both smell good..Hahaha
You're telling me I'm crazy and YOU are the one sitting in [what looks like] a shopping cart?? lmao Thanks for listening SpAzz, glad ya liked it :) ~Lisa
Heya Slap :) When I found out about Trey it hit me really hard. I didn't know him that well, but I felt like we had a kinship at least in certain areas... and his age was enough reason to feel like he should still be alive. When my dad passed, I recorded a song for him.. I realized it was a good way to mourn.. and since this song had been nagging at me the 2 days before I found out about Trey, it was the obvious choice. Thanks for listening. x
Yeah part of what drew me to this track was the softer edge of it. A lot of EV's stuff is pretty underground sounding, it's nice to hear him doing stuff like this too. Thanks for listening, glad you liked it :) ~lisa
Pretty interesting backing, it reminded me of delerium, and you have an awesome voice (I think you unleashed it more in some of your other tracks though), you never seem to miss a note! Maybe one day when i make something that needs vocals, you'd be kind enough to do a collab :) Keep up the good work!
Yeah, I tend to do the chameleon thing with my voice.. my range is pretty wide so I try and use it however possible... and since my musical influences are from all over the place it's kinda hard to stay in one little box for long ;) I had a flanger on my voice in this one too so it sort of subdued things as well... a little too much I think lol. Wish I still had the master to fix that. Thanks for listening!
The high jump just turned into the pole vault!.......When you can hear the space and timbre of silence between the notes of a song, you have really stepped up in the music making game....This song is drenched with it!!.....full marks!..............cheers planet
You know... I am a huge fan of dynamics in music. The guy who pushed me to sing in public in the first place was huge on that... he'd play Wayfaring stranger on his guitar and have me rapt. I try and remember that when I'm doing recordings and try and keep some level of dimension in the music. I am not responsible for the music on this one, only my vocals and my vocal mix but I couldn't resist sharing here :)
Thanks Rei... I'm working hard on getting my own stuff done so I can put together a cd at least (I've been saying I'm gonna for almost a year now lol) but tracks like this are a welcome distraction from burying myself in acid. Glad you liked this :)

The production sure sounds quality to me ... what program did you use? I use Ozone but even with all its fancy features I never get it quite right.
